Ill fix things up when i get home...

Very Cool!

There isn't much wrong with this ROM. The sync fix works for phone FC and needs to be applied after each reboot. And of course the other bugs mentioned...
But it's solid. Rock solid.
My only peeve is the LED charging light, still can't find a way to take that off. I've tried all solutions. But that's not a deal breaker for me anyway.

waouh , it 's look very fast and smooth on xt925 :good:
test in progress .....

Im trying to figure it out. The standard overlay isnt working.

No problem. Take your time with it.
Another bug I noticed is that daydream never seems to activate. It seems like there is supposed to be a settings button, but it's gone. Very minor detail; I had never used 4.2 so it was something I wanted to try immediately.

HAHA. Yea, I caved. I was hoping to put it off a while.

Haha, I didn't want to get admonished for talking about ROMs in different topics.
And I mean daydream works, but it doesn't activate on its own. I have to do it manually. I can probably just have tasker do it if I'm so inclined...

Yeah. I enabled all options in fact, just to be sure.

Oh, how I've missed AKOP. Thanks!

What do you need to get camcoder working?
It's essential for me

Not a single data drop or data issue all day. Come home and get non WiFi and every time I pick my phone up there's no data or WiFi connection. Takes like 20 seconds to reconnect.

leary
I have yet to root or unlock the boot loader as I have not found a definitive way yet to flash my XT926 (Maxx HD) to cricket. My question is does this include a open radio? One that users can place what ever they want in the fields for ease of flashing? If so I am gonna take the plunge, if not and it is still stock radio then I am going to wait until I can make a good flash then grab this
Thank you for all the hard work and dedication.

ALPHA #4 of CM9/ICS for Droid 3
DON'T LET GOOGLE RESTORE YOUR SETTINGS WHEN INSTALLING THIS ROM COMING FROM GINGERBREAD
An OMAP4 optimized build using CM9/AOSP sources. I used some of the published Moto Source from D3 and RAZR where I felt it was appropriate to get the low level services running.

KNOWN ISSUES:
- Leaving Bluetooth on but not paired causes all audio to stop working on the phone. If you turn off Bluetooth then audio comes back.
Temporary Workarounds:
- For GSM/WCDMA users please enter *#*#4636#*#* into the dialer. Then goto "Phone Information". Near the bottom of that screen there's a drop down of network preference. For GSM-ONLY use GSM (PRL). Exit that screen and reboot the phone.
What is working in this build:
Fixed Data usage stats
Removed useless FM radio apps
SD Card change: internal = /sdcard, external = /sdcard-ext (just like Motorola setup)
Facebook sync
Voice search fixed
Trebuchet as launcher (Nebkat rules)
Many hard keyboard issues resolved (including B key! Thanks to Tezet)
Bugfixes from Alpha #1
Embedded GApps (for now)
Larger default apns-conf.xml file for international use
Embedded WirelessTether app
3G Data
Audio
phone is connected to the network
Wifi
GPS
Bluetooth
SD Cards (needs testing again)
HW Accelerated Graphics (RenderScript apps will have issues -- like Web Browser)
Adbd
What isn't working:
Camera (in progress)
Some Codecs (in progress)

This build doesn't crash alot like the last one. You can really see how smooth the UI is.
And what flashing issue did you have?

Awesome. By flashing, I meant how the screen would go black and the weird Chinese error messages would pop up. That got in the way of seeing how smooth it was. For the few seconds it didn't crash, it was very smooth.

Does this mean you have decided.....
Does this mean you have decided to use your development time with ICS rather than finish CM7? So far, your CM7 is coming along nicely, but without video cam support, I may have to go back to a non AOSP build which I don't want to do. Can you tell us if you intend to work on CM7? Personally, I'm far more interested in a clean CM7 than ICS.
Thanks again!

I do intend to jump back into CM7 and clean up some of the open issues. But, I'm on heavy grind seeing how far this ICS build can go and how quickly.
As far as I know making the camera / camcorder work in ICS will be easier than in CM7. But, I haven't gotten into that section yet. It's the ICS audio that worries me.
Right on man! Thanks for all the work you put into the d3

You need to edit the build.prop located in the system folder. Recommend using winrar
/system/build.prop
Once there, you will open the file and edit it using a word processing program of you choice. Notepad is fine.
Use search/find button till you locate something that says this Default network type. # 4 => CDMA
From there change the 4 to a 3.
Then next to it you will see this ro.telephony.default_network=4, change it to 3.
This should work, if it doesn't please tell me so I can try and help!

If you need help with any of the rotation issues Dalingrin/Fattire might be able to help you out with that one. I know that the port for the Nook Color had funky rotation issues but that has long since been fixed.

Which ics version is the base for your port? If you're using older d3 ics code/version of hashcodes there was a problem with auto-rotation exactly like what i experience with this and miui4d3. I would request, if it isnt too much trouble and the old sys base is the case that you update the base to at least hashcodes current build and re-push the beta. Hopefully you'll get reports back that orientation/rotation are correct, you could send me a pm link if you need a test device before pushing to the masses.

Installed the ROM, there is MUCH to WORK, but it is in right way.
Go ahead.
This Rom, like MiUi, is much nicer with a differenr launcher.
Im using the Xperia launcher and everything is smooth, fast, and has been good so far.
At first I couldn't get the home capacitive button to work. It wouldn't do anything. Had to add a "soft key" through Cyanogenmod settings. Then I flashed Faux 1.45 kernel, and magically the use of the home button came back!
Ive had the phone reboot on me while browsing the web, and then I had it just completely shut off, couldn't turn it back on until I pulled the battery.
Not sure it its kernel related, but im gonna keep it on for a day or 2 and see whats what.
I'm coming aboard tonight! Been on MIUI for a while now but looking forward to fully working ROM!

Open voice dialer app and say "Open apns" it's gonna take you to the Apn menu. Select the lte Internet apn(hit the selector) and lte should come back. Same thing with 3g....if it goes away then select the Ehrpd Internet Apn.
Also in a Launcher like Nova you can setup a shortcut to the Apn menu.

Just check your cpu frequency after you boot and sign in. Sometimes the low frequency locks at max and burns up the cpu. Just set It to its lowest and you wont kill your phone.

Disable screen on for SMS

I flashed rooted lollipop yesterday and I've got something simple I can't figure out. Since the upgrade to lollipop, my screen turns on briefly whenever I receive a text message. Before lollipop, I'd just get the led light if the screen was off, which is what I like. I've adjusted all the options, turned off message preview, turned notification while locked on/off through sounds and notifications, and everything else I can think of. The only two outcomes I can get are zero notifications at all for SMS, or normal led and vibrate with the screen turning on when received. Any ideas?
Is this not the setting you're looking for?

So then it appears you are running Lollipop through the muniz_ri method...I suggest checking out TMS5...awesome ROM, super smooth. Much better options than stock, and more to come.

No kidding, it was quite clear they were running stock and wanted a solution FOR stock. Posting that its working for you while on a rom pr otherwise modifed is not helpful and only adds to confusion.

Well I didn't realize they were on stock from the beginning, or obviously I wouldn't have posted and put up a picture, duh. Posting telling me I made a mistake after I already realized I made one and corrected it was completely uncalled for, but thank you teacher, guess I'm clearly not as smart as you are
Thanks for all the help. It certainly seemed like a stupid simple checkbox somewhere, just left out of the stock rom I guess. First time running stock in a long long time so I just assumed I had missed it somewhere.

Yes, it must be something TalkingMonkeys did to the apk itself to make the option appear. If you like when I get home from work I can upload the messaging apk and you can try swapping it for the one on the stock Rom... It may work but I would do a backup in FF first on case it causes crashes or force closes.

Thanks. I was having an issue with a memory leak on the 4.4 rom I was on and since I was going through the trouble, I wanted to go ahead and move to lollipop. At the time, there weren't too many options and the new TM rom wasn't up yet. I'll probably just ride with stock until the TM rom settles in and move over to it. Thanks for the offer.
