[Q] How about some Games? - Sprint HTC One (M7)

What is out there as far as gaming goes to show off the audio/video awesomeness of The One?

I've been showing off ravensword. Its not the absolute best graphics but they are great. Its like mobile skyrim honestly. Modern combat 4 is pretty great graphics wise.

I've been using into the dead. It's free, but doesn't have the most beautiful graphics but they don't suck. It's just one of those games that is easy to play and fun. Plus it's free.

The ones I'm playing right now that look pretty awesome:
Simpson's tapped out (free)
Zombieland (free)
Real racing (free)
Temple run oz
Plasma sky (retro but fun)
Star wars pinball
Rayman jungle run

I like to show off this phones power and graphics capability by using some popular emluators:
PSP emulator - PPSSPP
NDS Emulator - NDS4Droid
and of course the Playstation Emulator - ePSXe

Just finished Ravensword Shadowlands, great game, close to Skyim in some ways, and I have 100s of hours in Skyrim.
Real racing is great for a free game. Working on that next.
Anything else to look for?
Thanks for the recommendations.

Real Racing is pretty cool and its free - but the files size is over 1 gig.

ShadowGun : DeadZone
awesome online multiplayer, combination of COD and UT. US servers are flaky, but I play on the Europe servers with 0 lag. Great graphics, very fast smooth action. and its FREE!

Spectral Souls - As far as I know the ONLY Strategy JRPG type on the market and IIRC it's a PSP port, but it's very well done and looks and plays amazing.
Game Dev Story - It's very simple but incredibly addicting. I don't know what genre you'd throw this in besides casual, but you take a game company from nothing and turn it to greatness.
Wordsmith - This is my favorite Scrabble clone, I prefer this over Words With Friends and Wordfeud. It just looks better to me and the on the fly score preview is great for those like me who don't care for manual counting.
3 Kingdoms TD - This is an odd game, but amazingly well done and my favorite Tower Defense game at the moment. It gets constantly updated with enough content that you would thing would be charged for, but it's all free (outside the purchase of the game of course). The graphics are great, it has a mildly bizarre storyline and it's very addicting.
Zenonia 2 is a great old school rpg game, Demon Hunter is pretty decent as well.

I concur regarding these two.
Also would have to add:
Radiant HD - Nostalgia at it's finest, harkening back to the days of Space Invaders, with a corny storyline, and relaxing music to go along with it.
Gailardia - Also brings back memories, this time of NES RPG's [namely Dragon Warrior], and has a painful difficulty curve [going from area to area requires several level ups before it's even survivable]. I'd only recommend for the hardcore RPG gamer.
Illusia - Originally an iOS game [had it on my iPod Touch.. don't shoot me for owning one ], and is quite good for a sidescroller RPG. Faintly reminiscent of Maple Story.
Definitely Cordy, Angry Birds, and Words with Friends. I did see that Adult Swim did release Robot Unicorn Attack finally for Android. It is a bit laggy, but still really fun to play.
Mini squadron is alot of fun!

Games Compared To Iphone Games

Don't get me wrong I think Android is great but I think it lacks a lot compared to the games for Iphone.
Why havn't the Devs come along and built the same type of QUALITY games for android that they have done for Iphone?
I have just sat for about an hour and hunted in the Android market for games similar to games ive just searched for on the itunes store, and all I can really find is cheap nasty replicas with bad graphics, shocking reviews and even scamming copies of certain games Zombies WAW is one thats on the market now.
Does anyone think/know if the gaming quality will be ever be as good as the Iphone, becasue I hate Iphones and it would kill me to get one to just play decent games.
Hmm, doubt it.
Sent from my Optimus 2X using XDA App
Why searching the same games? If I want to play iphone like games no doubt the best choice is....iPhone.
Android is the first operating system on phones in the world, and if you want good games you can have plenty... Android is not ios so don't think you'll find the same apps.

+1 for that. Android has many great games. for examples, games made by gameloft have nice graphics. Or from Pocket Legends. Cut the Rope (similar to iOS) also nice, angry birds, etc. Or my other favorite puzzle/mystery games such as mystery of the crystal portal, paranormal agency, etc. Many great games. Maybe it's because there are many more free games in android, many developers just upload crappy games. But if u want to search games that may (or may not) resemble iphone, u'll be pleasantly surprised at the results. Some android phones have better hardware than iphone. So, I guess there'll be many games that u'll love as long as u can find them.
The iphone is the most popular phone in the world.
Game companies want to make the most money possible.
They choose Apple over Android.
...
mega profit?
That is the only reason. That, and the fact that they only have to make one version of said game that will work on pretty much ALL apple devices, whereas, a decent looking Android game wont work on phones without GPU's, which is probably around 40-odd% of all Android phones on the Market.
Eventually, android will catch up with games and apps, and the gap is getting smaller and smaller all the time. It wont take long.

I really do hope they catch up, this is my list of PAID apps which are great but i'm a little disapointed at the THD games there are so few to choose from, I thought that the Nvidia Tegra Zone would be packed with great games, and at the moment there are only appox 15 games avaliable and it's been out quite a while now.
Sentinel 3: Homeworld
Samurai II: Vengeance THD
Airport Mania 2: Wild Trips

What are your favorite games?

I know it's a pretty broad topic but I wanted to see what are some of the communities favorite games.. I never use to play games on my phone until recently and I must say, some can be kind of addicting lol.. I am by no means a "gamer" so that's why I thought it would be nice to get a conversation started regarding people's favorite games
Free or paid, it doesn't matter. If possible, post a Market link to the game your referencing and maybe a little description on why you like it
So, some of my favorite games thus far are pretty general
Battle Bears: Zombies
-I loved this game on my iPod.. The android version is pretty good.. Who doesn't love popping heads off pink bears?
Ninjump
-Simple and addicting. Love the simple UI
Angry Birds
-I don't really know why, but this has to be one of the most addicting games I have ever played..
Well so far those are the only games I've really played.. Your turn!
Asphalt 6, NFS:HP, Riptide GP, GT:Racing, Fingerboard, TrialX2, Spiderman, Minecraft.

Some games only works with device sproofer, the user rchad28 explained who to do it.
rchad28 said:
If anyone uses Device Spoofer to move your games over to your ext sd card. Make sure you spoof a device similar in screen size to your Tabs. Example:
I wanted to download Uno HD.(Because me and girl can play on my Tab 2 7) But after downloading and moving to ext Sd. The game was in HD but the game touch features was way off. I had problems with it. Since I spoofed my device as a Galaxy Nexus The game was HD, but the touch scree was horrible.
The Fix.
I had to Spoof my device as previous TAB 7 device and now my Uno hd works fine. All my games are running even better.
So if you spoof your Tab 2 7, spoof as a previous Tab 7 Device. Same for you Tab 2 10.1 owners, Spoof as a previous Tab 10.1 device.

Regarding price drop. HERE is our statement. The main reason: piracy rate on Android devices, that was unbelievably high. At first we intend to make this game available for as many people as possible - that's why it was for as little as buck. - It was much less than 8$ for SHADOWGUN but on the other hand we didn't dare to provide it for free, since we hadn't got XP with free-to-play format so far. - However, even for one buck, the piracy rate is soooo giant, that we finally decided to provide DEAD TRIGGER for free. Anyway - DEAD TRIGGER is not FREEMIUM, it always was and still remains FREE-TO-PLAY, that means, all players are able to play it without IAP! We stand up for this statement, because all members of our team are playing (and enjoying) DEAD TRIGGER without IAP.

Can't remember if we had any games for the ZX80, so my favourite oldschool game would have to be 3D Monster Maze...
I did love all the Sonic games on the Megadrive too.
Old school..
Kung Fu
Metroid
