[Q] Have i been hacked ??? YES on my IPHONE , but what about my Samsung Galaxy - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

OK guys , bit of help please
i know all my PC (3) and New imac have been hacked ( confirmed by a variety of experts and other forums )
here are some of my files on my samsung from 4 months ago
samsung GT-S5830
andriod 2.3.6
baseband S5830TDCKT4 gets 14 hits on google
gingerbread.DCKT6 gets 28 hit on google
kernel version [email protected]#1 sorry I can’t see it clearly in the photo i took at the time ( happy to post the photo if somebody wants to see if they can read it )
As far as i know i have never upgraded the software ,because when i hit the upgrade button , it asks me to sign up to samsung account and ive never done that or have an account with samsung
here are my files today on my samsung GT-S5830
android 2.3.4
baseband S5830DDkQ5 69 hits on google
gingerbread.DDKQ5 gets 8600 hits on google
kernel version 2.6.35.7-perf-CL518855 [email protected]#1 gets 6 hits on google
P.S
In addition I have the following files/folders on my unjailbroken Iphone ( well i bought it new and had a restore done in the apple store on the 27 dec 2012, and never resynced or connected it to a computer until last month ) , i have 15 unknown files and folders on my iphone i cannot find any where on google , contacted apple but they dont know either ( but i can find one file on google from a developers website , anyway i will post all Iphone the files below )
Here are two files just so you know that yes my iPhone was hacked , also despite 3GB on my iPhone I can only back up 150mb ( happy to send plist files if anyone wants to look )
https--conf.skype.com-ios-remoteconf422-com.skype.skype.plist
https--conf.skype.com-ios-remoteconf450-com.skype.skype.plist
If you do a Google search there is only one result for the 422 file , no results for the other folders or files , I will list the rest of the iPhone files and folders at the end .
No matter if I search files/folders on my mac/PC/iPhone/Samsung / nokia I always end up at Github , pasteandshare , googlecode, or any other developers website , I also know my attackers personally , and know they develop apps for the iPhone, android , community tools bars and Facebook apps .
I also have the iPhone file when an attack was performed on my phone during a conversation , happy to post if somebody wants to look at it . Also happy to provide any files from full iPhone back up to any other files you would like me to search for , I only have the Samsung and iPhone in my possession , not the nokia , but I can get it back .
keep in mind i bought my phones brand new , and never modified them
my question is on my samsung phone when i google my version of gingerbread , i only get 28 hits on google !!! is that normal ???
on my nokia phone i have a whole lot of certificates and when i do a google search i only get 9 hits 1 link takes me to ww .dospy.com
and when i look around the site , my certificate has a laughing smiley next to it
here are the files on my nokia phone
Nokia 110 ( I think but I can confirm later if required , it is in another country but I have photos, but they are just of the screen showing the files )
I first knew something was wrong when the MMS configuration button was greyed out ( don’t ask me what button exactly as it was months ago I just know nokia don’t make buttons or option on their phone that are greyed out )
Anyway here are the certificates and any other info I have photos for ( and looking at the picture it looks like there where another 10-20 certificates )
• Class1_PCA_G2_v2.509.der 9 results on Google
• Class2_PCA_G2_v2.509.der
• Class3_PCA_G2_v2.509.der
• Class4_PCA_G2_v2.509.der
Unfortunately I can only read the beginning of the next files
Class1_PCA_G2_v2.5… after the 3 dots I don’t know
Class2_PCA_G2_v2.5… after the 3 dots I don’t know
Class2_PCA_G2_v2.5… after the 3 dots I don’t know
Under the screen streaming is as follows

Use.pref.access pt. : yes
Acc.point sett. Looks greyed out so I presume it was not set

Possible solutions:
1) Register for Samsung Account and upgrade the software. Security fixes may be published to your phone by Samsung.
If you are paranoid download AV software (Avast prefered in your case)
Factory reset iPhone and Nokia phone. Upgrade iOS to latest version.
2) Stop being so damn paranoid. I'm a developer and as far as i know no one can hack any phone without user permission (app wise).
Install only trusted apps (possibly only from Play Store), and read permissions for each app before you install it.
SMS messaging app will not need camera permission.

Are you serious ???
umm where do i start
I have police reports , a solicitor , meetings with the Australian Federal police , 15 files and folders on a non jailbroken Iphone , i know my attacker , i have the Skype record of the attack!!!!!!!! ( i have the iphone backup record showing the attack !!! ) , i have reports from a private detective agency , the lead forensic examiner has 25 years experience with the Australian Federal police ,however they have only verified my computers . And as I had the same 15 files and folders on my iphone before the in store reset , and despite not restoring my iphone and setting it up as a new iphone i have once again the same files and folders on my iphone .
Sorry i have had gmail . Hotmail ,Facebook , website hacked , lost $30000 and my business , over the last 12 months , i have contacted apple legal 3 times ,contacted apple developers ,paid my $100 to also develop apple applications, and sent the files to be looked at , , used oxygen software , cellebrite , os forensics , have read the book hacking and securing IOS apps by Jonathan Zdziarski and if you had a apple developers license , you would know if you develop an in house app , you can push it onto iphones with out the users permission and change all the settings and permission without any interaction from the user ,
In fact i have been in contact with all those companies who make forensic software and am offering up my iphone back ups , its full of plist hacks , changes to iTunes on my computer , folders that should not be there , and remote configuration for skype that dose not get a hit on google.
And finally it has been forensically proved my 3 computer and i mac was hacked and i have a case that will be followed in the courts in a few months , and as its very expensive i am trying to see if my other phones were compromised
So my question still remains ,
as a side note how often dose somebody here get 1 , 4, 7, 13 hits on google ????? iphone , imac , windows pc , when i look at certain files i get it a lot !!! out of intrest when was the last time anybody here got less than 10 hits on Google ?????
there are 775,000 apps in the iTunes store , and many more for jailbroken iphones
there are more than 56 million iphones sold why am i the only one with my files and folders ( well i know why , same reason my 3 pc and imac got done ) , but im asking about my Nokia and Samsung
and yes if i end up on a site called ___.dospy.com and there is a laughing smiley next to my certificate well ummmm , all things considered ( like 3 pc , imac , iphone and $30000, 12 months ) yer , not paranoid , just on a mission
You trying to tell me nobody here hacks phones ???
ask me for iphone files , only too happy to supply them and if your an apple developer , great , tell me who made them , what they do , read the plist files and tell me what they are configured for , cause nobody else has
even happy to pay some one to look

Thank you so much for replying , yes your not far wrong ,i have heard the occasional story where a few in america have had to change their names and move states , however my hacking is personal and they have not Actually stolen a dollar , but sure as hell could have , but they know full well that would automatically involve law enforcement , because when no cash goes missing , its a dam effort to get the law involved, but after 12 months , yer ive got some help finaly .
And now you a better understanding of my situation , may i ask one more question in relation to the Samsung. I then i will leave the subject alone as i already have enough proof that will stand up in court .
I was staying at a hotel when my laptop was hacked via wifi , and stupidly i connected my Samsung to the hotel wifi , and lets just treat it as a theoretical question , could you hack a Samsung via wifi and change the android version , baseband and gingerbread version , I ask because i bought the phone new in the box with the wrapper on at 5pm , at 4 am the following day i saw all the memory was full ( no sd card installed ) and so i went back to the shop , paid $5 for them to open another Samsung in the wrapper and it had different versions of everything , checked another already opened in his shop and it also was not the same as mine , went to the shop next door , Paid $4 to open another new in the box and it wasn't the same as mine . and again when i Googled the shops version of the settings the results in Google were in 100,000 ,or least in 10,000 range , but like most my **** i was back to my usual 10-90 hits on Google for some of my settings. And i wont tell you the rest of my story as i have been laughed off hacking sites before.
So just in theory would that be possible ?
Thanks in advance for any and all replies

to my knowledge, the way android is built you have to install or give access to an app in order for anything to happen
also most apps are designed to run with its own specific user so that only this app's user will have access to the apps files
in order to gain access to other files or folders, this sort of access needs to be granted (in most cases via SuperUser)
so if you got hacked chances are it's because you allowed/granted access to the hacker on your samsung phone

Thanks , again
Cool , yes i was not refering to any apps as i never added any , was just talking about the version of android , baseband ect , any way i have so many other areas to concentrate on , lets just say my Samsung came from a different shipment or something , thanks for your time .
Best response i have had from any hacking website when seeking advice. :good:

Chances are low that they could remotely update any firmware.
Go to www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/ and choose your model, and carrier. (Note: model MUST be written complete because there are various versions of Galaxy Ace.

[Q] wow my 600$ phone cannot receive business cards

Why are business cards not supported by the galaxy note.. Cuz most of my clients and friends use Nokia phones and I really need that functionality.
people have started making fun of my phone cuz it does not even acknowledge receiving a simple v card. And I have to ask them specifically not to send a contact as a business card..
Are business cards propritary of Nokia or is there some other reason. Now don't give me answers like its not supported because its an outdated method of sharing contacts
At least the phone should acknowledge something right. I don't get any notification if someone sends a bcard.
Erm? Quick look in the Play Store says your phone can... Go try out a few...

android phones are rarely ready out of the box, you have google play shop so you can cut the device to your needs that includes vcards

I have another problem but also about Note VCard, that Note send the Vcard as mms and not everyone can receive mms
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1542049
so is there any recommended app from that list to send and receive Vcards?
I've seen problems with vcards of all sorts when going from brand to brand and OS to OS. It's very common. Try receiving an Iphone one on another device to see the trouble.
Manufacturers seem to love to tweak the formatting of them just enough to make them unrecognisable to other manufacturers etc.
Most manufacturers don't see it as being of great importance, since the vcard has basically been superseded by the advent of the better and more flexible text messaging systems these days. Why use an out dated vcard when you can send a person's full business card in a easy read universal text format that android will automatically format into fields for U?
They can laugh, but it's them using antique methods that is funny.
To get around this, there may be a vcard app in the market, or you could try the excellent GoSMS Pro, which might handle it, but good luck, the old system often does cause problems.
Next time they laugh, hold on a contact on your device, press share, send them a contact by sms and see if they really think yours is the problem.
get a file browsing app for your phone, navigate to the vcard file, and try launching it. you should get the option to open it with 'contacts' or similar app.
let me know how you go.

yep, that's where they go when my g/f sends me vcards from her sgs2.
don't know how it's going to work if they're being sent from a nokia, but usually they're just attachments to an mms.
This problem occurred to me today and before started posting here, I've found out that it's actually received as MMS?!?!
So in order for you to get the business card, you will have to goto your message, click on the XXXXX.vcf > Menu button > Attached Items > Select XXXXX.vcf > Save.
Then it automatically save it to your /mnt/sdcard/download.
Go there click on the XXXXX.vcf file and it will ask you where to save it...
Althou it works, but it sure takes lots of steps...
vcard issues with QR codes
I generally share contact information using barcode scanner's QR code. But the Note's contacts for addresses seems to completely screw them - my address ends up littered with semi-colons?
The other thing is that it doesn't add the contact information automatically the way my HTC Desire did, instead it just takes you to the contact's app and then you have to click add. Weird and typically bad user interface design from Samsung.
Shame this, as it's far and away the easiest way to share a contact's details with someone.
CRAP >_<
why dont ppl use sharaing via barcode or other beautiful options
there are many ways of sharing contacts
have you guys tried sending contacts through bluetooth? i always use this option and it's working for me.
just wondering?
yeah!! It works
or just exporting to memory card and importing is pretty awesome
Guys Iam not talking about scanning business cards. Nokia calls theirs contacts business cards..what I am saying is that apparently Samsung does not recognize a contact number sent from Nokia address book via the network.
the damn phone should atleast notify me that it has received some jumbled up crap from a Nokia phone via the network..
Ps-apparently sharing Nokia contacts aka business cards, via Bluetooth works but its limited by distance
I am running stock GB 2.3.6 and I can recieve .vcf cards from Iphones, and other andriod devices, but not WP/WM devices...
The "damn" phone as you put it simply does not recognise the "crap" from a Nokia phone and so cannot identify if it is correct or garbage..
Given their is no universal standard formatting of contacts, Being sarcastic about the Note and blaming Samsung for inter device incompatability is quite rediculous, however given you feel so strong, feel free to sell your Note and buy a Nokia phone.

Tell them to stop using some ancient ****ty proprietary format. Or get an appropriate app.

I love my note...I absolutely adore it, but am annoyed that it doesn't show any indication of receiving the business card at all.
Is there an app that can workaround this problem ?
Given that Nokia is such a big player in the mobile phone business is it so hard for Samsung techs to write a few lines of code to recognise a bcard ?
I have a lot of clients who uses Nokia phones and I can't ask all of them to get new phones now can I ?
Now if someone's sending a contact info I have to specifically ask them not to send as business card and that irritates the hell out of me cuz then I have waste my time explaining about compatibility issues.
I guess I have to live with it for now.... in a few years there won't be any symbian devices left and we'll all be one big Android family with no comparability issues.
Oh and mystic38 , save that energy to tear into an I phone fanboi will ye ?
Cheers

does WP have something like Recovery on Android ?

hello all...
I'm new to WP, so i need to do some reading about it , and i was wondering if WP have things like Recovery mode of Android that can backup and restore the whole system.
I'm asking this because i was googling it and all the result come out with Nokia , but unfortunately my device isn't Nokia so it concerns.
OK... so could someone please tell me does WP have something like Recovery ?
As I know of now , WP phone are separated in 2 parts , the OEM firmware and Microsoft WP OS., and for now there is WP8.1 GDR1 Preview , i'd like to update to it , but i have to think about first that how am I supposed to make my device back to stock OS if something goes wrong , it's gonna be much appreciated if someone could help me out of this ....
Sadly, no. WP7 did, but for some not-entirely-clear reason Microsoft removed even the option of creating such backups with WP8.
Some stuff is backed up automatically, if you enable the relevant options in Settings, so if you reset your phone (or buy a new one) and sign in with the old account, you'll get your apps and contacts and SMS and so forth back. However, there's no official way to downgrade your phone from a preview release. If you tell us exactly what phone you have, we may be able to point you at an unofficial one, though...
jepp , backup whole os is removed by MS.
but , things that get backuped:
your start screen and all your tiles and in the right order.
your theme.
SMS.
email accounts , you only need to re enter your password.
WIFI, only need to enter the key before you entered your live account (it also remember all the WIFI connections you made).
All apps you got from the store.
all your contacts (when you have them on any of your email accounts).
Facebook , twitter , LinkedIn, when you connected them with your live ID.
Game scores/settings.
App Settings.
but you need to turn this all on in settings.
The game scores and app settings stuff (and possibly some of the rest of that list) is 8.1-specific; older apps (like, say, Fruit Ninja which is actually a WP7.0 app) won't be able to use that feature. Just an FYI.

Chromecast Root installer Service

Chromecast Installer Service
Hi all,
I'm starting this thread because well i'm a fan of community work
I've been doing this awhile for Free Mcboot on the playstation 2 platform, were basically you cannot 'hack' your console without a hacked console. they've setup a thread were all installers are listed within every region and what system they support.
all you then needed to do is pick the nearest installer - send them a pm for there location details and requirements. send a bubble envelope containing the memory card and another bubble envelope with return adress and either transfer money for the postage or include it in the envelope.
this has actually worked quite well, therefore it would propose the same here.
If users don't seem to want to root the chromecast themselves or do not have the means todo it , they could send it to an installer - they root it and send it back.
since i already have a chromecast , i'm in no interest to keep your chromecast... altho if no money is provided for postage it will be kept until it's transferred - not going to do this with loss... that's just insane.
Anyway just wanted to provide a way for users to enjoy there chromecast to the fullest.
let me just put a list here :

Hubcap still works on new out of the box Chromecasts that haven't touched the internet.
Sketchy or not
Hi,
Thanks for the reply , it does indeed seem odd that someone would take the time todo this for free...
but by this i could give something back to the community instead of leeching whatever other user brings out.
and since i've done this for awhile now in the PS2 scene, there are people who trust people todo this just because they have either not a way todo it or don't know how to do , and rather leave it to someone who has atleast done it once or could recover if they do it wrong.
And since you only need to pay the postage, it's a fair deal. unlike a webstore charging +$10 because it's rooted
and yes there are bad people in the world , never has been otherwise.
That's why there's a list so you could atleast see who you could trust.
i admit , i don't seem trustworthy with 0 posts and bad english
just google "fmcb installer xtremegamer" first hit brings you straight to the FMCB installer service , ask the OP starter there if i'm trustworthy.
In the end it's your decision, always open to anwser any questions.
Thanks - sorry for the long read

note 4, facebook and some other questions

as i was considering the note 4 and contemplating between note 4 and lg [i think it was] g4, i had the problem with deciding becoz of one has fb on it, the other one no pen. [my carrier is t-mobile, although not in the us, i sit in the eu, but i don't think there are too many differences, hopefully]
which leads me to my problem.
1/ if i turn on the phone without sim or anything inside, and disable the apps i don't need/want, will they go dead, or will in the case of fb happen this:
[there would have been some links from android central where is described that fb-app updates itself outside of play even when disabled. that this is some kind of security issue, and that they told google about it, also fb about that, with the answer live with it or change your phone. they also told samsung about it. and that there is a samsung usa ticket for that: 2135760316 [that post is from 05-13-2015, 11:32 AM, by kelly kearns]. as it is impossible to post links, that's the only way i can put it here somehow]
so basically, there is no way to get rid of this useless thing, if i understand it correctly? and i have to accept, that even if disabled, it will still enable itself and update? therefore, next point ... if there is no account of that junk, does it still try to get every thing on the phone because of the permissions it has been granted, even if it is disabled?
therefore², if i disable an app, does that mean, its basically dead i.e. doesn't do anything compared to being enabled? or what does disable exactly mean?
[um, yes, i totally dislike fb, therefore ... you get my point]
1.1/ in one of the copied links above [or was it somewhere else] someone said something about an app that freezes other apps or something like that. might that have the desired effect for me?
1.2/ after putting in the sim and signing in to google ... what will that disabled fb do? or is it basically as said in the screenshot of that conversation ... you not liek, take other phone? [who are they? god? .... oh ... wait, actually ... given the ties to nsa ... nevermind]
2/ as this is my second android phone, so, if i add the google account on that phone, it copies every thing that's stored on the old one to the new one. but ... wot exactly happens with the apps it copies? are they still the same version as on the old phone or during the copying are they being updated? i'm asking, coz there are some i don't want to be updated, tune in for example [as i don't like the added social something and wotever came after my version]. or stays the app the same and i have to update it myself?
2.1/ regarding copying ... wot happens with my sms and call logs? and, can i decide what i want to be copied or is there no option of choice?
2.2/ same goes with the games i copy ... like the doctor who one from tiny rebel games. do i lose the current point where i am or not?
3/ is there any way to port or copy the s note from note 2 also over to note 4, or any chance to find the apk of it somewhere? it's just, that the note 4 version doesn't do idea note and sketch any longer, as those are the two templates i used most, as it is.
[eta] 3.1/ what about the dictionary and the handwriting? does it have to learn both from scratch or is it also going to be copied?
tnx a lot in forward for answering my questions,
meh

as i was considering the note 4 and contemplating between note 4 and lg [i think it was] g4, i had the problem with deciding becoz of one has fb on it, the other one no pen.

Regardless of whichever phone you get. Just go ahead of root it and use Titanium Backup or another root App. I personally use Rom Toolbox because it's App Manager lists the apps by APK name. Use an app like what I suggested to remove all the garbage you don't want.
I personally chose the Note 4 over the G4.
yes, i could root, but then i'll lose any ounce of warranty. i don't know when t-mob changed that, but that's how it is now ... and given my track record there might be a day when i might need it.

Hello world!

Hello,
Registered some time ago, but recently starting lurking and viewing information on this forum. As you guys created a special forum for introductions I decided it would be nice to create a small and brief introduction.
I am an all-time iPhone user looking to expand his horizon and see what's possible on Android. I've never really interacted with it but because of my interest with phones and IT I would love to get started! I didn't buy a phone yet, but I am looking to do so in about 1-2 weeks. It will be a midrange smartphone (budget ~€500) so if you have any recommendations I would love to hear them. I have my eyes on a Samsung Galaxy S21 or S22. That or the newly introduced Sony Experia 10 V.
Hope to learn and share a lot in the future. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask!
Cheers!
First thing is some countries have strict lockout functions on their devices. So i would check to see if that applies to limits you may or not have available . IPhone is verry limited to the user and not for someone trying to write or execute code .Though you can install a terminal emulator on iphone , but it wont allow you to do much except view limited lists of whats stored in the device . Execute command higher functions and access to system files are not allowed . Android phones provide alot of options when you want to customize. in 2023 google has been putting limits on what they allow to install from play store. Programs that use SU have been restricted to features and may require going 3rd party to download. Be shure to research everything about the 3rd party before downloading because it's at your own risk .I would strongly recommend getting ProtWal firewall. It helps control alot of app running amuck online that can leak information , drain battery , and slow browsing experience .You need to understand alot about the system apk. and what you install to determine what to , and not block from wifi or data access. Some are providing security and shouldn't be blocked .Next is getting a good anti-virus software like Avast and use the app locker to prevent unauthorized access .If you getting a phone in Android 13 you have a ton of settings and research to do on how to set up you device settings security and what bloatware you wish to disable .It took me a few weeks to discover all the things that can or not be done .If you buy a phone through you mobile carrier it may have some features locked that you can't change unless you paid the device off and services to get an IMIE unlock code to gain access to any carriers you want . Samsung and Google also took alot of liberties with their new devices by forcing updates regardless of the user wishes to accept or not .So if your going into use with SU programming you may want to buy a phone online that has been rooted and unlocked from any carrier again check for trusted sources before buying .One phone thats pretty reasonable priced and waterproof is the s20 fe 5g .It has a hudge amount of memory and supports Micro SD cards decent camera display and nice size screen for viewing. Still it can fit into a pocket .Otter case also provides excellent protection against dropping and never had one break yet ...Hope this helps ...Happy hunting
