Latest Trick Droid with latest TeaMSeven Kernel non OC ! ( stock clocks )

Stock Rom 1.29.401.12
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app

13329 seems a little weak for overclocked. I was thinking it could be more in the 13500+ area when out of the box you can get 12800+
Quads don't really mean that much overall but I was thinking it could be higher overclocked.

Its (non) OC just with the Performance Kernel, but it runs with stock clocks !!

@ xxsoulxx, got ya. I really expect some pretty high overclocked results for sure. This phone is a beast and when it gets unleashed a bit...WOW!!!

I have not actually rooted. It seems pretty stable to do so I just have not took the plunge yet. I am still kinda testing out what they gave me out of the box. Rooting and supporting the developers by me will happen soon though....

I dont have screenshots here to post, but using Quadrant on my new HTC One, i regularly get scores of 12,000 +.
What the HTC One needs to make it complete is for a modder to make a graduated volume slider that goes up to 11 .... LOL

I did another run, this time with ARHD 7.1 and the New TeaMSeven performance kernel v3.8 = NON OC !! :good:

Camera on Topaz?

I'm 99% on Android right now. The one component left is the Camera. The log for the latest zImage system " all working" but for me it's still crashing the camera app after seconds without ever capturing anything.
Sent from my MSM using XDA App
The camera is just fixed in Android Userland. This is one step but camera driver is still missing at Kernel. As long this is not done there will be no camera.
But anyway nice step we took with latest release.

99% ?
smooth ?
can you tell me specifically what are you using so that you can have all that.
thanks
Userland is the Android system (like Froyo for example) which is common to all phones. It's the part you interact with. The Kernel is a driver layer which is specific to each phone (Topaz, Rhodium, Hero, Nexus one) that controls the hardware.
Like marcydarcy said when the driver is ready, the rest should work. That being said, getting the driver ready is no small task.

Here you go, all zipped up and ready to go. Please note that the battery indicated is off and the clock set to 650mhz. I'm using it for daily use at this point. Camera of course doesn't work, battery indicated does work if you turn it on but it's a bit finicky. Seems to affect all XDAndroid builds. I haven't stripped the software down any, planning on doing that another time.
Other then all that, rock solid. Runs all the apps i've tried so far, doesn't lag as long as you don't add a ton of widgets. Same signal quality i got before (flawless everywhere in town.) About as good as it gets with a Pure. Wish i had more RAM and a better touchscreen daily though.

http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=07997067176339441747
That was difficult enough. XDA needs to modify the timeout period for uploads. Can't upload the archive fast enough.

[Q] Hit the 5 month mark, should I finally root and lagfix?

I have noticed that when I click a button, I usually have to wait from 1-2 seconds before I get a response. Would lagfix take care of this? I'm running stock Froyo.
As many have stated all the lagfix does is help fix the very slow rts file system, it most likely would not help in your case.
Best thing to do is delete unused apps, and reboot the phone every day or to(seems to help mine out, cant guarantee results)
Also if you havent needed root in 5 months you probably don't need it
Unless you want to use opitimised roms, I dont see why you would need to root. Check your memory usage delete unused apps and reboot the phone ever once in a while.
My honest opinion, no reason to have an android phone if you are not using roms

Gonna have to agree with mcord here. had to go back to stock froyo for about 5 hours (didnt have all my tool to get back my 2.3.4 ROM) and it was horrible.
you might not be up for it but i really recommend flashing a Froyo Custom ROM from one of the xda DEVs. you'll love your phone and be amazed that it can be so much smoother and responsive.
First thing I did after i rooted was flashed a new kernel to overclock. Performance increased but battery life was poor. Then my first rom was cm7..been hooked since..tried miui once then went back to cm7.

This is what lagfix can do for your phone.
Im using stock mosaic V 2.3.4 rom with no overclock.

Providing arbitrary benchmarks does not seem like an actual reason to employ a lag fix.

No a Benchmark score is not the best example to lag fix your phone ,but the more power you get, plus better battery life and, better perrformance are great reasons to lag fix your phone. I just posted the quadrant score so kb0npw can see the increase performance from normal rfs file system to ext4(lag fix).

I dont think he thought it meant everything, he was giving a simple before and after which showed some improvement. Quadrant can actually be pretty useful when trying to gauge what effects certain changes have on your phone, say you score a 1900 before you change 'x' and then 2200 after that change, then you know its increased performance somewhat and youre moving in the right direction. How much it has increased your performance is debatable, however. My point is quadrant can be a useful tool when making changes on your phone if you take it with a grain of salt.
EDIT: To answer op's question, Read up on some custom roms and flash one, the difference is phenomenal and you'll wonder how you went 5 months without them. If you have any other questions feel free to pm me and I'll see what help I can be

[APP][EF02] Overclock

Tegrak overclock works on EF02 allowing up to 1.3ghz
Tegrak Ultimate can UV/OV as well
Don't see this here yet so just gonna let everyone here know that tegrak overclock has been updated and supports our epics. I also wanted to set up a thread to discuss internal voltages and such that our gingerbread epics like. It also appears we can only go up to 1.3ghz.
I reccomend buying tegrak ultimate to support this awesome developer
The free version of tegrak can be used but does not apply after reboot.

It works and shows in quadrant I got 3304 1.3ghz is a little unstable but 1.252ghz is perfect. The evo 3d got overclocked without source we just needed some love from tegrak

It works. 1.3ghz makes my phone crash. Probably because the voltage isn't set high enough cause it works fine on overclock froyo kernels. I am getting 3300+ on quadrant @1.252ghz w/journaling on though.

The hardware hasn't changed, so the simple answer is, whatever worked for your individual phone on froyo and eclair... Your values will be different than everyone else's, however, so a new thread won't really yield anything useful, just like the other threads.
As discussed before, any discussion of OC and UV settings its like trying to determine a universal diet for everyone - we're all human, but we won't all be perfectly healthy on the same diet. Sorry for the rant, but this particular topic needs to die already...

great news...can't wait untill the source code is released for gingerbread, so our great epic devs can really get this ball rolling, BTW, BIG THANKS to all of our epic developers out there, you guys are doing a great job.........
but i think i'll stick with overclocked froyo till source code
STABLE 1.4ghz ALL DAY!!!!!
quadrant: 2966
linpack: 24.982
rom: syndicate frozen 1.2
kernel: genocide 2.0
I have mixed results at times by just enabling the app and going on any frequency below 1.3 I can somehow bog my phone down into a crash, but I'm going to keep testing.

Found A New Rom -CRONOS-

Dont know if anybody has tried this already, but found it while scouring the WEB
http://www.android-hilfe.de/custom-...om-lg-optimus-2x-cronos-ginger-x-1-1-0-a.html
Downloading now and testing ;-)
It seem like a Similar to CM7 but it has a new menu called X Tweaks
Quandrant 3515 with CPU set at 1400mhz
In the photo I currently have Go Launcher, but the rom DOESNT NOT come standard with that on
I think it's been discussed before: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16207829#post16207829

Thanks for mentioning this still!
I didn't know that Feeyo is now creating ROMs for the O2X too. Sad about the past issues, but in all fairness, he did build good ROMs.
Before i bought the O2X i owned a Hero. He has made fine roms for this device.

3515 On the quadrant set at min and max to 1400mhz
For normal use I have mine running at 300mhz min and 760mhz max with Go Launcher and it run's like a DREAM
It is a very good rom. At max 500mhz cpu speed the phone is still incredibly fast.
This guy has always delivered excellent roms, when he was developing for HTC Hero owners.
Take a look on his website and give him some feedback.

For what its worth still getting 12.000 on ARHD 12.0. Quadrant is a outdated test which doesn`t say much about performance of the phone. Its real user xperience that counts imo. Did you close all cached progs before running the test?
Nor ill clear caches to c what happens and its real quick on real life basis ill come back with results
