Music Apk

This one can be installed to replace.
http://development.piratemedia.tv/2010-06-06-music-mod-v1-6-mdpi-hdpi/
How to...
Copy the apk to your sdcard. Now for some commands.
Code:
su
mount -o rw,remount /system
rm /system/app/Music.apk
rm /system/app/Music.odex
cp /sdcard/Music.apk /system/app/
chmod 644 /system/app/Music.apk
reboot
That should give you the new music.apk. I had to reboot for the apk to take. Let me know if anyone finds anything else.

looks nice but I *think* it requires root. Also read something about being pushed through AVD so it could be that instead.
It does require root. But well worth it imo

another easy way to do this is to download the sdx app remover
http://roc-city.com/android/SdxAppRemoval-1.5.apk
it creates a folder on your sdcard called sdx, put the file into /sdcard/sdx/backup/app
the app will be listed, just check it and click restore app and it will install it under /system/app

C: / means to file its framework-ress.apk akasi in the copy on drive C, please see the file does not exist or if there is further to the next.
3. Extrack file icon that you have downloaded earlier into any place,
4. Open-framework res.apk with winrar / winzip but not in Extrack, then please go to the framework directory-res.apk \ res \ drawable-ldpi there will be seen there are a lot of image file format. Png is as an icon on the Toolbar GAZZY.

TWRP Backup Location

Like the title says, where is the TWRP backup location? When using a file explorer I don't have the folder for TWRP, I wanted to move the backup off my phone but can't access it.

TWRP seems to be tricky on the Moto X. Boot into recovery and mount it from there, and then you should be able to see the folder from your computer.

Do you know why it saves the backups in there? Some apps like Nandroid can't find its path, do you know how to solve it, mate?
Copy the twrp folder at data/media/0/TWRP to storage/emulated/0/TWRP and change permissions to chmod 777 (rwxrwxrwx)

You can use the command line in a shell or use a app like root explorer, long press on the folder and you will see permissions in the list, go into there and change accordingly

Hi all. I just want to share how to change your splash screen, if ever you want a customized one. I created my own, for FENECK-Rom_GNT_DEV. So without further ado, here's the tutorial:

If you use this tutorial to produce a content on your rom think about granting credit to my humble effort (thanks)
NOTE: Tested perfectly on STOCK-Rom without any problems.
Pre-requisites:*
- Rooted device
- Terminal Emulator
- Back up!

WELL READ THE TUTO BEFORE ANY MANIPULATIONS (SAME SEVERAL TIMES)
Steps:
☆1.) Start emulator terminal
now for the codes:
☆2.)Now type:
su
Click to collapse
☆3.)Now it's time to pull out the param.bin, which contains the splash logo:
dd if=/dev/block/platform/15540000.dwmmc0/by-name/PARAM of=/sdcard/param.bin
Click to collapse
☆4.)Now we must create a folder on main sd card:
mkdir /sdcard/param
Click to collapse
☆5.)Then enter the directory:
cd /sdcard/param
Click to collapse
☆6.)And untar the param.bin into the created folder:
tar xf /sdcard/param.bin
Click to collapse
If all goes well, you can see a param folder in your main sdcard (mine is in internal memory), which has all the bootloader's images. Just copy the logo.jpg to your PC.
☆7.)Now you can edit the logo.jpg to your liking - note that the background should remain black, and the size should not be more than +-400KB.
☆8.)Once done editing, copy your customized logo.jpg on main sd card
☆9.)Then, we have to paste it inside /sdcard/param folder, and re tar param.bin:
cp -f /sdcard/logo.jpg /sdcard/param/logo.jpg
cd sdcard/param
tar cf - `ls | sort -t.` > /sdcard/param.bin
Click to collapse
☆10.)Lastly, we need to return param.bin in system:
dd if=/sdcard/param.bin of=/dev/block/platform/15540000.dwmmc0/by-name/PARAM
Click to collapse
☆11.)After these steps, reboot!
VOILA! Now you have your won splash image!*
