[Q] Dev Edition - AT&T LTE Band - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all -- I wanted to ask anyone with the HTC Developer Edition if the handset works on AT&T's LTE network? I know that it supports the 700 MHz band which ATT uses - but it does not support their 1700 MHz band. I was slightly confused with the "AWS" Term however. HTC One Dev edition does support "AWS" LTE but is AWS a band or some kind of connectivity protocol? AT&T supports the AWS band and so does the phone. All in all my question is if I buy the Dev edition and use it on AT&Ts network will I have good LTE connectivity?

Does this answer your question
I went to an AT&T store this morning and did a side by side comparaison with the AT&T on and the numbers were the same.
I just got my dev edition this morning and I put the SIM from my HTC ONE X.
The only difference is AT&T version says 4gLTE while the dev says LTE.

can I use boost on my att tilt?

I have an att tilt that I have unlocked and I am running Garmin 9 on it with manila 2d installed. I put in a nextel sim and it says contact service provider for details on setting up a network. Is my phone capable of using boost moble service? With the new $50/month pre pay with unlimited voice/data I need to set my phone up to use boost or list my phone on ebay and buy a new one. In that case who wants it? It's got garmin xt.
You can't. Boost uses the Nextel IDEN network, not GSM that the tilt has.
update: Boost also uses CDMA. Still can't use your Tilt.
from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boost_Mobile#United_States
United States
As Boost Mobile is wholly owned by Sprint Nextel they run on both Sprint's CDMA network and Nextel's iDEN network. Unlimited by Boost is designated for the CDMA handsets, while PayGo is for the iDEN side.
Thank you. That's kinda dingey, so if you have the iden phone you can't use the unlimited or vice versa?? Most of the nextel phone look crappy!

Not boost for you
I tried to get boost mobile to work with my tilt but the two just weren't compatible. I later switched to t-mobile prepaid, which works with both my tilt and fuze

Yay, kudos to the reference... I actually dug those out a couple of weeks ago and watching them again these days
Hate to bring back an old thread but now I feel stupid. I just bought an HTC KAiser to go ONTO THE BOOST NETWORK! LOL, so now I am basically going to have a brick in me house. *sigh* oh well.

[Q] Unlocked ATT Htc one running on TMO. No LTE?

Hello everyone,
I just got an unlocked black HTC one from ATT and I'm using it on TMO. I got the LTE apns from tmo but noticed that wasn't getting LTE at all. I called them and their customer rep told me that I would not be able to get LTE on a non T-Mobile cellphone... Wtf? Is there a fix for that at all? Their hspa+ is more than enough but it would be nice to have LTE too. I would appreciate any help on the matter. Would it help if I rooted and got CM for it?
Thanks for your time.
If the phone doesn't support the frequency bands for LTE you don't get LTE. It's that simple.

I looked it up and they are running the same LTE frequencies. Band 4 1700.

I may be wrong but, I think AT&T use 1900/2100 & T-Mobile use 1700/2100 and both are on band 4.

Okay so it's possible to get LTE on tmo with an att HTC one.
All you need to do is get the LTE apns and at the dialer do *#*#info#*#* scroll down to preferred network type and switch to CDMA + LTE.

But may be its software disable.
U have to select proper bands in hidden menu...

Reception issues with the Unlocked SM920-F on T-Mobile

So, I got the unlocked S6 off of eBay, SM920-F model. I made my research, it should work with the t-mo's LTE and all but so far it has not been playing ball with me.
First of all, even when I am on LTE on this phone, it just shows as 4G which is not a big deal, I can live with that but when I am on LTE, as you can see on the screenshot below, it does not show anything as to how strong my signal is,etc...If I am on H+ though, it does show my signal strength.
And my LTE(4G Signal) is always at about 2 bars at best, no matter where I am, even if I am in the T-Mobile store. I checked my APN settings but I don't think that's the issue.

Someone posted in another thread regarding LTE Discovery and the like apps don't work on the international models. I have the SM-G920I which is also International minus a couple of bands from your "F" global. Anyhow, with my Cricket Wireless sim the network status (not the lte discovery app) shows signal reception and movement however with my T-Mobile sim the network status does not move at all. Always shows -113. But if you use *#0011# the RSRP will show the true results of your reception. Oh and someone also mentioned that not all Global/International phones will display the "LTE" icon in the notification section even when you are connected to LTE. I believe it was carrier or tower/band specific.

XT1805 in USA?

Hello friends... I currently have a Moto G4, but am thinking about moving up to a G5s. I have searched some in these forums, but if you do not mind, please tell me your experiences. Mainly, I have seen a good price on a XT1805 which I believe is actually a European model. Will it work well in the US? I use Cricket which works off of AT&T towers, I believe. Thank you for your input.

If it works on cricket then there you go. I use straight talk that works off of Verizon. I have the US model XT1806.

If I'm not mistaken, the Moto web site has a carrier compatibility chart. Well, U.S. site so maybe not. The XT1806 is not even fully compatible with AT&T or Cricket.
Checking a couple of other places for the XT1805.
FrequencyCheck shows 100% for 2G thru 3.5G (4G speed) but no LTE at all. AT&T/Cricket.
WillMyPhoneWork, sadly, doesn't even have the G5S Plus.
GSM Arena shows these supported bands. You might want to check which of these the carrier uses.

Phone More shows this...
Amazon user reviews of this model with some U.S. carriers has not been good. I didn't go through a lot looking for comments specific to your carrier.
Yet another shot from FrequencyCheck. From last year.
I'm thinking the experience might not be too good.
