V30F = Fast sdcard reading - LG Optimus Black

Hi guys,
I was testing V30F today and I noticed that media scanner (sdcard read) is faster than any V30b/c or d.
I tested an absolutely stock ROM with stock kernel (from D and F).
It means that sdcard read problem on ICS ROMs is related to some file on /system.
It is not necessary to tweak init.d to get it working faster... (which for me doesn't make any difference)
But I really don't know what is the file that improves this in V30F...
Does anyone notice that?

From ver did u dwnld v30F???

yes v30x have bootloader locked, you can't inject CWM with LG Rom Converter, you can try U-boot => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2160394 but carefull with CWM 6.0.1.4 .

flashing only custom recovery possible ????

guyz previously i was using lg p500 and i found a method to flash only custom recovery on it.
link : ( forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1318750 )
Now i am using lg p970 n i m away from home so no computer with me. I just want to know is it possible to flash only custom recovery on lg p970.
If any one can test ,it would be of great help to all lg p970 users.
As i did for lg p500.
we need original partition file and recovery file.
using original partition file and renaming the custom recovery file to name as original recovery file. Flashing them both from flash tool used for lg p970 should install custom recovery without any changes to other memory area.
Is this possible ?
I think "lg extract" gives us partition n other files of system. is it ??
i havent used it. but hope some one of u try if its possible.
There is a cwm inject method on noob guide in general sections stickys i think.
Sent from my phone via tapatalk
Yes but if im not wrong using that method whole memory gets flashed. I mean flash only cwm recovery.

Yes u can flash cwm only. Look for cwm touch somewhere here. Redy made a flash script and the corresponding package with cwm touch in it. But you definitly need root, to flash it i think.

Hi I also had the same problem, after flaying this ROM my touch based recovery was gone, and when i flashed the touch based recovery 5.2.7 i was unable to boot in recovery it showed blue/black stripes. But changing recovery image did not helped me i had to use SUT but again i lost my touch based recovery.

That is the wrong way to do it, when flashing with SUT you will overwrite the images and you are where you came from. Looks like you have a mismatch of versions. For kernel 2.6.32 (GB) you need the older CWM from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1278027 (that works not with Sharp ROM, RC3 or any ICS version). For kernel 2.6.35 (Sharp, RC3 or ICS) you need the one linked earlier here. Just place the recovery.img onto the phone and reboot. Done.

Hello Snow, right now I am using a custom selfmade rom, its a mix from your Sperience and Stocklite v7.1, and the kernel its battery extender v1.2
Its very strange that folder, if I flash another kernel or change to another rom the folder its still there with no changes. If you see the date of the folder its 01.01.1970 ???
Do you have this folder in your phone? If it is a copy of a folder from the kernel, why its out of the boot.img???

[Q] Cronmod on Jellybean

Hey guys,
I tried to flash the Cronmod script on the latest Paranoid Android rom from OldDroid. First I flashed a patched servicr.jar, then
I mounted /data and /sdext, flashed the script and then formated /sdext.. but it doesn't work.
Can someone tell me what I did wrong there? Or is Cronmod not working on Android 4+?

I think mounting /system is enough because the script'll be placed in /system/etc/init.d folder

I know but we need to mount /system to push the script file into /system/etc/init.d folder as I told you
Anyway we can add a command line in the flashble zip file to do it automatically

Okay I tried it again but it still doesn't work..
I flashed Paranoid Android, then I flashed the patched service.jar from you directly. After that I wiped cache and dalvic cache and rebooted.
After the first reboot I went into recovery and mounted /system and /data then I flashed the script and formated /sdext.
I don't know what I've done wrong there.. Maybe I flashed the service.jar not correctly?

:weird:
Try mounting /sd-ext and formating it when the installation
If it doesn't work, extract the script file from .zip file and put it into init.d manually and set the correct permissons, finally reboot your phone, it should work too

Hmm I tried it now on another rom (ICS) and now it's working, but with some weird bugs. When I long press the on/off button (I mean the one in the right side) only the word 'shutdown' appears.. Usually there should be more than this one word (There should be buttons for silence mode, vibration mode,...)
Plus there isn't a lockscreen anymore.. weird
