I used to write apps for my phone and run them through adb, but recently I tried to do it and I realized I can't. USB drivers are installed, eclipse sees my phone, in android console it writes that application is installed but on my phone the app is not installed and won't run. But if I install the apk manually and then try to run it, it runs without any problems so I don't think there's any error in the code. Can you please help me?

Hey all,
facing a weird issue with SGS lately after ROM ing it with Darky's ROM 10.2 EE, my phone doesnt get detected by kies and also as a usb device
to resolve the USB issue i downloaded the USB drivers and reinstalled still it gets recognised as a usb device and i cant access it see screenie below
now this is a little pain as the stupid kies makes a single backup file of the entire thing and i cant import my contacts

I believe you have to be on a Samsung ROM for KIES to recognize the phone.
True hence need solutions as to how can I get back my data which was backed up by kies

(head in hands).......why didnt you just google all your contacts in first place, then you will never ever have this problem! kies wont recognise your phone with a custom rom on it! in future think before you flash

there is a way of getting your contacts back on phone but i have no idea what it is, but it involves converting the file format and pushing them back with adb, sorry i cant help you

Sure: Reflash a stock rom, restore contacts from kies, back them up using something else (port to google or use another wifi backup system on the computer). Then redo your custom flashing.
The details I don't know but that is the path....

It should be detected with proper drivers and a stock rom in kies. But better yet don't use kies its horrible.

Ok this is now frustrating me 2 days have passed withiut my phone getting detected on desktop wht to do?
tried cable change didnt work... Can anyone who has rooted to darkyrom 10.2EE confirm whether their sgs is atleast accessible via windows explorer as a usb device?

Just tried my sgs on darky 10.2 E and can access internal usb and external usb in mass storage mode
Its working now :S

You can download the USB drivers separately, install and try out different USB connectors. Maybe some old are bound to the odd drivers

Why don't you just use the "Browse all files" section in GooManager and manually download the ROM you want?

Install Java".
and i already have java installed???!?!?!! dafuq
i need to copy jelly bean to my n7000 so i can install it. and its 700mb...
and when i connect my device to my computer it doesnt detect it. and my phone doesnt say that its connected to a usb port.
So can you kindly help me guys?
OH and whats better? cm10 jellybean or Leaked Jellybean 4.1.2 with multiview?

try airdroid... and use a browser java enabled.
personally i like 4.1.2
Just reinstall java and make sure that the java plugin is Enabled in your browser.
If you ask me, I like the stock 4.1.2 better, and for that you do not need to copy things on your phone, just flash via Odin.

It's Chrome problem. Use IE.
I am having the same problem with Firefox and Kies Air. IE works fine. But even after uninstalling Java and re-installing the latest version, Firefox simply will not use Java for Kies Air. It all used to work fine a few weeks ago. I don't like using IE.
Any ideas?

Yes, it is, first thing I checked. FF had disabled it on its own stating some security issue. So I uninstalled the old Java and re-installed the latest version, and now it is enabled, but it still gives the error message that Java is not installed.
Using Firefox, go to the java.com page and select the option of verify java. This will make sure Firefox is able to access java plugins. If that website fails to detect java, try reinstalling Firefox
The java verify version page works with FF and states that I have the latest version installed.
So I'm not sure if any of u can help me...but I recently installed some nvidia updates including ntune...now my windows 8 computer won't boot, it wants me to restore, I click restore...sits on boot screen...idk what to do, I really need my files for school and can practically get into bios only...can someone pleaseee help

i really don't know whats the problem, but if you need to rescue some files, use the boot cd of ubuntu, i hope it helps!

well i installed it to usb, but im getting this too small to read screen, i select try ubunut and install ubuntu...but just a black screen...
It takes a while to load up...just click try Ubuntu.....or try xubuntu it has more of a windows feel to it

Hi,
I'm looking to download the newest firmware for my 301BL, as I am using it for Windows Phone so I can manually update the firmware.
I sideloaded this app to get it working...

There is a few apps in the WIndows Store that can install the firmware but, my watch is on 1.14.4 firmware and I know they are up to 2.9. My serial number starts with a Q and the hardware is V3R3 if that helps.
I tried to install some faces as they need SDK 2.0 or higher, they wont install.
Any idea where I can get these ?
