[Q] ROOT Xperia V 9.1.A.0.492 - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

Hi all, how can I root My Xperia? I've unlocked the bootloader, I have read several threads but I'm not sure about what method to use.
Any suggestion?
Thanks a lot!

you have unlocked your bootloader? The why do you need to root? Just flash a custom or stock based kernel.
PS, Can I ask why you unlocked your bootloader in the first place?

[Xperia T] Bootloader unlock allowed: No

Hello !
Let me ask you this quick question because I did not find an answer in the different topics on the forum.
I wanted to install Cyanogen 11 (Android 4.4) on my Xperia T but I get the message "Bootloader unlock allowed: No"
So I'm wondering if it is possible to unlock the bootloader.
Thank you in advance,

No! If it says no, there is no way to unlock it.

You can do anything that doesn't need unlocked BL. That means e.g. flashing stock ROMs, stock-based ROMs (most of them). But you can't flash kernels!
Just read every instructions really carefully so you won't brick your phone and everything will be OK
My phone is T. Xperia T.

[Q] How to root Xperia V 4.3 with locked bootloader?

You need to have a rooted ROM with CWM installed, and then install a 4.3 ROM that is rooted. If you don't want to do that you need to unluck your bootloader.
There are a number of threads dealing with the process, the best one probably from Matt.

[Q] Xperia Z1 C6903 Vodaphone, Bootloader unlock : not allowed. How to ?

Dear All,
First i thank you for you huge contribution to human needs in this planet ! You Rock dear community.
I'm more a reader than a contributor in most forums, i usually find the answers only by searching other people posts, but this time i couldn't find an answer .
I have an Xperia Z1 C6903, Vodaphone (i guess from spain), running Kitkat 4.4.2 with latest firmware 14.3.A.0.757.
I was trying to root it, i red practically all the methods here in the forums & elsewhere, and there was always one step that i couldn't bypass : UNLOCKING THE BOOTLOADER.
I took my code from Sony website, i tried many methods in vain. In my Phone it shows of course : Bootloader unlocking allowed : NO
My question is very simple : Is there on earth (even on other planets i can take the trip) any method to unlock my bootloader ?
Thanking you All in advance, and apologizing if this question is already answered in another topic, i really couldn't find it.
Awaiting your Help Dear Community.
Best Regards,
NO! There is no way to unlock it, there is no way around. Sony will generate the Code from your IMEI anyway but if will not work. Do not even try on Earth to find a way because there is not.
There is absolutely no need to unlock the bootloader in order to root.
Which is good news for you because you cannot unlock anyway.
In order to get root on the latest firmware then you just need to follow the link in my signature

Thanks All for your quick responses !
@gregbradley, excuse my question, but have you done this before on unlocked Z1 ? i mean will have full access to my phone ? (Install Super user, Titanium backup ... etc etc )
Thnaks Again.
once or twice
Just follow the 3 steps in the link
There is no need to unlock the bootloader, no need to backup TA partition (You only do that id you are unlocking the bootloader anyway), no need to use any dodgy rooting methods (Like Vroot etc)
Flash a 534 FTF
Install dual recovery
Flash a pre rooted rom
Takes about 10 minutes

Hello Again,
Done ! The method worked for me, my Z1 is fully rooted now even with my locked bootloader ! Thanks again
Only, and for those reading this post, specially Xperia Z1 C6903 owners, for step one you have to pick a specific FTF file and not any FTF ending with 534, The only one working (and gaining you Root access later on the process) is FW 14.1.G.1.534
Although you are on a recent FW, don't worry, after accomplishing the other steps, you will be back to the latest one.
N.B i tried many of the FTF ending with 534, but it didn't work except for FW 14.1.G.1.534
Cheers.

[Q]custom recovery for locked bootloader

Hey guys, i'm kinda still a newb with the xperia z1 so maybe my question was already answered, but i couldn't find anything.
I was wondering if it was possible to install a custom recovery, like cwm, with a locked bootloader. I found: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...cked-bootloader-cwm-recovery-6-0-2-8-t2187363
wich is for the xperia Z. Does anyone know if this is gonna work on our z1 with 4.4.4 too? If not, is there any other way to get cwm on a locked bootloader. Thanks in advance

It's been explained in some posts by our fellow devs in some of the threads - the answer is: no root without UB, because the kernel has a so-called 'verity check', which detects any system modifications and panics if it finds one, and for this to be overcome, there are already some kernels which bypass this check, but as you know, you can't install a custom kernel without unlocking the bootloader.
However, I saw some hopeful post about M, something about an exploit being available for half-root, enough to backup your TA and unlock bootloader with the option of re-locking it afterwards without losing your DRM keys.
