Karbonn S5 Titanium root found - Karbonn Titanium S5 Guides, News, & Discussion

Root Tool for the Karbonn S5 Titanium Qualcomm MSM8625Q Quad Core Phone found
For last few weeks I have been trying to find suitable method to root the Karbonn Titanium S5, without much luck, until I decided to try finding other devices with the same processors. Since the new Samsung Win i8552 also runs on the same processor. Samsung being an established brand would find root exploit quickly. So, I zeroed my search on this phone and Voila!, I found this link in the XDA forums, which reported, successful rooting of the phone by a tool called Framaroot.
Without much ado, I downloaded the tool and here is the result.

Please help phone not booting
Hi
I have a karbonn titanium s5 which i rooted using framaroot v1.6.1. The phone was successfully rooted. It was also successfully rebooting. Then i installed beats audio apk from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1816719, the second link - "ROOT_Beats_Audio____Installer.apk - [Click for QR Code] (1.63 MB, 23840 views)"
Now it asked me to reboot my phone after installing. But the phone shows the animation of karbonn and then the "eye" animation.
The "eye" animation freezes and nothing happens.
I have tried hard reset twice.
Also tried to boot in safe mode but it still freezes.
i can't go to the service center as the warranty is void due to root.
Please help

Try vroot.apk.. Download it from google. When all my attempt failed it helped me.

[TUT] Root Galaxy Mini 2 without PC

Hi guys, this is my first tut here, about an alternative way for rooting my S6500D...
Q : Why do I need this? There is a better and easy way already using CWM....
A : This tut will only give you root access, without a busybox, CWM, etc. If you want Root+BB+CWM, please follow an other TUTs.
Okey, Here we go...
This TUT is based on "poot" exploit created by giantpune from androidforums.com (We should thanks him/her)
He/She create this exploit for LG Optimus Elite originally, but mod it to work for several phone model.
He said that this exploit will work on android version 2.3.5 - 2.3.7. Thats why I try this on Jena
Giantpune from androidforums, posted original application and some modded apk to work with other phone.
To respect his work and his thread, I only attached a working apk that root my Mini 2.
And provide his thread's link, so you can download all poot apks from there, thanks him and his team, and maybe donating him.
Here is the link : http://androidforums.com/elite-all-things-root/612914-optimus-elite-root-apk.html
Requirement :
- poot-debug.apk for h866c (Huawei ascend Y). I tried another version, but fail.
- Ministro II. You can download it from Playstore.
- Please remove your SD card.
Step by step :
1. Install Ministro II from Play Store.
2. Install poot-debug.apk for h866c. I already attached it.
3. Create Poot shortcut to Home.
4. Turn on USB Debugging in the Settings>Application>Developement
5. Open Poot, it will request to download some Ministro library. This library needed by poot to work. You will need an internet connection.
6. After all library downloaded, close Poot. Its better to reboot our phone first.
7. Let the phone boot completely. If you have much app installed, kill all running app, so nothing can interrupt this exploit.
8. Open Poot, tap "Press Here to Poot" button.
- If the phone reboot suddenly, try again this step.
- If Poot app show an error log, like error : 87 or 22, reboot your phone and try again.
- If it still fail, try to reboot your phone. When lockscreen showed up, immediately unlock it while system scanning storage. Open Poot quickly (thats why I want you to put a shortcut in home). Then tap "Press Here to Poot".
9. If Poot show log like "successfully push su file to /system/xbin...bla..bla...bla", then you have successfully rooted your phone.
10. After a successful poot, Poot will show 3 option:
- Get Superuser = it will open Play Store straightly to Superuser by ChainsDD page. Install it to manage root access.
- Get Root Checker Basic = it will open Play Store to Root Checker Basic page. If you want to check root access using this app, download it.
- Built-in Root Checker = Instead of download Root Checker Basic, you can use this built in feature.
11. After Superuser installed, dont forget to update su binary file from it.
12. Its done!!! now you have a rooted Mini 2.
Note: I have tested original poot for LG Optimus Elite, Cherry W100, and PCD Venture without success. If your phone can not be rooted with poot for h866c, I advice you to try another versions.
The advantage of this method :
- This method of rooting will not increase your custom bin, because you dont need to flash CWM.
- You dont need a PC to root Jena.
Disadvantage :
- You need to install/download Superuser by ChainsDD + BusyBox manually. This exploit only push su file (Superuser's su file by ChainDD) to /system/xbin.
Note: If you want to flash CWM, we need to wait mobile Odin compatible with our device. Therefore, if you want CWM very badly...I suggest you to flash it using PC.
Credits:
- giantpune from androidforums.com, who made the exploit.
- me, who try and test this exploit on Jena all night long :crying:
PM me, if someone should be listed on Credits
Really nice, very god man. But Triangle Away is working for our phones so there's no problem regarding bin counter
Thanks man
Yup, triangle away worked as you said. But I never try it yet tho. I bought a new Jena 1month ago, and I dont want to loose my warranty.
Thats why I search another way to root safely, without worries
Maybe this tuts dedicated for someone like me, who didnt have a PC or notebook yet.
Well that's something new. Portable rooting where you're in a car without CWM?
In all seriousness, it's great to see great things show up for our Jena, like this and MIUI, and TWRP, and CM 10, and OC Kernels, and many other stuff.
It's you people who make this phone awesome.
I have a question, is the "su" binary the latest one?
Yup, we hope Jena community will grow up like mini I
No, it is not. We need to update it to the latest version, after Superuser installed.
Iam still figuring out how to migrate to CWM superuser tho. Its Open Source, and looks like better security.
BusyBox can be installed downloading Busybox installer from play store
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stericson.busybox
and maybe CWM can be installed with mobile odin (i don't know)
i am saying this because I am an admin of a spanish blog and many people ask us for a way to root and install CWM without PC,
Maybe I miss spelling something...
Or you dont understand what I mean
I mean superuser.apk by clockworkmod, or koush's superuser.
If I want CWM, I will not root using this method
Yup, thats busybox installer that I mean
I was only thinking in a way to install CWM for users that don't have PC. I am a admin of a Spanish blog and many people want it.
And in sOme other devices ROM MANAGER can install CWM. maybe it's possible with mobile Odin or rom manager, I guess
Rom Manager can brick the mini 2, because it's not compatible with mini 2 I think.

Finally, I didn't send it because I am using squadzone's kernel, so maybe it's different
But maybe it'll be useful to send one using CM10 (is more compatible)
I read somewhere that mobile Odin works on Ace Plus which has exactly the same partition layout as Mini 2. Also, since we don't need any specific file which contains the info about our partition layout (like ops file for some devices) while flashing something, it's pretty generic therefore mobile odin should work.

Finally, a confirmation from a genious person
Maybe yes sir, it should work for our device.
But chainfire's mobile odin wont let us use it, if our device is not compatible.
Maybe, just maybe, (I dont know how it work ) mobile odin read our build.prop and compare them to it's device compatibility database.
If those not match, it just showing black screen, and an intructions to dump a log, then close it self.
Hopes he/she make it worked for Mini2 someday

write private msg to chainfire mayby he do MO for Jena, but in OP chainfire i see many spam and hm 4 post from galaxy mini 2 users, this device is not popular and low range so chainfire do not even think about develop app to this phone. its my opinion...
well, yes, this is not popular. For reference, my latest CM10 build for Mini 1 is downloaded like 20k times. When I uploaded the first CM10 build in the first day it got 5k downloads. Mini 2 barely get 1k downloads in months. Mini 1 is quite popular, even after 2 years of its release. Perhaps it will change after camera is fixed.

COMPLETE GUIDE TO ROOTING SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 WITH 4G/LTE
CAUTION: YOUR WARRANTY WILL BE VOID AFTER YOU ROOT. HOWEVER, YOU CAN GAIN BACK YOUR WARRANTY BY FLASHING A STOCK ROM. (the Galaxy S3 LTE ROM, go to Samsung Updates website)
Quick and easy steps to root S3 4G:
Step 1: Download Odin (Can be v3.04 to v3.07). Download the CF-Auto-Root file. Extract the CF-Auto-Root (.tar.md5 file) onto your desktop.
Step 2: Open Odin zip by WinRAR/7zip/WinZip. Open Odin. Select PDA. Now choose the CF-Auto-Root file.
Step 3: Make sure your phone is in DOWNLOAD MODE. (Power OFF your phone if you haven't done so.
Press Volume Down + Home Button + Power Button. You will see a screen saying "Warning!". Just ignore what it says and PRESS THE Volume Up button.
Step 4: Now, connect the phone to your Windows computer/laptop. (Connect the USB cable to your phone first then to your computer.) Let it detect your phone. In the Message Box (located at the bottom left corner of Odin), you should see "Added!!" there. Now, click on START. Wait for like 5 seconds or so and you're done! The rectangular box (close to the top left of Odin) should say PASS! with a green background. In the message box, you should see "Removed!!" at the end. Disconnect your phone now. Your S3 4G should have a RED "Pirate" Android logo as your background.
Step 5: You should see at the bottom of this script "Rebooting in 10 sec...". Let it reboot. You're DONE! Your device is finally rooted!
(To check if your device is rooted, download Root Checker and verify if your S3 4G has root. You can now download apps like Titanium Backup.)

EMERGENCY! I can't boot my Samsung Galaxy SIII LTE (GT-I9305) after rooting it and installing ninphetamin overclocking software on the device, one file at a time. It just stays at the "Samsung GALAXY S III GT-I9305" logo forever and I noticed there is a small RED exclamation mark on the top-left corner of the boot screen.
Whats wrong with my phone.
I followed the steps in the links above and everything happened according to the steps, except the device is now stuck in downloading..... do not turn off target!!
Is there a resoliution or is the phone bricked?

Hi,
I'm using I9305ZHBMI4 version on my i9305, but after I did the process to enable the root, it did not works.
It is as if the root was not installed.
Do I have to use other version of CF-Auto-Root-m3-m3zh-gti9305 ?
Thanks
Please wait for Root Check to Complete. System appears to be running slow
Hi
I followed the steps above and all appeared to be good with ODIN returning the message PASS.
When I tested to see if SGS3 (I9305 or LTE) has been rooted using "Root Checker Basic" the phone "hangs" with the message below :
Code:
Please wait for Root Check to Complete. System appears to be running slow
Tried purchased titanium Backup and the app never loads beyond the message :
Code:
Asking for root rights
And similar issue in the below link

Shouldn't this dangerous advice be removed...
Thanks
Did it as instructed in first thread, done in <10 minutes, all great, thanks.

And You tripped a flag in Knox?
Yes, but as I bought a grey import phone Knox' & Samsung's opinion on warranty isn't a massive concern to me. the opinion of the importer matters a whole lot more.
If it turns into a physical defect then I'm sure they'll help (though I hope it never gets that far). Software wise I should be OK as I'm not going to mess with the rom now that I've got root.

It's actually been updated to work with the T-Mobile version now, as well. It worked perfectly on mine.
Can you confirm it works with tmobile h34510f software
Edit: have to have an account to download file
What about a recovery? Can't find anything that will load (twrp just errors on me)
Flashify+TWRP worked for me.
This works on all versions of tmobile and metropcs leons.
Maybe the international versions, you flash at your own risk if you try.
Rooting on tmobile will be a really bad idea if you actually need to have your phone charged. The tmobile diagnostics tool will constantly ask for root permissions and it's impossible to disable the tool without altering the 4 gig system image.

Com.tmobile.pr. some crap. It pops up asking for root permission on supersu.
That's the diagnostic tool.
Just got my T-Mobile Leon 2 weeks ago and finally decided to root it. I did the root where you downgrade to 10d and then root and I got the com.tmobile.pr.something that ninjasinabag was talking about. But then found this and updated to 10f and worked great. disabled the tmobile crap before they updated and all good. No errors and with root access. Thanks for posting this that was really bugging me.
Update: woke up this mornind to a log with com.tmobile.pr.adapt was requestin constantly for about half the night. Used titanium backup to uninstall. Lets see if that works.
I just bought the T-Mobile lg leon h345 TITAN from Wal-Mart it is on "Family Mobile". Its on lollipop 5.1.1 h34510f and i do not have a pc. So i have the root.zip but i can't flash it because I'm not rooted so how can i root it? The lg recovery only gives you a choice to factory reset it. So is there a one click root? Kingroot does not work and stumproot does not work. I need some help been on the internet searching for like three days down can't find s*** that works I'd appreciate the help thanks in advance
Root lg ms395 10f
Use kingroot. http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=15606 it might tell you device not supported but try again it worked for me than replace king user with super su using terminal emulator method https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6IgvVRt3ak kingroot is strange it said root failed but when i opened e file explorer and clicked root explorer i found i was indeed rooted if you have any issue get back to me i can walk you through it

I too just purchased a B1-850 tablet, but I've figured out how to root it. Really quite simple. Just use Kingroot:
1.) Navigate to https://kingroot.net/ from your tablet
2.) Download the APK for android
3.) Install said APK (this requires you to have allowed installation from unkown sources in the "Security" panel of the settings menu)
4.) Load up the app and follow its instructions
5.) Reboot and try it out
For good measure, I would also unlock the "Developer Options" panel and allow USB debugging (adb access) and such; I did this before proceeding. You'll have to search for instructions on that yourself, its well documented.
This all worked for me this morning! Really looking forward to unlocking the potential of this cheapy tablet.
Kingroot worked first try, just swap their super user program with supersu. I am having trouble installing the xposed framework though if anyone has any tips.
I was able to root, now I need to install a custom recovery. CWM says this model is not in the supported list. Has anyone been able to install a recovery? I need NANDROID backup functionality.
I made a thread walking you through how to do it on this tablet in the guides area but just use flash fire for recovery and xposed install
Did the B1-850 hardware updated in anyway? I was able to root it in June 2016, but after a screen repair and factory reset and fresh rom from acer, king root and all others can't work. I'm stuck without any root options. Any idea?

There was recently new firmware released for this tablet (08/24/16, Build #: AV0L0.RV09RC04.WW.GEN1), and a handful of updates (08/25/16, 08/26/16) from Acer. I have this same tablet, and I'm unable to root after flashing to the firmware released on the 24th, and latest firmware (Build #: AV0L0.RV0BRC02.WW.GEN1) as well. Hopefully someone can find a fix, as the few different methods I've attempted simply will not work with the latest firmware from Acer.
On KingRoot Please click submit search if enough people do they will find a root until then just hold tight.

I have done this a bunch, sadly still no love. It's annoying me not being able to root a relatively cheaper tablet, as these tend to get rooted first since they get in more people's hands faster. Oh well, just have to have patience.
Thanks, I was having problems, two different rooters failed and I wondered if it was the recent software update! The image version on my B1-850 is the same as you have quoted! Please post if you find a solution, some apps that need deleting are annoying.

I made a thread walking you through how to do it on this tablet in the guides area but just use flash fire for recovery and xposed install

Which recovery do you install with flash fire; I don't see a link to it in your other thread?
Success!
The latest release of KingRoot is able to root the latest firmware for this tablet. I saw there was a new release of KingRoot back on the 23rd, and it's working as it should. I grabbed the working version here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=21707
hi guys. any idea how to recover b1-850 from bootloop?
I no its a little late but i rooted mine with the kingoroot one click root apk. Ive installed xposed framework and customized like crazy everything from fonts to boot animation. Cant find a custom recovery tho.
I cannot root it with any of the tools I have tried (Kingo ROOT, KingRoot, etc). Anyone know any method that works?
Acer B1-850. Is this device even rootable?
This device has made an idiot of me. If I can be of any assistance finding a root exploit for this device let me know. I will gladly write a detailed procedure of the process. I made the mistake of assuming since it was an entry level, inexpensive device, the path to root would be simple. Three months later none of the common "one-click" programs has found an exploit. I have a copy of stock rom for recovery so testing is not a problem for me. It's a matter of pride at this point. So much so I found one on sale for $60 and bought it just for this purpose. I have followed every link I can find associated with this device to a dead end. Any help will be appreciated.

Same here, still no root for me. Usually these cheapo tablets are not as locked down.
Still waiting!?
I have given up getting assistance from xda on this device. Its as political here as anywhere else. I don't drive a Samsung so nobody wants to help with root. I've heard every excuse from locked bootloader (unlockable in dev options) to what one dev actually told me,"There's little interest in spending energy on an inexpensive device." I understand, but why misrepresent the site by implying all android devices are treated the same? Hell on the Iconia One 8 thread, it says that the B1-850 does not have a MTK SoC, but instead has an Intel Atom chip. Then they send you to another thread where, of course, there is no B1-850 listed! That's because it uses a MTK8163 SoC. In both tablets.

I want to root my AT&T Note 3 N900AUCUEOC2 Lollipop 5.0

Hello
i know there are many threads about rooting, i have been looking around the web for a few hours, you could say i am a noob when it comes to rooting. I have found many methods of rooting, some are lengthy and require the user to copy the files manually and some offer 1-click apps that do the root. In the end, i got confused and couldn't make up my mind. which is why i want to ask about my specific device, i have an AT&T Galaxy Note 3 N900AUCUEOC2 running Lollipop 5.0 (i updated from 4.4.2 ), the phone is not unlocked, it is still as it is since i bought it.
what is the best way for me to root? i have tried Towelroot, but it said my device is not supported, even though i have seen people on here with the same exact device claiming that it has worked for them. if you can give me instructions or provide me with a guide that can work with my phone i would appreciate it, i am really concerned about bricking it.

Sure I just went through this.
There is really only one way to do this. After you're higher than nc2
I believe you can find all links in this link (I did make sure read the first few posts because links are scattered)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51572044
1: download Odin on pc
2: download nc2 Odin files (I used the all in one file)
3: install Samsung driver on your pc
4: reboot phone into Odin mode
5: plug phone into PC
6: install Odin nc2 files according to the image shown in above link
7: reboot phone into Samsung recovery
8: full factory reset
9: boot phone and install and towel root
10: install busybox
11: install safestrap
12: reboot into safestrap
13: install prerooted oc1 very easy ROM or any other ROM of your choice.
(I tried a few and decided on prerooted oc1)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=59666958
14: if on stock rooted oc1 now install app quarantine
15: in app quarantine block all Knox and att updater.
16: profit.

Thank you so much that was very helpful, one more question if you don't mind. Since I have to do a factory reset I have to back up my phone. I have also been looking around for apps or pc software that can preform a full back up, but for the apps they require you to be rooted, if not then they don't do a full back up. I was wondering if I'm missing something, I have never done a full back up, I was wondering if there is a away to do a back up that can save pretty much all your apps, data and app data, in such a way that when you restore the back up your phone comes back exactly to where it was. I haven't done that before so I'm not sure if a back up can actually do that, let's say I restore the back up, are all my apps gonna be there or do I have to install all of them again? That's my main concern, I'm not worried much about videos/pictures/contacts etc because I know those can easily be backed up. I would appreciate if you can give me feedback about this, especially about the apps and their data. If you can suggest back up apps (preferably ones that you let you back up on PC) that would be much appreciated.
I don't know of a way to do this. Sorry.

Ok i have figured out a way to do it, i have been reading through the links you have sent, honestly i am very confused, you said you have OC2 and have done that already? in the links you provided i got lost because i wasn't sure whether some steps where required or just additional, i saw some steps that included wiping the SD card. the steps that YOU wrote seemed simple enough, i will start the rooting process tomorrow. i just have one favor to ask, if i decided to root can i still contact you if i encountered a problem or had a question? i just wanna make sure i can find help if anything happens. I am quite paranoid about it lol

Cool thank you so much man !
Sorry to add to your thread, I previously rooted this phone back in 2015 but since then jumped to many other phones without root and got out of the game. I need a refresher. In your notes above when you go to that link, there are a bunch of new files, can you provide some clarity for me?
1-Most say on 5.0 NC2 you have to use all 4 ODIN files not the all in one, can you confirm?
