Face palm man. You need an unlocked bootloader for that rom says so in the info so you clearly didn't follow directions like you said to such as using cwm not safestrap. This is why we must read before acting hastily. You may be able to use rsd to flash stock but don't count on it.

i actually have the same problem. My phone is unlocked before already, but the problem is i cant get in to any bootloader or fastboot or anything. I can only tell the phone is on when i plug to computer and rsdlite sees the device, but fails to flash anything because it is not in the fastboot mode...
do you know how i can figure this out?

Yeah i unlocked the bootloader before. so it seems like useless for my case. Plus i cant even boot into fastboot mode, how am i gonna install it lol
And as I said before; the problem is i cant get in to any bootloader or fastboot or anything. I can only tell the phone is on when i plug to computer and rsdlite sees the device, but fails to flash anything because it is not in the fastboot mode.
I tried both methods but they both fail where the phone need to be in fastboot mode, which is apparently not happening...

Damn, seems like those are the only two methods that could work.
The good thing is that you can't re-lock the bootloader.
You might want to send a PM to skeevy to see if he can help.
Is there any warranty left on your phone? I've seen posts where people were able to go back to AT&T to exchange the phone or send it in for repair.

How have you tried to get into fastboot? Try turning your phone off, hold both volume buttons and press the power button a few times then use volume down to scroll to "ap fastboot" and use volume up to select.

When you plug in the phone to charge do you see at least the boot logo?

may need to connect pins 1 & 4 together in micro usb charger port to phone within the plug itself and it will charge.

I feel like it's causing more problems than it's solving with new people that try to flash their phones, they see light at the end of the tunnel and assume it's the exit, when in fact it's a dadgum train.

I research on that i guess fasboot cable is connecting the pins 1 & 4 together in micro usb cable. I tried that too, however result is the same.
doesnt work.
That was my last hope (fastboot cable), so i even try other combinations connecting different pins together, but it didnt work too )))
I have a beautiful brick as you guys can understand.
I am thinking to order a broken lcd atrix hd online and replace the boards right now. Do you guys think it is logical?
or like replacing the storage with a used one.
I dont know what else to do, out of ideas

I am aware I haven't replied in a while, my atrix had a hardware issue, but I got a nexus 10!! Anyways, when plugging the phone in does the LED light up green?

Hm sounds like a hardware issue, check the pins in the phones micro USB port if other cables don't make a the LED turn green while the phone is off.

When you format them, format them to FAT32 because if you use NTFS it wont show. but you will need to unlock your bootloader check out Hansoon's AIO for the Vivid it's in the Development Thread. use that it will walk you through step-by-step then you need to chose a ROM you want and if your S-ON get the boot.img and via fastboot in cmd type fastboot flash boot boot.img whereever you have it placed at and then flash the ROM if your S-OFF then just flash the ROM in recovery if you dont know what S-OFF/ON is just flash the boot.img

[Q] Remote: not allowed when trying to flash TWRP/CWM

My bootloader is unlocked already, I deleted HTC Sync, debugging on, usb is in disk mode, etc. but for the life of me I can't get any recoveries to flash. I get the "Remote: not allowed" and if I try again it just gets stuck on sending recovery. It shows up as a fastboot device in cmd. Any suggestions?
Try the tool kit in development.

Yes, I am in fastbootusb. The same thing happens on the toolkit. I doubt it is any kind of hardware defect, but the device is recognized in fastboot which is why I am SUPER confused. This is the first time I have ever run into an issue with fastboot.

I initially had a bad download and had issues with both ways to flash. Redownloaded and it worked.
Also, with the tool I've had issues with usb switching from storage to media which affected even using adb to push files. Make sure that's not an issue with the push method.

Are you implying the fastboot download was bad or the recovery? I tried three different recoveries now and none worked. I also tried using hassoon2000s method and just get an error saying device not found.
Also, I am using the fastboot file that came directly from HTC so I am really scratching my head right now...

Sorry if I sounded mean or anything I was literally just asking which one you meant lol. I now realize "are you implying" does sound kinda snarky. Anyway, it must have been something with my computer because I did it on another computer and got it to work.
So the thread doesn't go to waste, if anyone is having issues try on another computer.
Okay, now trying to flash the stock recovery to get the phone exchanged for radio issues, I am running into the same problem. I tried both computers now. Hopefully I figure it out soon, had to activate an old blackberry for the time being.
"sending 'recovery' (16472 KB)...
FAILED (remote: not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.007s"
I have had the same problem before on a different phone. All you need to do is put it on the sd card and use the boot loader method. The phone will automatically find it and flash it. Then just remove sd card and delete file so it doesn't keep prompting to flash it every time you reboot.

Try this:
First, unplug the USB from the phone. Now, turn the phone off.
Next, Hold the VOL DOWN button, and turn the phone back on. You should boot into bootloader mode. The screen should say "AP Fastboot Mode".
NOW, plug the USB cord into your computer. It will probably "search for drivers" and then recognize the phone.
Let us know if this helps...

OK, are you able to use fastboot commands at all? You must have flashed custom recovery at some point if you are able to "flash roms"...
There are some reports where people for whatever reason were unable to use RSD Lite, but the manual restore method worked fine for them.
Assuming that you are able to use fastboot, follow the instructions in this thread (Under MANUAL METHOD):

No, it is not possible. This would be a massive security issue, as it would defeat the entire purpose of having that setting in the phone, since it would allow full access to your phone without logging into the OS.
Pro-tip: You should really leave that setting turned off until you actually need it, because otherwise anyone can plug in a USB cable and get full access to send fastboot commands to your device (including bypassing lock screens).

I think this is like a hard brick, but worse. I think its a dead device and at minimum needs its motherboard replaced with a new/used one that has a working ROM on it.

Downgrade android 9

So ive upgraded to 9 but I dont like it... volume menus changed, wifi keeps dropping out (even after disabling auto turn on) etc. and I was very happy with 8.
I've been following the instructions from the Razor site to downgrade but whenever i run a fastboot command from the bootloader it just changes to the "powered by android" screen with a tiny "Press any key to shutdown" at the top.
Has anyone been able to do this successfully?
I've used fastboot and ADB a lot in the past so no idea why its doing this.
Take the Oreo .zip, unzip it, boot into bootloader, open up a Command Line/Terminal (depending on your OS), cd to the unzipped Oreo folder, type in fastboot flash-all, wait for that to end, then reboot into bootloader again and fastboot flash both boot and system (it should automatically flash it into the assigned partition)
I did this in order to update to MR1
downgrade issues
not what was being asked.
you need to use a 3rd party usbA to usbC cable (stock cable doesnt play well)
once thats done, test its connected using 'fastboot devices' you should see the serial number of your phone.
then run the flash_all command (remember to unlock bootloader and critical partition beforehand)
minimal adb and fastboot installer PLUS android bootloader interface driver is required if not installed already.
good luck
I just bought 4 micro USB to type c usb adapters from Walmart's website for 7 dollars. I can use all of my previous cables from my old phones. I haven't had one issue with them and my old fast charger from my Nexus 6 works and charges the phone rapidly. It's kinda clunky but beats spending 30 bucks on 1 cable.
It was a long night and I was on my 5th beer when I typed all that up!
My USB-C cable from OnePlus works fine with this phone on my laptop
I'll give it a go, but I'm already using a 3rd party usb3 to typeC... I could try with the stock USBC cable as my desktop has one?
The phone is receiving the command from the PC because no matter what fastboot comment I type the second I hit enter it goes to this same screen.
ABD commands work perfectly though, just fastboot has this issue.
Can't wait for TWRP.

I believe TWRP has already been released. Check the new kernel thread in the Development section. He states that by flashing his kernel, TWRP is also installed along side it. I haven't tested myself yet though.

Finally it works!I tried handurds of times, every time I enter flash unlock critical the phone will show up that tiny message on the top left press any key to shut down.I was thinking about selling this phone, then I changed the USB a-c cable and tried with a different USB port, and suddenly it worked!
I flashed the latest stock firmware and the new customised kernel, now it works great! The battery draining is normal I only need to charge it once a day

What did you do differently? I still get the same little text at the top which says press any key to shutdown after any fastboot command. Please help me because I'm so frustrated with this issue.

I just use a different cable and a different USB port , which I did all this before and it didn't work, but I don't know why it worked this time.
I just use the command" xxx\fastboot flash unlock_critical"(hope I memories this right, better find it on the Razer website),the same command with the Razer phone 1 which is posted on Razer official website .You have to unlock the bootloader first just like the Razer phone 1, the only difference is you don't need to unlock the bootloader by typing unlock bootloader on the pc ,you can just operate on the phone to unlock bootloader by pressing the "unlock the bootloader "in the bootloader interface.
When you use the command to unlock the critical ,it might let you to select yes on the phone's bootloader interface ,you can also see it on the CMD of you pc,it say something like xxx success, and if you run the command again it will say something like " unlock failed (already unlocked)"
Then you can try with flashing the stock firmware to see if you unlock the critical successfully,if you can flash the stock firmware then you can use any fast boot command on this phone .I installed the costume kernel right after I flashed the stock firmware.it works like charm.:fingers-crossed:
now the phone never get over heating again and the battery can last a whole day under my havey use.

Maybe you can also try to install the right bootloader driver which can be found on Razer website ,just check the official tutorial about flashing the stock firmware for Razer phone 1.
The bootloader driver is different from the adb diver.Better do everything exactly the same as it says in that tutorial step by step.

Edit: my phone didn't load newer posts
For everyone else, I was able to do this at work yesterday and I'm back on 8 and loving it.
Edit 2: it was either the different cable (same one as at home just lives at work) or the laptop did something different.

Hey mate, for me I think the issue was that first I installed the fastboot drivers on my desktop then when I changed her it to the bootloader driver it didn't take correctly.
I'll clear out my driver cache on the PC and try the correct driver and see if it fixs the issue there.

Just follow this instruction to install the driver .

If you can install the stock firmware you should be able in use any fast boot command

Good for you!
I'm suggesting everyone to unlock the bootloader and the critical first before start to use it.My last RP2 can't start up ,it will freeze on the starting screen as I didn't do anything before using it,I can't do anything with it as the locked bootloader.Lucky for me,I returned it and then I bought a new one .I love this hardware but Razer's software team should be fired !Just hire someone from xda should work perfectly:laugh:
