[Q] Problem with AOSPizza - Motorola Atrix HD

Sorry, I'm new here cannot post in the development. Can anyone help me to move or copy this post to (V1.1 up!!!) [ROM] [AOSP] AOSPizza
Thanks!
I tried this ROM yesterday. Nice ROM. Thanks, Android Pizza!
But I got a problem. I use Nova Launcher with this ROM. I set it as the default. But when I read a new email than use "back" button, it will go to the regular android 4.2 launcher. How can I change it to the Nova Launcher? Thanks!

Settings > Apps > All > Launcher > Clear defaults. Then press home, and it should ask you what launcher you want to use.

Here is the problem. The "clear defaults" button cannot be used!

I have that issue with stock ROM and nova as well.I don't think you can do much about it.

Try installing another launcher. (Don't uninstall Nova, though.) Then press home again.

How to sort App Drawer Icons Alphabetically ?

Rather than arranging them 1 by 1. is there a way to arrange the icons alphabetically automatically? I am using the default launcher.....
Download "sort apps" from the market. Its designed for touchwiz and works great on the tab for what you want.

I'd switch to an alternate launcher like Zeam. Sorts automatically and is amazing on a tablet.

Oh god, so awesome. Didn't even know that existed. That was the last thing driving me crazy about TouchWiz.
Have you tried Launcher Pro? Alphabetical sorting, app hiding, etc.

You might not like this method because it also causes all your widgets to disappear from from the home screen & maybe even reset your desktop settings but you can go to
Settings > Applications > TwLauncher > Clear data
The launcher should sort all installed apps alphabetically
The appsorter is what I need, thank you.

Does Apex Launcher indeed have a DOCK?

Just what the title says...
I'm loving Apex Launcher for the Xoom (I'm on Team EOS nightly Wi fi)....
And I see that its new feature is its "customizable dock"....but I can't find the option anywhere??
Any help? thanks alot!
In tablet mode it automatically disables the dock.

I use Nova on my phone, never used Apex. I'll have to check it out.
One big thing for me would be adw theme support. Does Apex support those?
Yea I don't understand y there is nova or apex with scrobbable dock like adw.

I'm using Apex Launcher (pro) on my xoom as well and I do have an option to enable the dock. Just go to the settings menu and scroll down and uncheck hide dock. The dock should be there.

with a tablet I don't use the dock now, I just use it as it is,
Dock works fine on my eos nightly. Just enable it in settings!

Nova dock works on the Xoom fine. I don't use, but I checked it out. I do use it on my phone though.
Apex and Nova are basically mirrors of each other from what I have used of both of them. I prefer Nova basically because I bought the license so even though I like Apex, I stay with the Nova.

Grid settings
I've found this happens if I set my grid size to 7 x 7. If you have it set to this, try bumping it down to 6 x 6 and see if the labels come back (they do for me).

ADW updated!!!!

Just what the title says. IMO its smoother then Apex and Nova. I really haven't had time to play with it but so far so good. Wish this update was available when I was stuck on HC.

I use GO EX, on my SGS3 and Pad 7.7, perfect :good:
We had to wait a long long time for getting an update.....
But at least it was worth the waiting.
Had to fix screen size and some other settings after new update. It was a pain, don't really notice anything new while running on stock ICS

After playing with it a bit I stuck with Apex. I think this is a bigger draw to HC and GB devices.

Was quite happy using adw ex launcher. There is a bug though. When u add a folder on the home screen, initially you could edit the folder to change the icon or rename the folder. It doesn't work anymore. Any idea people.

No longer able to use the launcher actions along with minimalist text, I used this set up to switch between screens. Have emailed the dev and still waiting on an answer.

THIS. Been using Go Ex Launcher for several years on many different Android devices & it's been amazing, very customizable & easy to use.
After trying EVERY other launcher including paid ones, none come close to Go EX...

[Q] Hiding softkeys

Sorry folks if it has been asked before but I want to hide the nav bar aka softkeys on my atrix hd mb866...
I tried this app from playstore :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.hidesoftkeys&hl=en
but it's irritating at some times p.s it doesn't allow to go back in many situations , like if you're seeing a picture in fullscreen using quicpic...
I'm on stock JB rom and rooted..
Regards...
It's already been discussed multiple times but go to the build prop and find one labeled main keys and change it from a 1 to a 0.

The line is "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1" and you'll need to manually add it, it's not in there by default. I would also recommend LMT Launcher (pie controls for any ROM) or PACman ROM.
LMT Launcher but I'm using Nova Launcher. Will they both work altogether and in carbon nightly rom is this option already set ?
Lmt launcher is just so you can have buttons. It's not a launcher like nova.

I believe carbon and PAC already have pie controls and the ability to hide the navbar in expanded desktop mode.
