Yeah, I kinda prefer cwm out of personal preference. Thanks though. I'll try to build a touch version, what's the worst that could happen

Silly question: If I'm currently using TWRP and I switch to CWM will my phone implode? Better still, will my recoveries from TWRP work on CWM with no issues? Seems like a zip is a zip ... But, I have to ask.

Are the backups compatible? No.
The best way to use them both is to have the flash versions of both (zip not img ) and flash the other "under" the one that you are using .
Then the next recovery will be the one just flashed .
I am trying to find the zip-flashable version on the web but it is only the fastboot version compressed . I do have the twrp.zip. So I can then "dual boot recoveries .

OP makes no sense how to flash.

[ROM] [RECOVERY] CWM Flashable Stock ROMs / Recovery [JOP40C] (11/21/12)

Stock CWM Packages for Nexus 4
I have created some stock ROMs and recoveries that are flashable through Clockworkmod or TWRP. These are taken straight from the Google factory image releases and packaged to be flashed. It can be useful if you want to go back to stock, but you don't have access to a computer at the moment for fastboot. Also, devs feel free to use this as your ROM base. Enjoy
Please note that I don't have my Nexus 4 yet, so please report any issues you may have and I will fix them immediately. Thanks.

3. Assuming you already have a custom recovery already installed, reboot to recovery and flash.

Just Google it. I'm sorry, but you are probably not going to get a full answer for all this on XDA, and the more short answers you get the more questions you'll have. Do the research before you root your phone, it will prevent headaches, for you and everyone else.
Thank you so much for the stock recovery and stock ROM, this is exactly what I was looking for.
I am just curious, each time there is an update to the OS via Google, do you also plan on making a flashable zip version of the update as well. For example when 4.2.1 is released? Peace.

The new touch cwm works real good and I run PACMAN.
Sent from my PACMAN MATRIX HD MAXX
My current favourite is HoloBlur with PurePerformance. The battery life is quite good, it's fast, and stable.
I run CWM touch recovery.
For ROMs: HoloBlur X (PurePerformance) is a beatiful stock based ROM to get your feet wet.
CM 10.2 and BeanStalk 4.3 are the 2 best custom ROMs I have ever had the pleasure of using. Carbon is great but the battery life just isn't up to par with BeanStalk or CM for me, plus since Carbon jumped ship to 4.3, a lot of features don't work like Trebuchet settings and PIE. PACman 4.3 is awesome but I would wait for a new nightly from Skeevy that reports better battery. As it is now, it is too laggy and unstable to use everyday (for me at least). Don't even mess with Uxylon or SLIM, play store and mobile data are broken on those.
If you don't mind freezes/crashes once in a while, you could run CM10.2 nightlies and automatically update them using Cyandelta. If you want to go CM nightlies, use CWM 3.0.3.4 (in the last 2-3 pages of the 3.0.3.2 thread) but if you're going to use PAC or Holoblur, you can use CWM 3.0.3.6 touch.
