for revert back to stock value Replace the file called "snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3" inside system -> etc -> snd_soc_msm with the original one of the rom you have (if you have just applied the mod for to get the original file re-download the rom and take the file from it ) :good:

Do that and say goodbye to booting rom...
The file is the main configuration file for audio. Mixing with different phones means you have wrong configuration which will cause your devices to not boot.
Any files in snd_soc_msm cannot be universal due to everyone having different hardware and software.

Yes it will because we have very similar hardware and software, our snd_soc_msm files are the same.

There isn't much point; if you haven't already noticed, I've been boosting the volume since v5.0 of my mod lol and still going.
There won't be much difference if you have PXA installed already.
I have test it and for me is the ext. Speaker to loud.
The Sound is to heavy and not nice.
With the Headphones is it ok.
I will see to make a mod only for Headphones.
@ ZeroInfinity.......did have see a bug in my Lockscreen?

For aosp rom all volume are perfect..
If you don't like the sound you can put down the volume and use the equalizer..

I am on stock rom.
I could only say what i can hear.
And that is that the musik is to loud on ext. Speaker.
When i go to 80% of the loudness, the speaker vibrates.
When i go to 100% my ZL vibrates

It will increase your volume level counts!
Since I saw some people are complaining about android's volume control is jumping to large amount,
I decided to search for it.
And after spending several days for searching files under framework.jar, I found it.
(Yeah, it would be easy for someone but I'm noob to android and code things )
I changed the media volume level counts to 30. (Android stock is 15)
Since the code is located in framework.jar, it needs several tools to modify.
I'm attaching several rom's framework.jar so you can pick your own.
How to install:
※Make sure you have your rom file in sdcard for in case of bootloop.
1. Download the file that matching with your rom.
2. Change the name of downloaded file to framework.jar
2. Replace the framework.jar located in /system/framework/ with downloaded file.
(You can use root explorer or adb pushing or making your own cwm script)
3. Set the permission to rw-r--r-- or like this:

Lol I feel your pain. That was me once but now I learned to include backup with every reboot(lol, not that many but close to)

Well thank you again for finding this. Very, very useful mod.
This is nice. Just recently I was mad at the fact that one volume seemed too high, and when I would turn it down one notch it was too low! This should help I would think?
I know this isn't what this mod does, but since you mention it in the first post, does anyone know if it's POSSIBLE to increase the max volume on this phone? I find it to be very quiet... not sure if it's my ears, but other phones/devices have seemed fine using the same headphones across the board.

Quiet? I found the volume to be quite load and crisp. One of the best sound quality I have ever experienced on a phone and this mod makes it better!

before i flash this, I want to know how to change the audio from one lib to the other? like from dolby to SRS wow to Beats. Is the option like the third button in the media app where we can switch equalizers?
I'd have flashed it and tested it out, but you haven't got a undo changes flash zip. maybe you want to consider making one?

Ah that's all right, i'll just backup the libs myself then push them through again if i dont like the sound. But when I tried flashing it gave me a build.prop error...

just install, uninstall is unnecessary..

it's a realy awesome mod and although i'm running supressed v5 now i'm probably going back to Zeus when he used v20Q as base.
It doesn't work with DIANXOS port. I just gets stuck in boot
perhaps it is a port of Nexus... (?)

auch, it's weird cuz i flashed it over cici rom and it works perfectly it's also based on CM and has huexx kernel.
Maybe just copy the libs and bin files manually?

On Zeus 6.28, when I install, it show:

Throw away Cwm touuch and install touchless version.

Working on both the single sim and the dual sim variants.
Requirements:
1. Root
2. X-plore or any other file manager with root access
Procedure:
1. Extract and replace "mixer_paths.xml" in root/system/etc
2. Change the permissions to rw-r--r--
3. Restart your mobile
Mod Includes:
1. Internal speaker volume boost.
2. Headphones boost.
3. Stereo sound in speaker mode during a voice call.
Note:
I won't be responsible if anything goes wrong.
I'm also providing the stock xml file if you want to revert back to the original settings.

Try Soundmod MM 224, it should work but in case it doesn't please backup your original mixer_paths.xml file.

i had it to but this one is diferent... is not a line in build.prop only, SWS from stock rom is diferent from this one.

You are using emui 4.1 Kernel source and you want to build it and install it for emui 4 right? If yes that probably won't work.

I flashed it and i haven't found anything in Sound Settings, then i searched in build prop and got nothing. Flashed 3 times, and nothing. I wrote those 3 lines and now it works. Thank you!

Ok, with headphones there is difference and also with native music app in speaker. I use the app Pulsar+ for music which has its own equalizer and here is where i do not notice sound difference with speaker. I recommend this app because increase significatively speaker sound quality. Anyway thanks a lot!

I did it on the Nexus 5x, but as you can imagine nothing is the same on this phone lol.

Awesome! But can i boost a little more the headphone volume? I know that i can edit some values in mixer paths file but i dont know which one, also there's 3 different mixer paths files so can you help me? I'm kinda deaf and my earphones aren't so powerful plus Sony devices had never been too powerful in audio volume since ever, usually i would use sound control through custom kernel but there's no one for the XZ2 :silly:
Yes we seriously need some overall sound fix on this phone.
Call volume on speaker is earraping loud its just so loud and the slider doesnt affect the volume at all.
Call volume on headphones are too quiet.
Overall media volume on headphones are too quiet even at max it doesn't satisfy, quality is fine but the volume isnt just right.
V2.0.0 is coming next week with increased bluetooth and headset

Sorry, I think I'm a little bit boring with my question but by XZ2 is rooted, under Pie (52.0.A.8.83) with the camerafix and almost everything working perfectly (the sound is sh** since the update).
But for this "stereo fix", how I intall it ? With flashtool or newflasher ? Do I need to reinstall twrp or something ?
Again, I'm sorry for my bumbass questions...
