If he compiled it himself, then I imagine it would be quite the same. I used the latest HD kernel but the difference would be minimal.

I did try this to see if it fixed the one problem I've noted with hashcode's binary: the clock is wrong. No difference.

okay soo smashed my razr xt912..upgraded and got the HD926 rooted....unlocked bootloader.... now i power the phone off and hold down volume up,down and power. It takes me to APFast Boot. Where do I go from there? Do i select recovery? where do i put the code in that this says to use to install the recovery? total noob when it comes to HD stuff. does the recovery file have to be on the phone? do I use RSDLite? Help!! lol

put phone in fastboot, and use the commands that OP has posted in the first post...

in ap fastboot...use commands in a terminal/command prompt as root/admin with the phone plugged into usb...
or just "adb reboot bootloader" followed by "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img"...does the same thing

Thats not fastboot that's the bootloader menu. Fastboot is run on your computer.

okay sooooo downloaded the Android SDK with adb and fastboot and all that...installed it.. followed the instructions in at the beginning of the thread.. it says it was successful..but I don't see any kind of difference.. there is no recovery option when i reboot the phone..it brings up the message about the bootloader being unlocked and then boots right to the OS. Now what am I doing wrong LOL
edit: there was also a line that shows up right after I hit enter
[bootloader] variable not supported. or something similar to that...

Variable error is normal since you are using Android fastboot instead of Motorola fastboot, but it will still work.
Go into the Boot Menu and select Recovery.
Or
When booted normally
Code:
adb reboot recovery

[Recovery] CWM Recovery v6.0.2.8 for XT925 and XT926 (**UPDATED**2013-02-19)

I want to say hello to the Razr HD community. For those who don't know my work, I develop the JellyBean rom for the Atrix. Today I built this recovery for Razr HD.
Disclaimer:
I'm not responsible by phone bricks of any kind, or any other damage this recovery may cause to you, to your phone or any accessories conected to your phone.
Click to collapse
THIS RECOVERY SHOULD BE USED ONLY ON RAZRHD WITH A UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER
Maybe you want to be sure this recovery will work and will not damage your phone. I suggest all installing this to make some tests with /cache partition: copy some file to /cache, execute a backup from recovery, format it and execute an advanced restore through recovery.
Download link:
hhttp://goo.im/devs/epinter/cwmrecovery6028-xt925_20130219-epinter.img
The recovery should be flashed though fastboot:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery cwmrecovery6028-xt925_20130219-epinter.img
Hope this helps everyone with a unlocked XT925.
Thank you for this fast implementation of CWM to the RAZR HD!!
Really want to see Jelly Bean running buttery smooth on this device...

I can't tell you it will work on XT926, I only have a XT925 to test. As far as I know, basically, the difference between XT925 and XT926 is the unlockable bootloader the XT925 has. If you have a XT926 with a unlocked bootloader, do a good research and ask other people too. I can help you with information about my work.
Its only unlocked because it is the developer edition... I will look/ask around. Thanks.

This recovery backup and restores the boot partition (kernel). The best way to use a recovery with a locked bootloader is the safestrap or 2nd init.
As far as I know, the recovery partition can't be flashed on a motorola with locked bootloader (normally the recovery partition is locked too), I think the RazrHD works this way too.

Nice, it boots up fine. Only question I got is does it back up to internal or external? By space available. It looks like internal, yes?
Right now it's just internal. I'm gonna see about getting external going in a few days. Just want to make sure I'm mounting it in the right spot in the BoardConfig.mk for TWRP.
Glad you like it
This works on P3110?

[UNLOCKED Bootloaders!!!] Dump a Bell Unlocked/Dev edition [cid & utags]

IT WILL ONLY TAKE 2 MINUTES OR LESS!!!
In order to unlock this dag on bootloader (for everybody), we need the Dev editions / Bell unlocked help.
If you have an Atrix HD Developer Edition OR A BELLE UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER (recommended), then please do the following in adb shell:
Code:
su
dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/cid of=/sdcard/cid.bin
dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/utags of=/sdcard/utags.bin
And on your machine:
Code:
adb pull /sdcard/cid.bin
adb pull /sdcard/utags.bin
And attach cid.bin and utags.bin in a PM.
Thanks in advanced,
TCF38012
NOTE:
If you have a userdebug or a engineer device, then you can ignore this thread. Your cid is filled with 0xff and nothing helpful to us .
Thank you

I was told by a tester flashing roms and backing them up worked fine. I am always open to more feedback though.

Yep, you're right. I'm having computer problems at the moment so this promises to be a lot more difficult than it should be. I've got a good download, and my device is recognized but I keep getting errors. I'll try again tomorrow. Edit. Got it figured out. Had to move the file into a system folder instead of my desktop. I didn't have to do that any other time. Strange.

I'm assuming that no one has had issues using this with recoveries made with an earlier version (2.3.2.3) of TWRP?

I made a new backup when I installed the new recovery just to be safe.

Do you know how to use fastboot?
Just get fastboot. (either from one of these toolkits or whatever , or from the android SDK)
Put the recovery file that u will download from here in the same folder that fastboot.exe is in
hold shift, right click anywhere in that folder (blank spot, not on the file) and click open command prompt. copy paste that command from Original post on there and hit enter....
Your phone has to be in fastboot mode obviously for this to work

[recovery] cwm 6.0.5.1 jbbl

This is the latest CWM available for our bootloader.
CWM 6.0.5.1
-Swipeable menu/volume+power button navigation
I take no credit in the actual CWM build. As we all are aware, PT has reached EOL until further notice (whenever someone picks up the project). Instead sitting around on an older revision of CWM, I decided to go track down an update that is compatible with our BL.
Fastboot and CWM zip available. Usual warnings about flashing non Moto updates/software applies.
30 Sep 14
-Original release
1 Nov 14
- Resync with CM

Thanks for pointing that out. I just changed the 1st post. Both are 6.0.5.1, but the 1 Nov release contains all commits added since the 30 Sep release (I've been watching the nightlies changelog for all changes and I figured an update was needed)
Thanks! Flashed!
How'd it go Kris? Stable....point touches on point?

It is stable, as my 1st post says it is straight from the nightlies, just in its own flashable zip and its own *.img. Screen touches are acrually swipes on this, swipes up/down/left/right still work.

EDIT: misread your question: sorry:
yes - by downloading it and using something like flashify or going to recovery and flashing the zip.
(I flashed the zip just yesterday.)
or you could change that setting in CM developer and reboot a few times.
So I can ho into dev settings and click update cm recovery and it'll work that way?that's pretty cool. What about validus? I noticed same thing there as well.

I want to switch my data (and /sdcard/sd-ext) to f2fs. I don't see a mkfs.f2fs binary in here, or options in the GUI. How do I do it?
Also:
~ # mke2fs -T f2fs /dev/block/mmcblk0p38
Warning: the fs_type f2fs is not defined in mke2fs.conf

Submit question to Cyanogenmod since this is their recovery, i'm just pushing this out there to ppl who want to have an up to date cwm and to those who were on philztouch before jbbl got left behind/pt project stopped.

Yea. From what I understand with this post, we could check that and reboot. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=56583275
