[Q] [HELP] Lockscreen does not appear.. - Samsung Galaxy Mini

I had been using Mokee OS before flashing New Experience Jelly Bean Special Edition ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2193327).. After flashing I found out that the ROM didn't show lock screen. Thinking this as a bug of ROM, i reflashed Mokee os just to find out that lock screen didnot appear in it too (It used to work fine b4). Now what should I do??
I have already tried following things:
- Wipe data & cache
- Wipe dalviks cache
- Changed security lock type (pattern/pin) & lockscreens (slide/ring/rotary)
- Unticked 'Disable lockscreen' in Tablet Tweak (& restarted as well).
I desperately wants the lock screen back. Now what do I do??
Thanks in advance

LinuXperia Penguin Edition V5.5 Data transfer

Hello !
I've got a problem with turning on data transfer on my x8 with LinuXperia Penguin Edition.
I was trying to turn it by settings -> ... but even when it's "on" that ISN'T WORKING.
When using widget it's also not working.
Anybody already solved this problem.
If that's important my data transfer was turned off when instaling ROM
use facktor rest and wipe cache for fix this.
If again it not work reinstall rom and kernel.
factor reset and wipe cache worked !
Thanks dude !

[Q] With many roms, I get stuck at boot screen.

I tried using miui android 2.3.3 - it worked.
The only other rom that works is the AOKP milestone 5.
So far:
BCM doesn't get past the X on boot.
Runny rom does get past the X but gets stuck at boot animation.
MIUI 4.0 goes into bootloop.
CM 7.1 does boot, but also has it's problems: when the screen turns off, if i try to wake the nexus using either the power button or the trackball wake, it remains black.
*** I'm using blackrose and always partition the hboot correctly for the specific rom.
I tried to format sd card, clear data, clear ext partition, clear cache, clear dalvik cache, always do a clean install, but everytime, theses roms fail me.
Now, I'm mostly curious about the booting issues. What could I do to fix them?

CyanogenMod 9 - Home Button & Lock Screen

[SOLVED]
Sorry I keep posting things to myself and solving it on my own after hours -__-.. I already struggled hours beforehand and was frustrated..
Anyways, I went to CMW recovery mod, deleted the back up that I backed earlier. And then format/reset to factory mod / wipe partition / cache / Dalv. Then I went to boot my device but after 10 minutes, it'd still be loading cyanogen.... so I reinstalled the CyanogenMod9. Wiped all the things I mentioned above again and when it loaded to OS, it worked..
I have no idea what was causing it.. probably the back up file interfering somehow? Because that's the only thing I got rid of and everything went back to normal.

Hey guys, I successfully installed CyanogenMod 9 on my Gingerbread 2.3.5.
Everything is great and slick. I used to use CyanogenMod 7.
Funny thing is, I enabled the lock screen (pattern) and it seems to be not working? I don't know if I'm missing something but after leaving my phone for good 20 minutes, I came back to turn on (from sleep) and it wasn't asking for lock screen pattern. I tried slide too, same.
Also, from my previous versions, whenever I was in setting or any app, if I were to press on Home Button it would bring my back to main screen. My Home button no longer does this. I have no idea what it does now, I press it and the phone vibrates (indicates that its been pressed) but no effect. I have to literately press Back like 5 times just to return to Main menu.
Is there something I'm suppose to enable or something?
Let me know, thank you
-Dan

lol, hate when that happens
Hey danroh,
I had same issue with home button and lockscreen and this steps fixed problem:
1) I accidentally downloaded Jelly Bean gapps instead of ICS version
2) Reinstalled CM9
3) Downloaded experimental build and flashed that over stable one
4) Flashed with proper ICS gapps
5) Factory reset/Data wipe, Clear Dalvik cache
6) Reboot
-----
Hit thanks if that worked for you

Weirdly, my brother's Galaxy S had the same thing. Home button just would not work after installing CM9. Tried a few things, failed.
Then, I found this thread and I remembered that I'd backed up his old CM7 a while before. Deleted that backup in CWM Recovery, factory wiped/cache wipe, reinstalled CM9 and Gapps for 9 and boom, everything was fine.
EDIT:
Another thing to note is that when the home button wouldn't work, there was no Lockscreen either, just like you had. On first boot it didn't prompt me for a google account either, which it did do after I deleted the backup.

[SOLVED] reset settings on reboot

I've tried searching around threads for similar problems but I couldn't find something quite exact like mine.
Well I'm running a Jellybeer rom now and before that I was running CM9 and then AOSP beerbong rom.. This problem I noticed when I was switching from the AOSP rom to the AOKP rom by the same developer. I followed all The instructions, did factory wipes etc. And then once on the jellybeer rom I just did the cache wipes as required for rom updates. I am also using titanium backup pro to back up and restore the "user apps with data". The problem is :
Every time I reboot my phone:
1)launcher is set to stock.
2) when I activate the nova launcher the widgets have to be restored.
3) lock screen widgets are gone.
4) SwiftKey 3 dictionary has to be updated or it doesn't recognise the old one.
5) randomly during the startup i get this random vertical black bar towards the right or left of the screen for a second or two and it seems to be like a glitch. I've got the soft keys / navigation bar enabled. Before when then rom had transparent soft keys, they would become opaque after this glitch appeared.
6) accessibility options like notifier pro and dash clock are also reset to "off " after reboot but once I enable one of them all of them come Back on as well.
I have tried clearing logs and caches with "sd maid" and I thought It was a bug in the rom, but after many updates, this is still there. No one seems to be having the same problem as me in the rom development thread.
There was this one time when my phone crashed and showed the roms booting screen and once the system was loading, it looked like how the phone is supposed to boot up with all my widgets, launcher, dictionary etc.
This is quite frustrating as every reboot I have to reconfigure my phone partially.

Thanks, for now it seems to be normal. Only I see that black bar on boot. That could be something to do with the rom, I will be moving this to the solved section for now.
If anyone is interested, I backed up my user apps using guide which is linked above and then I proceeded with the factory wipe and then I restored my apps and made sure the main apps that were restarting were kept on the internal memory.
Thanks once again for helping me solve my issues. It's what a relief to reboot without having the headache of setting everything again. Even SwiftKey is working fine. Even though I'm using the older version of it.

Lockscreen Custom Wallpaper
Hi guys,
first of all: this Custom Rom is the best I ever had! Very smooth, very stable and a great battery life.
But I have one litte "problem". I want to set a custom wallpaper as lockscreen. But whenever I set a picture as custom wallpaper the Rom doesn't change the lockscreen. I always see through the lockscreen, so, I see the normal background.
I already gave Apps+ADB Root permissions and it says "Background changed" but it hasn't changed...
Does anybody have the same problem or a solution?
Thanks!
Edit: Okay, i've read that this is a bug.. but now I have another problem. I always get an error that says "com.android.systemui has stopped" and it won't go away. Cleared cache, dalvik cache, rebooted... nothing helps. Have to factory reset my S3 now >.> f**k
