[Q] What problems can I expect with vanilla Android on S3 LTE(I9305)? - Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Q&A, Help &

Hi,
Im thinking of buying a S3 LTE (I9305) here in Sweden but I really like the Nexus 4 stock rom. I have seen that its possible to install a Vanilla Android rom on S3 LTE but will this work perfect? If not, what problems might I get?

First I would say the vanilla ROMs work OK but really the stock touchwiz offers so much more and better stable performance. Plus the Camera on Stock runs super great. In fact the video recording comes with stereo recording as opposed to vanilla doesn't

You can also run one of Samsung based ROMs, remove TW, install Nova Launcher or whatever you prefer, apply a theme like JB Domination, which is an AOSP like theme. There are also a couple of great kernels (Perseus, Boefla to name a few.) which offer so much more tweaking OC, O(U)V options then AOSP based ones.

[android] Replace old bootscreen?

Flashed android to my Tilt and I'm stuck with an old bootscreen from a PDAnet rom.
Does anyone have a replacement boot screen that replaces any old one from past roms? Preferably something android related that can be flashed over top of the android rom.

It may be to do with flashing but you have not produced an android or WM build so is not Development... So is general and as stated you could ask in one of the many android dev threads.

Either way, you just have to search for flash splashscreen and you will get the info you need. Or a trip into the Wiki/sticky area.

if you want miui4 official, come here!

if you want miui4 in your device, vote this.
this is official voting from miui.
http://www.facebook.com/questions/3...e.donanimhaber.com/showTopic.asp&refid=9&_rdr
nevermind... condition A is gonna take a long time to acomplish
The devices to get MIUI V4 should meet the basic conditions: a. With ICS 4.0 from the original factory b. RAM≥512M c. ROM≥1G Those devices who can't meet the above conditions will not get MIUI v4.
That's kinda sad...
conditions is ok i think
RAM≥512M c. ROM≥1G
We haven't an "official" ICS ROM release!
there were several "vote for your device to get official MIUI" similar to the one on this thread to get official miui GB version... so I see this as another useless thread and a waste of time.
i think so but only one click dont hurt anyone...
factory ICS??
what a joke..

Two things, you're in trouble, this is a Development thread and you can't post answers here, second if you almost read the others titles from this forum maybe you notice that there is a cm10 preview that is Jelly Bean....:silly:

@ OP
Use some bloody common sense ffs. We have a questions forum for erm "questions".
This is a DEVELOPMENT forum which basically means n00bs like yourself who cannot even bother to use search button or even read forum titles have absolutely no business whatsoever posting topics in this section.
Also from the sticky topic in this section...

Try and decide for yourself..
Also, wrong section..if you want this thread to remain open, PM moderator to move it to Q and A. Else, get it closed.
Ok, the thread is in the correct section!
So, what do you think about S3 evolution 3.1?

[Q] Which ROM to install?

Since the moderator closed my thread without even reading what I wrote, as if a bot or something, let me try again....
Can anyone recommend an Android 4.4x ROM that works rooted, and works with the latest TWRP?
I want all the basic features to work. I read that Viper won't work with the compass with changing the kernel, and Bad Boyz Sprint ONE ROMz won't work with the latest TWRP.
I don't want to install 20 different ROMs and test each when other people already did that already, that's the whole point of the internet.
Sorry but I saw your last thread and he was right to close it. Roms can't be recommended. Isn't a written rule but it's common courtesy. To recommend a Rom is to say that one Rom is better than another. Do you understand what I mean

Yet here you are posting the same again.
Now you are breaking XDA rule by spamming the forum.
(please take note of rule 7 and now 2.3)
So let me reiterate.
No Best Rom request threads.
Why? You ask.
This is a forum for development
This IS NOT a forum for comparison.
If this thread were open for long enough, you would end up with fighting between users that feel the rom they use is the best.
~Hence, no straight answer
~Hence, you end up trying several
~Hence, you realize, the mod you ignored has much wisdom
so ends the lesson of why we close these threads.
Thank you
