Possible AOSPA 3+? - Galaxy S Advance I9070 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any possibility of us having AOSPA 3+ on our S advance? It would really be great to have a custom rom having most of it!

Yea.. it is posible. But first, we must have a stable cm10 and/or 10.1 All roms like Paranoid, AOSPA, MIUI are only mods, and requires cm or aosp as a base.

This isn't completly correct. We need cm10.1 for aospa 3.xx and Shaaan is working on it. Paranoid Aospa and Miui are Roms not mods based on cm.

Yea, i know. It caused aospa 3+ is based on 4.2.x But.. if we have clean aosp 4.2.2, we can make aospa 3+ Ok, i think we can close this thread.

[Q] Cyanogen and Galaxys

Could someone tell me why the galaxy phones are still not supported in CM? if we have roms and reoriented kernels, why is CM still unstable? or is there some big piece im missing?

CyanogenMod and custom ROMs are two different things. It is true that you can create custom ROMs based off of the CyanogenMod builds, but since we don't have those stable builds, the devs create ROMs based off of the i9000 etc. ROMs.
The CyanogenMod builds are built from scratch; that is why we don't currently have a stable CM build. Once a stable CM build is out, though, there'll be some awesome ROMs based off of it.

Difference between aosp and aokp.

Hi all,
This is a noob question. What is the difference between an AOSP rom and an AOKP rom.
Thanks in advance

Aokp is aosp. Android open source project. Aokp is just the name. Just a rom based (kanged on Google ics and other aosp from source like cm9/cna

No.. pure android is vanilla..
Aosp like any other open source project adds improvements and twraks to pure android source which is what aokp, cm9 cna do. making them aosp . aokp just a name...

so in short
AOSP - Basic Android Source Project (no Customizations) like Oxygen
AOKP - Improved versions of AOSP like CyanogenMod??
and what's the difference between aosp roms and stock roms, besides e.g. preinstalled samsung apps?
aosp = android open source project
aokp = android open kang project (link https://sites.google.com/site/androidopenkangproject/)

It's not really about the Samsung/Sense apps more about the whole "layer" that i.e. Samsung/HTC put over the basic rom, (touchwiz and sense in the case of samsung/htc).
So if you'd take those layers/apps away you would just have the basis which is just AOSP.

[Q] Could you recoment me most suitable ROM

Hi guys,
I have read a lot about different ROM that are avalible for Galaxy S Advance, but I am not sure, which one is the best for me. Could someone more experienced recomend me a ROM on the basis of my priorites?
- Stability
- Speed
- Working wi-fi, GPS, camera and other basic functions
And that is basicly it. I don't need to tune my system and be able to change everything and honestly I don't really want to. I just want to install new ROM and few applications and than use it more or less for office work (calling, texting, email, callendar, google keep, facebook, viber, skype,...).
Thanks a lot!
HarshJelly is the most stable i think.

That exacly what I was looking for. Thanks mate!
I’m using and recommend the latest stock rom for Italy (ITV, I9070XXLQL)—it’s much better than older roms like LQG or LQE. It' doesn't need any tuning nor custom kernels, it's just working OK
Sami-os
Sami-os is really stable and working perfectly with all functions
I've more or less you same priorities, and I'm using slimrom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2584559
I'm very happy with it so far...

i think you should try harsh jelly, sami OS, slim bean or carbonrom build 7..all of this rom perform very well and quite stable..
For stock 4.1.2 you can try Harshjelly which is nice and is being updated with latest stuff fixed by Samsung...
For 4.3 (in case you want to try a lighter ROM...) You can try OMNI 4.3...
Or latest CM10.2 build....
For AOSP Touchwiz Sense, use Sami Os with JB 4.2.2.
It's Stable, fast, and great Rom.
For CM you can use Carbon Rom JB 4.4.2, the stable version.

For me after using RR made by @somadsul, I've decided that RR is the best replacement for CM...
Thanks for your works @A.Arani
Pure AOSP(2)
Voted for AOSP..
I would choose pure AOSP, If not if would be RR
AOSP and AOSP base ROMs like Paranoid AICP . RR is based on cm so not expecting that..

Tweaking with something like Xposed has 3 consequences:
1- it's not stable and always Buggy
2- you can't get all features on 7.1 with Xposed
3- something u need basic and simple and sometimes faster rom like aosp u can't easily remove parts from os using Xposed
P.S : next nougat rom will be aosp too ??? only matter is time and probably camera is fixed in next released version of nougat

Roms released by Som are 6.0 and roms released by Me are 7.1.
Kernel of these roms are custom themselves.
