Nightly releases will kickstart in a few days. We will merge CM changes every day and it will also contain experimental features from Avatar.
We highly recommend to wipe cache/data/dalvik before flashing the stable releases.

I was just thinking about this ROM last night. I'm upgrading to the HTC One from the Galaxy S3 next month and was hoping to have Avatar running on it. Sweet.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for taking the time to bring this over the Sprint HTC ONE! This look refreshingly different then a lot of other roms on here, mainly cause of the miui themes. THANKS!:good:

What is it?

What is new?
Although Weebo does sport a brand new look, the changes do not remain skin deep. Weebo features many in depth changes so as to facilitate daily user interactions. After collating data and feedback from numerous users, we have finally been able to put forward a compelling and easy to user automation app for your android phones.
Some of the essentials –
Rule Editing
Now simpler and more nuanced, the rule editor screen is a joy to use, both for old users as well as new. Focusing on simplicity and ease of use, the new Rule editor allows you to do the following easily and without any hassle-
Edit the type of rule, and set a name for it
Icons for both adding conditions as well as actions, thus giving you easy visual cues while setting up a rule
Easier to make creative rules by mixing and matching different icons, and come up with new combinations
Broken Rule Indicators
As simple but useful feature, which as the name suggests, allows you to understand much more easily as to which rules are not functioning properly. In the screenshot, you will see this visual cue depicted as a broken arrow, thus letting you know that something might be wrong with that particular rule.
UI changes to Locations and Rules list screens
The locations screen now features an option to selectively see what rules are available for you to use. You can choose to see rules based on their particular conditions/usage functions. Initially we have provided the following – Al/Enabled/Disabled/Battery/Location/Sensor/Utility. Also featuring minor improvements is the Locations page, where you can track various different locations depending on your choice.

Love this ROM, thanks for keeping it updated. I have had far less issues on this one over the other CM10 based roms. Theme engine keeps things fresh on the phone. Surprised to see so few people have commented for such a wicked awesome rom! :good::good:

It's because the rom makers don't bother to change the model number since the t879 is exactly the same as the I717.. You can change it though by editing the build.prop

Even if you flash this to a T-Mobile SGH-T89?!!? I did not Flash the T-Mobile Raido and it works fine.
Pesky Assert 7 error
I keep getting the same assert error 7 issue with this and every JB rom I've attempted to flash. I'm using CWM Touch flashed through ODIN.along with the root enabled system rom from the goodies thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1837907 Invariably, I can not seem to get around this issue. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I finally got this to work. I used TWRP2 for the SGH=879 flashed from CWM. I was then able to flash this rom and gapps. This is a great rom so far.

FYI Issue: I added Gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip manually. When I go to Avatar Updates in the phone and check for updates, it's telling me that there is an update for the same Gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip. It downloads it, but when I try to install it/apply the update it fails.
Any Help?

You already have the gapps downloaded... That update is not relevant.

I understand that it is not relevant..... So why is it thinking I need the update if I already have it?
Here is what is Happening. I tried to let it install on its own, and it will not, so I installed manually:
I get the following error:
Verifying filesystems
verifying partition sizes
Running boot script
Finished running boot script
finding update package
E: Can't open /sdcard/cmupdater/gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip
Just leave it alone?
Does this ROM allow 5 Wide on the APPS on the home screen(s). I could not find it if it is there. Also Is there a way we can create our own theme?
Awesome ROM So far, good battery life as well. Have it on 4 T879's and running Smooth as Butter (v3rsatile23) on all 4 so far! No complaints here. A few tweaks I'd like to see but that is probably just preference.

Not sure what you mean by five wide if your talking about on the dock then no because the is launcher dependent. You can always download another launcher from the play store. My favorite is nova launcher... As far as creating themes. No he said in another thread that there will be 50+ themes available Friday. I'm just sticking with the system theme.

As CM10.1 has hit the general release, Avatar Team is branching with stable and nightly releases.
Stable releases are marked as 3.0. This is the first stable release from Avatar Team. Stable releases will be weekly or bi-weekly and will be tested extensively by our testing team.
Nightly releases will kickstart in a few days. We will merge CM changes every day and it will also contain experiemental features from Avatar.
We highly recommend to wipe cache/data/dalvik before flashing the stable releases.

Its not MiUi ROM. Its a CM 10.1 based ROM where we bring the look and feel of MiUi. Give it a try.

It is not a MiUi ROM. This is a CM10.1 ROM which has MiUi themes. As of now there are 70 themes and we are adding more.

When lockscreen is set to slide and if the phone goes to landscape mode, the graphics are distorted and sometimes phone cannot be unlocked. We are working on the FIX.
Work around
1. If the issue occurs, pull down the statusbar, go to settings and you will have access to you phone.
2. Don't set lockscreen to slide and instead choose any other security mechanism.
3. Disable phone rotation.

Hey, currently using MIUI on my d2tmo and I'm about to sell it,since it's cracked and a friend wants it, then buy a Mako. Didn't see any actual MIUI ROMs for this device, and this is the closest. I have a question though, is it possible to convert .mtz files in a way that they can be incorporated into these kinds of themes?

Rocking this rom, very smooth. The only thing i didn't like was how big the Bazooka launcher app launcher icon is, but i love how Bazooka open app animation is.

Its not possible as of now. We are working on a tool which will convert mtz files into apk.

No luck for me in Safestrap at all. It just keeps on rebooting, even when I put it in freshly rebuilt slot-1
Edit: So I went back in and did a factory reset again after applying the ROM and now it is booting.
Is bluetooth working? Wifi? Both camera? Recording video? Thank you.

No camera for D3 yet. When the camera does work in cm10.1 and other customs you wont have to ask. Everyone will know bcuz a worldwide party will have taken place.

I love MIUI so much and I have been waiting for a ROM with it to come out for the D3. Will be testing later today!
So since people are having luck with booting from safestrap, is it possible to use this rom alongside another, 2.3 rom? Like use this daily, but if I wanted camera functionality go boot into safestrap, switch roms, then reboot? sorry if its a noobish question, quite new to roms, only rooted and installed minimoto and havent played with it since, lol.

Okay, bear with me. I know to install the rom and stuff, I'll factory reset and all. but once I move minimoto to slot 2, install this one to slot 1, would I have to keep resetting when I switch, or just cache? Cause having to resetup everything like apps throught tb, contacts, etc. each time I switch roms would be a real pain and imo, not worth it haha.
Got this to run fine in SS on s-1, but have no data. Any hints on how to get 3g working?

If you install to two different ROM-slots, you're good. When you boot into safestrap, just pick a different ROM-slot to switch which ROM you are using. It's pretty much instant in SS3.05. So if you're using this and you want to take a picture, you reboot into safestrap, go to the ROM slot selection, click the one you want to use, click the activate button, reboot.

I have been having the same issue. No 3G for a while on the nightlies. I keep testing every couple of builds to see if it's working, but no luck yet. I'm not sure of the last build when it was working, but I think the last one I know worked for me was 03/07.

No, I do this quite often. Just restart Safestrap. Activate the other ROM slot. Restart the phone and it will be running exactly as you left it the last time that you powered off that slot. (So, if you haven't used it for weeks, you mau need to update a few apps from the market again, and wait for any changes that you made to contacts, calendars, etc., to sync down after the restart.)

doubtful, the Spectrum is msm8660 and the Revolution is msm7630, yes I know its listed as a msm8655, but 8655 is just a tweaked 7630.

The application comes with pre-defined set of 20 common rules but you can add your own rules in sdcard (/mnt/sdcard/weebo) and it will be automatically picked up by the application. To activate a rule, click on the corresponding rule (rule will get highlighted)
The rules are simple XML files and you can find more info here.

New theme Elegant
Here we go and our new theme Elegant for our Avatar ROM users and the same is available in our new theme chooser. Please have a look attached screenshots.

Avatar Theme Creator Tool
Avatar Team is proud to present the first beta release of Theme creator tool. It is a QT based desktop application to edit themes.
Themes created using this tool are compatible with Avatar ROM and Cyanogen ROM. Similarly you can edit both Avatar Themes and Cyanogen themes.
Download the theme apk and open it using the theme creator tool. You will see a screen to edit the resources. After editing the resources, save the apk and install on the device.
What you can do with this tool ?
1. There are 1000's of resources that can be themed in Android. We change only a small set of them and if you want to theme more resources you can use this tool.
2. We make some mistakes when creating a theme. Eg: SMS time stamp color was not proper in some of our themes. You can now use this tool to fix it.
3. We cannot satify all the users with a theme. Eg: If you want to have a darker orange shade in denim theme you can now do it using this tool.
4. You can import an existing theme, change some of the resources we modified and you have a brand new theme.
Upcoming features:
1. Ability to create a new theme from scratch.
2. Import MiUi mtz theme file and convert it to theme apk which is compatible with AvatarROM and CyanogenROM.
3. Upload your new themes to our server so it can be used by other AvatarROM users.

Existing AvatarROM users can update via OTA. Go to Settings-> About Phone-> Avatar updates and hit the refresh button.
Avatar Team is proud to present the first beta release of Layout Themeing.
We all have seen how themes change images, icons, drawables, colors etc. But this is the first time you will see how a theme can change the position of UI elements (buttons, labels, etc). Never before an attempt like this was made in the history of Android.
Eg: "Close all apps" button in the recent apps list is on the top-right corner. If you are a left handed user, reaching the top-right corner on a 5 inch phone is not easy. With layout theming, you can move the position from top-right to left-bottom.
Demo:
Lets take up a simple example. We have seen different version of dialer in different operating system. By applying a theme, we can now have the exact same dialer in Android. Not only the buttons look the same, it is also positioned at the exact location.

Install Instructions:
1. Push the systemUI.apk to /system/app (Eg: "adb push systemUI.apk /system/app")
2. Install the themes as any normal android application (Eg: "adb install -r iphone.apk")
3. Go to theme chooser and apply your preferred theme
4. Open the dialer and check out how look and feel changes which each theme.
Some Surprises
1. Check out the clock position on the status bar. Yes it is centered. We can move anything to anywhere.
2. In the recent apps theme, we have moved "Close all apps " in the recent apps list from top-right to bottom-left

Look folks, you can see from the OP that its "Merged with CM 10.1 M3 build( 14th April )" so it will have the same bugs as that build unless otherwise stated, thats why there is no changelog.
@OP, it would be useful if you pointed this out as a lot of people will spam this dev thread with these quesions unless you spell it out in the OP

Look folks, you can see from the OP that its "Merged with CM 10.1 M3 build( 14th April )" so it will have the same bugs as that build unless otherwise stated, thats why there is no changelog.
@OP, it would be useful if you pointed this out as a lot of people will spam this dev thread with these quesions unless you spell it out in the OP

if you are updating from an older version of Avatar to 2.8b without a wipe. You will have to clear data of Bazooka Launcher
Under settings, Apps -> all apps -> bazooka -> clear data...
If you are moving from an old Avatar build to 2.8b without a wipe
Try clearing data of Bazooka
Drag down Status bar -> Toggles page -> Settings -> Apps -> All -> Bazooka -> Clear data

Avatar Team is proud to present the second update for Theme Editor tool. Based on the feedback, we have added option to edit avatar themes directly from the tool. There is no need to extract the theme apk from phone, copy to desktop and edit it.
