Xperia V Flip Case - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

Hey all, I've just ordered an Xperia V and it will arrive next week. My problem though considering I cracked the screen on my Nexus S is protection. I really don't want to damage my phone and need it protected well. I want to get a flip case with card holders as they are very convenient however, there don't seem to be many manufacturers of Xperia V cases.
Does anyone have some suggestions of cases or had experience with any of them?

Crystal Case...thoughts...

Im looking at either getting the nice leather case, the official HTC one "Diamond Pouch PO S390" (seen in this thread here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=403691) or this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HTC-Touch-Dia...photoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1713.m153.l1262
Anyone got a crystal case for their Touch Diamond? If so whats it like?
Im looking to protect my Diamond as I know how easy to scratch and mark they are (its doing ok at the moment but id like to keep it protected and looking like new)
Thanks, any feedback would be appreciated
I got one yesterday ( for $15 CDN ==" since i didn't want to wait for shipping)
from what i've seen so far
Seems like a great case, it is a tight fit for the diamond, so there are some worries with regards to upgrading the battery in the future....
But aside from that, it does its job of protecting my diamond and the change in dimensiosn is barely noticeable to me.
Moderators Could you move this to Diamond Accessories please, sorry, thought I had posted it in there, but hadnt.
Thanks for the feedback, sounds positive, I want to get a leather case, but at the same time its nice if i can just use it rather than get it out of the leather case to use it.
Mmm, food for thought!
yse mods please move the thread ^^"
i was contemplating the leather case as well before...
the benefit to the hard case is that its as it doesn't make it more difficult to access the phone and you dont need to take it out of the case to do anything
the only pet peeve i have with my case is that the power button on the top left is now a bit harder to press due to the case
just my 2 cents
Most of the crystal cases i have come across are dust magnets...so that puts me off them. Ive ordered the pouch today from Expansys...the official one although i have to wait 3 days before they come into stock..
Had one of these plastic cases on a samsung phone - the case cracked after a few days Lets hope these are different
One reason why im staying off silicon/crystal cases is so that I could enjoy the flushed screen.
Strange.. U guys don't seem to find it a luxury to have a flushed screen. I love it as I don't need to finger-wrestle in order to tap the 'X' button...
MasK, thats a very good point! I know what you mean there, very frustrating.
Mmm, think im just gonna opt for the Leather Case. Think I would just get frustrated with the Crystal Case.
Thanks for your feedback and comments guys.
Slightly off topic...
But do you think somebody (HTC or after-market company) will produce a soft touch / matt finish rear cover for the Diamond? I mean, its an easily replaceable, small piece of plastic and would protect (or hide) fingerprints and make it less scratchy if its soft?
Just a though... if any external companies looking it at, I'll pay £2.99 for a rip off soft touch back cover on eBay from Hong Kong

Htc po s511

Anyone here bought the PO S511 case for hd2? Recommend to buy?
I have the S511.... Its perfect and not too expensive.... I've tried a couple of other cases but keep coming back to this one.... I had the same style case for my HD - I preferred the "side opening" book style case but you soon get used to the difference.

where u bought ur S511?
Ebay UK seller.
I've got one and am happy with it. Build quality and fit are good. This is the only case I've used for the HD2 so obviously can't compare it to anything else but I don't feel the need to find anything better.

thanks for sharing. how much u bought urs?
anyone knws where can i buy it online?
I have this case and I've not been impressed with it at all. The main problem with it is the two rails which tho phone slides into wrap around the front of the phone right where the on screen keyboard sits. This makes it very difficult to select keys which are close to the edges of the phone. (it also makes it difficult to use the outer most quick links)
Everytime I need to type any messages of any length I invariably end up taking the phone out of the case as its just too frustrating to use otherwise.
Also, I don't think this case would give little protection to the phone if it was dropped and landed on either of the top corners.

RayMie87..... why are you asking the same questions over and over again???? The link I gave you has the price and you can order online? There are a dozen other online outlets including Mobile Fun and of course Ebay too - just search on Google....???
If you have a £500 phone then investing £15 in a good case is a "good" investment..... now stop asking and go and buy.....

Otter box like case...

I am buying a Nook HD for my 5yo special needs nephew for his birthday and want to get a case that will protect his new activity tablet. I want something that will protect mostly from drops. I would prefer it to not have a cover so he can just pick it up and use it (I will put a screen protector on it). Thus far all I have been able to find are the jelly style cases and they would provide a little protection against drops, I would prefer more.
Thanks for any and all help!

Haven't seen anything like that yet and now probably won't since they are discontinued.
However, it doesn't mean that something isn't out there.
What you can do is purchase a Square Trade Accidental Damage warranty for it.
A 3-year warranty costs less than $40.
Check this thread for other options.

If I come across something, will be sure to post it.
A bit late, but I did ask Otterbox about it and they said they have no plans, sadly.
Maybe the XO tablet would work better?

High demand!

Looked on T-Mobile to see if the phone was in stock - it's not. It's on backorder until the 29th. I like the phone so much, I ordered a second one. This phone with the battery mod and JBL mod is awesome. It has its flaws, but for $375, this is a steal.

I think it depends on the store. I got my son a Moto z2 force at our local TMobile store which had a lot in stock.

Ur not the only one. I'm planning on getting a second one too. Best phone on the planet(sprint sim unlocked and rooted). I'm one happy camper I've been begging and waiting for this for years since the droid 4.
Btw if ur adding a tempered glass screen protector, I found that it fits perfectly in regular z force case due to the extra millimeter thickness. It won't fit in my z2 otterbox defender but fits nice n snug in my z force poetic revolution case.

Have a link to that case?
I tried a glass, but it chipped a few days after. I put a matte wet install on and it's perfect for my liking.

Its got a face cover and bumped edges dont think mine will crack any time soon. Already fell a couple times with 0 damage. Slippery fone/case tho.

Actually received my 2nd one yesterday. Man, this is such a great phone. I honestly can't believe its only flaw is no headphone jack.
I have no issues on this like I do my v30+. This phone's smooth, great battery, sounds great with headphones and Bluetooth. The screen has no banding and I also get no delayed texts. On top of it all, this phone should be rootable. I may try it this weekend.
I bought on for my kid last weekend. Oreo update killed the display. Spent hours with projector mod guessing on a blank screen to finally get to factory reset. Unfortunately, no joy there. Reset killed pairing with mod, so I was done at that point. Sprint replaced, no questions. Replacement seems to be rolling along fine.
Question of the day; liquid or tempered? Had liquid on original, but they were out when I got replacement.

I went tempered, it chipped in the first 3 days. Using an IQ shield now (liquid apply) and it's fantastic. Not everybody likes the matte finish though. I personally prefer it. It doesn't get oily or get fingerprints. And touch glides across it.

Tab S6 Keyboard Case redesign?

Bought the T-Mobile S6 yesterday and went looking for the keyboard case. The store did not have it.
I noticed all the best buy stores in my area did not have it. Amamzon shows 1-3 months shipping.
Yes I can order online, but I don't see the case available in the shop Samsung app at all.
Just made me think, with all the bad reviews, maybe they are going to release an updated version.
Could just be wishful thinking..lol.

Still available on Samsung UK.
I spoke to someone on their live chat the other day who said there are currently no plans to change it.

Ahh well... Wishful thinking..?
I haven't got mine yet, I held off at first because of the long shipping delays. But the other day it was about $50 usd off on Amazon and "only" 2 weeks to ship so it's on the way now. Design looks fine to me, I think I understand the limitations enough going in but I shall find out soon.
I did just receive my Keyboard case from Samsung.US. It was on back-order for 4 weeks.
I am using this now for 1 week and it sticks really well. No issue at all. I did not have to clean the back of my tablet or anything.
I also removed it several times and it did stick really well. Also after I but it back.
I have no issue at all and am very happy with it.
Maybe they did change something?
So the Amazon delivery estimate has been saying a few months, but it was at my door within a week of ordering, so I would recommend to go ahead and place the order.
As for the case sticking, I've had no problems either. The instructions also clearly state the back needs to be stuck on and left for an hour to adhere properly, so keep that in mind. Also I would clean the surface of tablet just incase before applying unless Its brand new like when I applied mine...
I wish there was a redesign. The body case seems to un-stick randomly and it provides not protection around the sides nor does it keep the screen's edges protected with a "lip".
Otherwise, if someone would make a case that would cover at least 3 sides of the tablet and leave just enough of the side with the keyboard pin connector exposed to attach the keyboard, that would be great. Either that or that side of the tablet is a flap that can be opened to attach the keyboard.
I purchased a $6 silicon case for every day use since I mostly just use the Tab S6 at home sitting in my recliner. But, I wanted the keyboard for those times that I didn't want to swipe everything.
However, the back piece of the keyboard case just doesn't impress me since it's not an easy auto-on/auto-off in any respect. So, I've been considering getting another silicon case that I can attach the keyboard case back cover to, then cut the silicon case just enough to allow the keyboard to attach.
So, what do you guys think? Will the keyboard case back cover's stickyness adhere to silicone better than the back of the tablet?

It looks like the silicon clear case works.

Samsung will never have the integrity to do a redesign for a product accessory, especially a device in their tablet lineup that they don't give two ****s about.
Hello ,
I have the book cover Galaxy Tab S6 by Samsung , it's perfect , finally ! I don't buy cover Samsung for my Tab S4 , Spen outside , it's a big problem ! I buy on Amazon a simple cover to have Spen inside , it's better to go outside with my Tab S4.
