Calls with updated Radio

I updated the Diamond with the new radio version .05 to use the device purchased in India on AT&T's network in the US. While I am able to see that the device is operating on the 850 band, I am still unable to make or receive calls some times in some areas.
Can anyone tell me how this can be fixed? Is a ROM update required along with a radio update?
its not required but you are running a new rom, right?
Thanks Blazeitup. The version of the ROM I am using is 1.37.720.2 that shipped with the phone. The radio version was 1.00.25.03 that I updated to 1.00.25.05.
After I did the hard SPL and updated the radio, the ROM version that I show when the phone starts is 1.37.00.00 but the ROM version in the "Device Information" is 1.37.720.2.
The signal strength is great but can not make or receive calls.
Cant help you with your problem but I will be facing the same problem soon...i do have a question for you though... after you upgraded your radio, was your phone still locked to airtel? I have it unlocked for vodafone india and i need to upgrade the radio to enable 850mhz.
Why dont you give .08 radio a try. It is newer than .05.
Give it a shot.
it might help.
Luck

Flash HTC 5800 from Bell to Verizon

Trying to change rom from bell to verizon already for 2 weeks. May be some experts can advice. I am downloading SPL from verizon (extracted from updater) by jusmSPL or by program for S730 (spl inside it changed to verizon SPL) but when bootloader executed phone reboot and stay on power up logo. When experimenting with S730 SSpl-wing - it execute boot, switch to flash mode and show 0.91 SPL but mode - Serial and not change to USB. What i am doing wrong with verizon SPL?
I think part of the problem there is you have the phone loaded with the wrong spl. The htc libra is also known as the smt5800 htc fusion htc 5800. As far as I know there was never a spl created unlock created for this device to allow it to cross flash from one carrier to another. Now you say you actually got the spl from verizon nbh to flash onto the bell correct???
hey quick question what mem addresses are you using for jumpspl so I dont have to dump mine and go thru the work. I have a verizon spl I am gonna try soon as I get the mem address. Thanks
Any news on this phone as far as unlocking for different providers?

[Q] After flashing stock (1.6) android, stuck on t-mobile G1 screen

After trying some custom roms I decided to flash back to stock one from Era GSM (network provider that branded and released the fw). However, I got stuck on T-Mobile G1 logo. The firmware was in flashable zip.
On Polish android forums I was told that I have wrong radio and spl and that another thing that may interfere is custom-MTD recovery. SPL is 1.33.0013d, radio is 2.22.27.08.
How do I flash correct SPL, radio and recovery without bricking the phone?
Or maybe there somewhere is Polish locale for DreamTeam froyo or Froyo Melt? Then the problem won't exist
If you didn't already bricked your G1 (sound like you did if you can't get into the fastboot)
Follow the instruction from ezTerry, link below:

Recovery works. I don't know about fastboot.
I already have the radio and hboot mentioned in thread you linked to. So basically the only thing that I have wrong is MTD-recovery. Does flashing only Amon_Ra recovery will make android 1.6 boot?
That, I am not sure.
any reason you were going back to stock? there are many options to get you back there, which i could help you with but im just curious why you want to go back to aosp1.6?

if you have an HD7, instead of an HD7S on Cingular, you will only get Edge.
make sure 3G is set to on under Settings -> Cellular.
you might try a different Radio, yes.

[Q] Vivid Radio ROMs?

I'm trying to find radio roms for my Vivid. (Telstra Australia varient)
I can't get 4g/lte, the phone radio just dies when I'm in 4g areas. I want to flash a new radio rom. Both Telstra (the phone) and the carrier I'm with Optus both use the same band/frequency and such I should probably just need to use any recent telstra radio rom.
I've searched but can't find any vivid radio roms. Where are they?

I'm not an expert, but I believe flashing radios is more of a hassle than regular ROMs. The radio is in a protected partition, which is not modifiable without S-OFF (or maybe some very specific and unknown code from the carrier). I also recall reading that the radio is on a different CPU (FCC regulations?), and that the phone first boots the radio through that CPU, and once that's ok, THEN the main CPU is activated to boot the rest of the phone. So if you screw up your radio, it could be very bad.
I found this thread kind of discussing flashing radios:
