I think it wont work, phone needs to have special hardware support to use it. There is also that one called C-pen, that one might work, but in my opinion, its nothing special, and is not effective as S-pen for sure.

I really don't need the special features, I just want to handwrite and draw better

Never mind, any stylus will do for standard use. I tested the cheapest one at Sanborn's store a and it worked fine

Saw this online and was wondering if anyone here has it it yet? If so what do you think? Does the thumbsticks work? Can they be configured to work as extra keys?....... any input would be cool

It's mostly for Android, actually. The devs says "it's built like a tank" so it should be able to hold the tab (with a future add on).
The question however is good, maybe i'm not up to speed, but last time i checked the tab couldn't handle properly Wiimotes and so on.
Snes9x has already built in support.

Kinda cool, but it would make the tab enormous

Just need a kickstand case for the tab and use it as a portable home console...get it without the bumpers..... wireless controllers B)

A pretty cool idea. This would have to be used without trying to clamp in the tab though. As already stated, it would make the tab HUGE
Really itching to buy this....... waiting for cm7 to be fully operational on my Epic4G before I make the buy..... when I do I will be doing some extensive testing on my SGT :-D

just got mine. I haven't tested the keyboard mode yet, I'm writing code to talk to it in SPP mode. It works extremely well and is much better than the BGP100 (less lag, better build quality), and better than the Zeemote (better bt compatibility, better ergonomics). The price is the only downside

Note stylus

I was wondering, does the note stylus work with other devices as well? All the styli I have are pretty thick, the note stylus looks like it's top is way thinner.
Thanks in advance!

No, its not a stylus its the S-Pen and it won't work with another devices as it uses Wacom digitizer technology.
I tested on the following phones-
SGSII
Samsung Omnia something-or-the-other (not the actual name, of course:laugh
Didn't work.
Maybe it will work with the upcoming Note 10.1 tablet as its based on the same technology.
I see, thank you!

Would this Pen be a good Galaxy Note 2 companion?

I came across this a few days ago. Its the HM5100 BT S Pen from Samsung. Im really interested in it but since it was only a parting gift for attendees at one of Samsung's events, its limited availability and I see it selling for almost $200 on ebay. I'm wondering...is its worth that much?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
It's also a Bluetooth mic and speaker, multipurpose. I can see it being valued at $200. Worth that much is debatable.
117$ shipped
Original Note 2 S-Pen costs 32 euro in the Netherlands, available in white and grey.
This is for 10.1..i have the normal s pen with eraser for note 10.1 which i try to use it on note 2..i found when drawing or write something, its off set a little bit..i even try original S pen 10.1 in its slot..same result..off set..not convinient when writing something..idk if S pen with bluetooth is same off set..it looks like s pen for note 2 is different

I know. I got a lot of info on it and I'm just about pushed to get it but I don't want to be disappointed with the usability at that price.
Oh yeah...

Thanks. I didn't think of that. I don't see any option to calibrate it either. I may have to look into this some more before I pull the trigger.

I've seen on other sites that Samsung will most likely release this pen for purchase as well. The good packaging also leads me to believe this might be true. I like the idea of the bigger pen, but the phone call feature seems kind of pointless. 130 seems a bit high though... Also seems like sort of a burden unless there is a case you can store it in as well, otherwise just another component to bring with you.
Speaking on the topic of pens!
I have a couple all-white, axiotron pens from using it with my ASUS EP121 tablet. I noticed that they work in a similar fashion as the SPen does but one thing that they do that the SPen does not is an erase feature! I can flip around the pen and use the other side to erase what I have drawn but the SPen can't do that... I tried to use the link to find the pens that I bought but the link is not working anymore!
Just a heads up, that there are pens out there that can give you an easy 'erase' feature if you're using the device for a lot of drawing/sketching.

There are videos on it. I didn't see them mention any thing on this type of function so my assumption is no

No. No notification features. I think I might have it already if it included those features.

For that amount of money it's NOT worth it to me.
I'd just get a regular BT headset and go hands free. and use the SPen built into my phone.
Just got one!
I just received mine! I'm currently in Europe, so I got it from Amazon Germany for about 55 Euros, which s still cheaper than the cheapest order possibility in the states.
Anyway, I bought it for my Note 10.1 3G, but since that has been borrowed by the GF, I just paired it with my Note 2. Paired fine, calls seem OK,
However, the S Pen part won't work on my Note 2 when my original S Pen is attached to the phone. Only when I remove my factory S Pen, then the BT S Pen works on the screen.
Anyone else have this problem? If yes, were you able to find a workaround?
I want to be able to use the BT S Pen without having to detach the original one - seems ridiculous that it won't work like this.

Still worth buying or aged?

Looking to buy a new phone soon, and just wanted your views on whether this phone has gone aged.

If your price range allows I would invest in an s2 otherwise this is still a highly supported phone

In my opinion it's worth buying

You could also consider the i9001 (Galaxy S Plus), which looks exactly the same as the i9000 but has quite different hardware. At least on paper it's quite a bit better and not nearly as expensive as an SII. I've got one of those and am really happy with it
Yes but the i9001 only has slightly faster CPU and slower graphics you can easily set the i9000 to the same clock speed as the i9001

I asked around on the nexus s forums and they told me not to buy. They say its showing its age.
I'm looking at Xperia S now. Probably gonna buy it.

A rooted Galaxy S I9000 is still pretty good, but if you can afford it I recommend you the Xiaomi MI-2.
I personally think that the i9000 is a great phone. It was my first Galaxy class and is still with me
I rooted the phone and switched over to running JellyBean (SlimRom version) and think it is just great. I do prefer the S2 just because it is that much faster, but finding it hard to part with my trusty original
Good all round phone but a little slow on some of the major games (I believe - though cannot vouch for that)

Capacitive stylus pen for LG G2

I am wondering if anyone of you had purchased a capacitive stylus pen for LG G2 D802. I don't know if the model of the LG G2 can be the difference in this type of purchase however I specify D802 to avoid misunderstanding.
This is what I found on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/caseen-Capa...03098?pt=US_Styluses&var=&hash=item58a4c828ba
What do you think about it ?
I am not sure that it can work well to write email, documents etc. but I am not expert so I want to ask your opnion about it !
Thank you !
Just so you know, any stylus works with any smartphone and tablet, no matter the brand.
