I'm thinking of switching to AOSP based rom like CM10.
But I don't know how much difference are there between the stock sense camera app and others'?
Will the 3rd party apps make ultrapixel technology useless and turn the camera to normal 4MP one?ใ
TrickDroid 7.5.0 is a sense-based ROM which gives you the option to install the AOSP Camera and Gallery, and I did that. They do not replace your Sense camera and gallery applications, but they are there as well. I cannot tell much of a difference in terms of quality between the two since they both use the same hardware, but it's all about how you set the camera up to take pictures. Of course the Sense camera has A LOT more features going for it, most importantly Zoe.
You will lose only theming and zoe function from sense camera

I currently have a Samsung WB850F and I'm considering Galaxy Camera as an upgrade to my current smart camera.
However, on the WB850F there are 2 features which I really like and don't wantto miss on the Galaxy Camera.
These are:
1. Action panorama : A moving object in the panorama photos.
2. 3D still and panorama photos :Although it has a single lens, WB850F can take 3D photos.
Has anyone tried these features on GC ? Are they available ?
Is there any 3rd party Android apps which could close this missing features on GC ?

I don't see these features in the stock camera app.
I checked quickly and there are a few 3d cameras available on play store.
I'm not even sure what an action panorama is๎ but I'm guessing that one of the panoramic cameras may have it.

action panorama is a panaroma in the background with a moving object in front. The moving person (or object) appears on the photo several times.
I guess it will work with panorama mode on the stock camera then, as it should just stitch together.
The good thing about Android is that you are not limited to what comes in the box. There's always something better out there

Is it possible to load a Google camera apk besides the normal sense camera so I can switch and use the photosphere options from the regular camera and the zoe options from sense camera.
Just like dualboot but with camera.

I guess you have the Omar ROM installed ?
If you want only the Motorola app, you should disable both Google gallery and AOSP camera applications.
If you prefer the AOSP camera, try disabling both Motorola camera and gallery applications.
I don't know if HDR is a feature in the AOSP application.

I want to know that is there a difference in the camera quality of pictures taken by modded google camera installed on Oxygen ROM as compared to the same picture captured by the same google camera version while on custom ROM at the same lighting condition as well.
Can anyone please port the stock camera and gallery of the k20pro for custom roms. I want to root the phone and install a new rom but don't want to lose the crazy camera features and gallery features like sky filters, object cutouts, aperture adjustments & studio lighting. For the first time MI gave something that made me stick to the stock rom. Is there any solution for this? I want to switch but I am addicted to this camera, and Gcam doesn't perform as good as it does on other phones, so yeah if I switch its going to be with the stock camera. Please help! Thanks in advance
Gcam v7 works miles ahead of the stock cam!
But stock on custom will not be possible.. It needs the xiaomi framework & libs to function & customs don't have it.
