[Q] Is there a custom ROM with "Move to SD" ability ? - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all,
I tried many different tweaks to try to move my apps to the SD Card, but none worked (including Link2SD which keeps saying me "App2SD is not supported by your device. Because your device has a primary external storage which is emulated from the internal storage. You can link the app in order to move its files to your SD card" when I try to move an app to the SD Card).
So does anyone know if there is a custom ROM which would allow us to move apps to the SD Card or which is known to be working fine with Link2SD ?
Thanks !

[Q] Apps on the external sd card

Does anyone knows how to move/install your apps on the EXTERNAL sd card? i've got lots of maps and extra games' data on my phone..and when i move them on the external sd card, they are not recognized..
Please help me and other users with the same problem!
Which version of Android are you using?
If you're on ICS then you just go to Systems Settings - Apps. Then you select the app you want to move and you select, "Move to SD card".
I've been on numerous ICS Roms and it's always worked, I'm not sure about GB anymore (I haven't used one for 7 months now )
You can use an app like app2sd, or try to do this manually, like Lord_santa say
I tried both methods but it moves the apps on the INTERNAL sd card..but i want to move them on the EXTERNAL sd card( minisd card that you attach to your phone)

CanĀ“t move apps to SD (internal or external) after flash FXP204. Help

Hello guys
I have flashed my Xperia T (rooted and unlocked boot) with FXP204 but now I can't move apps to SD (internal or external) which I usually moved them with the stock rom.
I have tried:
Menu>settings>manage applications, but "Move to SD" option doesn't appear in this menu.
Android Assistant doesn't show any movable apps.
link2SD i get an error about insufficient memory but internal memory is free 10GB and external SD i got another 10GB free also it say "mmcblk1p2 not found".
app2SD says something like "internal memory is not real or it is emulated".
From recovery mode I formated sdcard and no change at all.
Also I tried some changes on /system/etc/vold.fstab and restart it but it was unsuccessfully
I would like to move some apps to SD.
Please help.
thanks
Remove your external sdcard and on PC try partitioning your external sdcard with ext2(for link2sd) and the rest fat32.

[Q] Make the SD the "default" memory

Hi, I have a Moto G 2014 with Stock 5.0.2 rooted, and I bought a 32GB SD Card a few days ago. The thing is that everything is still going to the internal memory, instead of the SD (photos, downloads, etc.), so I want to know if it's a way to make everything write on the SD card without messing up the phone (I heard I can mount SD in /sdcard changing init.rc but I don't want to do that). I also want to move my WhatsApp chats to the SD too, hehehehe (WhatsApp data is in the internal :'c)
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
For the photos and videos part, you can select from the camera application if you want to store them in the internal memory or on the SD card. For applications I think they are installed in the internal memory by default but you can move them after installation on the SD card by going to settings -> apps -> touch app -> move to SD card. To change the default installation location you need the android SDK installed on your PC and adb and then to edit a file. But I do not recommend this since the SD card is not accessible while the phone is connected to the PC. This will make applications that always run to work improperly(widgets, Facebook, etc. might generate a lot of errors because of it).
I think it's a Xposed module for that.

if you're rooted then try link2sd from play store. you need to have an ext partition on your sd card for this to work.
if you are not rooted then you will have to manually create symlinks to the files on the sd card.

Better try Link2SD. The procedure to turn your external SD to internal storage causes a lot of trouble in most cases.
There are also scripts that link the possible apps and libraries automatically to the SD card when installing them.

How to SD swap and get SD card access?

I am currently on CyanogenMod12.1(Stable Release 2). By default it stores everything in internal memory. I want to get full access to sd along with installing apps to sd. Can anyone help?
i'm having a similar issue, i'm using cyanogen also, and when i try to move apps to my external sd instead of the "move app to sd memory" option it says "move app to usb storage" so i can't move my apps to my sd card :/

I try to move applications from phone to SD with the App2SD and the following message appears

I want to ask if i install another ROM I would be able to move applicationsto SD card
