Call & BT handsfree volume - Xperia SP Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I experience low in call volume and when connected to BT in my car I have to set radio to maximum volume to hear something... Previously I owned HTC and I had no such a problem, so I assume the issue is with the phone, not handsfree in my car...
Any ideas...???
Thanks...

Obvious question Can you increase vol in BT head set.
With mine I set vol in phone thenI need to turn up vol in headset.

[Q] No ringer tone while connected to bluetooth

Hello All,
Whenever my N1 connects to bluetooth in the car, the volume of the ringer goes off (although set to maximum). I cannot hear the dialing tone neither the directions from the GPS navigation software.
How can it be fixed ?
I am using TheOfficial Nexus1 v2.13.2
Thanks

Try to increase the volume using the side buttons WHEN your phone is connected to the bluetooth. Also, try to increase the volume with the bluetooth system in the car.
Also, go to Settings>Sounds when your phone is connected, then click Volume, see if anything is turned off.

[Q] Car dock/bluetooth volume

I am using the N1 car dock only as a charger/holder for the phone. I am not connecting the N1 to the dock, but rather to the A2DP compliant stereo in my car which I am using for both media and calls.
For some reason when the phone is docked changing the BT in-call volume or media volume does NOTHING. However, when I am not docked but still connected to the stereo, at least lowering the BT media volume lowers the output through the speakers (the in-call volume still doesn't change anything).
This is a problem for me because the in-call volume is quite low compared to the media volume so I always have to pump up the volume to hear properly. The kicker is that upon call disconnection the media starts up again at a MUCH louder volume because I raised it to hear the caller.
1) Does anyone know why the dock disables access to the BT volumes and if there's a way to disable that?
2) Is there another kernel I could flash compatible with the CM7 nightlies to boost the in-call volume?
Thanks a ton!

Call Volume Too Loud

Hi I have my call volume set to the minimum, but the call volume is way too loud. The "speaker" is not active, but it is so loud that I have to operate the phone a distance from my ear, and in quiet environments people can easily hear my full conversation.
Does anyone know how I can get that minimum volume to be a little lower.
Using stock ICS, no root, everything standard...

Are u sure you're adjusting the call volume (lower volume while on call) and not the system or media volume (adjusted when on home screen or viewing media). Afaik, the lowest call volume setting cannot be heard and is in effect muted.

Try to lower the vol. While calling someone with the help of volume. Up/down buttons

I've always wanted the call volume to be higher on my note - how come you find it loud? have you used a software to increase volume previously?

I use tasker and netroken volume control for this purpose.
When it detects that it is connected to a bluetooth device it applies a profile which has volume at max.
Once it is no longer connected it applies the default volume profile.

Independent Volume Control Phone and Bluetooth Headset

I just updated to 10. 0 0.173 and since this update the volume of my headset (Bose QC 35) works separately from the volume on my phone.
So if I put the volume of my phone on 50% and the volume on my headset on 50% then the actual volume is 25%. I can only change the volume of android on the phone and the volume of the headset on the headset itself.
Before this update the phone and headset volume where in sink, changing to volume of the headset changed the volume of Android itself as well.
Is there a chance that somebody know's some more about this problem, and can help me to change it back to the old way?
This might be related to Bluetooth Absolute Volume under the developer settings. Check under the developer settings menu and enable it.
