Maybe because android porting is already at 3/4 while maemo is 0.

Thats just your personal opinion.
I say yes, but not same people as android, so android porting wont slowdown. And if same developer would do it, i'd say first make android port good enough for everyday use.
DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS WILL WORK ON THE X1??

The n900 version will boot into the console, with correct kernel and settings, this is probably not what you want.
Any linux will work, the kernel needs some work yet. You will not have a fully working phone.

Android Remote, Control Your Phone From Desktop

Here's an App for Windows that Controls yor phone from desktop, very handy tool to have if you have a faulty digitizer or touchscreen and soft buttons not yet working on a new port.
you will need to have SDK install to use this.
you just need to install Android SDK to default install folder and give permission on phone if asked, that's it. Android SDK Linik http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
Run as admin if you have an problem
You may also need to install JDK if not already installed, link : http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html
it looks a bit laggy on the computer, but the phone actually response in real time.

Ubuntu CM Question

Hey guys,
I haven't been caught up on the development for the touchpad, and I am dual booting CM10 with WebOS and I was wondering if it was possible to install Ubuntu with android already on the touchpad or would I have to remove Android first?

No you will not have to remove anything, smackme and the instructions for which Linux Distro that smackme supports should be in /other touchpad development.

Nexus 7

Is it still possible to install on nexus 7 although not supported by ubuntu installer and multiboot
I'm thinking its possible from cwm
Which roms would be used..
Sent from my awesome Ubuntu Touch device using the Forum Browser app
Are you referring to the first gen n7(grouper), or the n7 2013(flo)? I don't think it's official support, but multirom manager will install Ubuntu touch on flo. I've played around with a couple roms that way, and the basic features seem to work, although it still feels like a pretty early build, and I haven't been able to get things like bluetooth working.
I tested it with the older version and a full blown version of Ubuntu both were not very good so I've upgraded and have the new nexus 7 coming today which is supported by Ubuntu touch, looking forward to seeing and trying it on the tablet

If you would actually go to the page or look at the URL, you would see that it's Ubuntu Touch.
