Discount tmobile refill cards - Nexus 4 General

I know tmobile recently killed the discount they offered top-up card resellers, but there must be someone who is still offering some sort of discount. Anyone know of any websites that are still/currently offering any sort of discount?

None that I could find. You could still buy $50 refills for ~$40 from eBay as of last month, but even those seem to have dried up.

Yeah, I couldn't find anything. I spent 2 hours searching this morning, and all I could find were some pretty shady sites that offered no more than $2 off. I even enlisted the help of my sister, who is into extreme couponing and can find a deal on ANYTHING if you give her time.....nothing
I finally just caved and topped up the old fashioned way. If anyone finds anything I would greatly appreciate a heads-up, though. I'd love to be able to save a few bucks from now on!

Try prepaid-refill.com... I've bought tmo refills from that site a few times with no issue. They have tmo refill deals from time to time, I bought a $50 refill for $40 the other day and yes I know the risk involved with using this site.

You can still save a buck or two on tax if you use callingmart to buy refills, they charge zero tax for tmo prepaid. Saves me a little over $4 a month

yeah, I noticed tmo charged about $4 in tax...wasn't very pleased when I saw how much it was, but I think next time I'm going to do just what you said....every little bit helps, and it really adds up over a two year span which is what a standard contract would be, assuming I had one

buy from Target using Redcard, 5% off no tax.

This is what I do. The fact that it has no taxes and it's instant is really nice. I do miss the extra dollar or two savings they did offer, but it's still worth it over going to a store or something.

At the risk of bumping an old thread, this is great advice. Also right now $30 cards are on sale for $28.49, so with the 5% off, no tax, free shipping, it comes out to $27.07 per card.

Tmo refills seem to be on sale for non red card holders I got $5 off a $100 at target and they don't charge tax.

Target sales on prepaid cards usually last a week so I'm guessing this deal is good till Saturday night.

I know this is old but best not create a new thread.
anyway, just dig around and wow these discount are completely dried out. eBay and Target even sell $100 refill for $105. Cost more than face value. Wow. Buy directly from T and have to pay tax. So my $10 refill is almost $12.

More then 10% off on the t-mobile refill

[Q] Deals on the Bionic

Just wondering what kind of deals people have seen on the Bionic. It almost seems like 3rd parties werent really pushing this phone. I know Costco had an ad with some accessories, but I also saw in the ad that it might not be on opening day.
Has anyone else seen anything worthwhile?
unfortunately nothing special as of yet. i have heard that you can do the $100 off trade-in deal if you are upgrading from a non-smart phone. other then that just accessories.
I got the 100 off for using a non smart phone upgrade then 50 off the new every two rebate. See what happens.
Phone Arena's reporting Costco's doing $280 + a nice accessories bundle.
I was in Costco today. They said they would have 8 tomorrow at this store. He wouldn't say the price but claimed it came with $170 worth of accessories including a dock. He did say they would be cheaper than the Verizon stores.
I am seriously considering this phone instead of my Droid Charge.
Im getting rid of my Charge for this phone. I just cant take the battery drain any more.
I wonder if Amazon or anyone else will be running big specials.

Probably be some deals within a couple weeks, but I doubt it this week.
I just logged into my verizon and the upgrade price they have for me is $249. I totally expected $299.
I got this price by logging into the main phone account on a family plan and attempting to upgrade a secondary line.
$249 at amazonwireless
$50 for NE2, $30 off as loyalty bonus, free o/n shipping.
So one major gripe most reviewers had has been reduced. At $219, unlimited data and rooting it seems like a better deal, somewhat worthy of the delay.
I guess all new smartphones would receive such discount, but by most accounts the bionic is a capable phone and a significant jump from my D1.

For new customers only, unfortunately. Upgrade is $249.
wow didnt know verizon had it cheaper. was about to go to BJ's to buy it as I usually do, since the price for the phone is generally the same and they have better deals on the accessories. Thanks for saving me the money.
EDIT: just went to VZW and it only wants to give me a price of $289 with no loyalty bonus. I am part of a family plan but that shouldnt matter. I have been eligible since july for upgrade. amazonwireless says its backordered.
Checked this morning and:
Wirefly.com was $249
Amazon.com was $199 ( backordered)
Letstalk.com was $199
I'm hoping BJs/Costco will drop the price to $199 and waive the activation fee for me
Walmart.com also has it for $199. stores don't have them yet. Just checked. Don't want to wait though. Plus I'm always paranoid about a 3rd party seller screwing up my plan and charging me extra. Especially my unlimited plan.

$269 in store plus $100 trade-in credit for old phone when adding a line.
Can anyone confirm the $249 price with verizon for upgrading a current line?
I am secondary on a family plan, and my upgrade isn't until 9/13, but the extra $50 off makes the deal a little easier to swallow. As far as loyalty, we have been good customers for at least 5 years, not sure how they do their calculations as to who is "loyal"

My mistake, this price was listed on my verizon for me because I had a $50 phone credit that I was unaware of. When I asked the verizon rep he said that all family plans are credited this $50 every 20 months.
I went in to the store today and got the Bionic for $289 without an upgrade and almost 50% off some accessories. Got the phone $589, a extended battery and door $49.99, case and holster $29.99, HDMI dock $99.99, and screen protectors $12.99 plus 24.43 tax and out the door for $431.63. Saved $375.75

Holy mother of price drops! Bionic already $129 at Amazon until Sept 26th...

http://wireless.amazon.com/f/verizon50
http://m.bgr.com/2011/09/16/amazon-offers-50-gift-card-with-all-verizon-phones/
Wanted to give you guys the heads up on this deal. Amazon already had the Bionic priced at $179. Now apparently they will throw in a $50 amazon gift card for anyone purchasing the Bionic (or other Verizon phones) up until Sept 26th... effectively making the Bionic a mere $129!
Hope this helps someone
Edit: $129 pricing is for new lines of service. Upgrades are $199 ($249 + 50 gift card)
Hmmmm... I'm showing 249....
If you go with new plan instead of upgrade it changes price to $179, and you get a $50 VZW card, so = $129
Does with both new individual and family plans.
Upgrade individual / family plans gets regular $249 price.

Eh, I got mine for $179 with a new line. Still a nice little price drop, though.
Be aware that when you purchase/upgrade your service with indirects/web stores/etc., you not only sign a contract with VZW but you also sign a contract with them.
Some are better than others. A couple of indirects will actually make you pay an ETF if you do something as simple as say a price plan change.

This. I spend a LOT of money with Amazon, and can usually get them to bend the rules on stuff like this (seeing as I just purchased last THU). But no-go on this one without an early term fee.

Good heads up for newbies. I know for Amazon its that you can't downgrade or cancel your data plan on your account for 6 months after you sign up... but after that you are fine to do whatever.
Cant really think of anyone who signs up for a two-year contract just to cancel it 5 months later... Only would be extreme situations that don't affect 95% of people...

I did the math and this is less expensive option than getting a protection plan through T-Mobile or other carriers.
At $7.99/month, that's 95.88 for 1 year and that's not including the deductible.
The Squaretrade warranty is $125 for 1 year without the discount (which would make it less expensive so I WANTS A CODE!!!)
30% off $125 is a total of $87.50 and the deductible is $90.
WE NEED MORE CODES!!
Codes usually come email on Tuesdays.

I keep wavering on whether to pull the trigger on this or not, but with all of the glass on our phones, I'm paranoid as hell.
If we paid the typical $500 - $600 for the phone, off contract, it is probably a no-brainer, but at $299 (8GB model), it's tough to justify.
Today's deal is a max $30 off, for a 2=year warranty, making it $95. Add in the $99 deductible, and you're at a total cost of $194. $299 - $194 = $105 worth of "risk".
In other words, I have to pay $194 to save $105, IF I break my phone. Just don't know if that is worth it.
I thought it was cheaper than that. Given the life cycle of these phones and the chance that they actually break, its not justifiable especially if Google is going to keep this price format. A new nexus every year. Selling previous nexus on flea bay, let's say $150 making sure to take special care of the your nexus and buy a new nexus yearly for around $200.

Apparently they posted the wrong price @ 249.99. It was suppose to have an attached promo code for $50 pricing it down to $199.99 but it was poorly communicated. Thus on the night of the 25th the new $199.99 upgrade price was posted.
So if you call into customer care, tell them your situation and let them know that you need to talk to the order status department and they will credit you $50 + associated tax ($58.xx total for me) to your Sprint account (no charge back).
Thanks girl.

Where did you purchase your T-Mobile Note 4?

Where did you purchase your T-Mobile Note 4?
Would you advice purchasing at T-Mobile's online store or at a nearby store in-person?
Please let me know. Thanks
I always prefer buying at the store because if you have a problem with your phone you can go and exchange it right away, and if you order online you have to wait until you get one shipped to you.
i purchased from costco and was grateful i did. i had problems with two note 4s . both having hardware issues. the second one i had also dropped within the first few hours of having it. costco still took it back with a good deal of unsightly blemishes . the third one has thus far worked perfectly.
Costco
Local T-mobile store, though I didn't get any additional freebies - later I found out they were offering $75 in free accessories which I was not advised of, when I brought it to their attention - I was told it was only valid at the time of purchase. OH WELL. I still love my note 4.

That's not necessarily true.. My parents have good credit and paid a small down payment as well.. I think unless you are top tier in credit your down payment amount depends on your credit score, so if your credit is bad you won't even qualify for a dp lol. In which he obviously qualified so not too shabby
I bought mine through a tmobile corporate store. Local Costco doesn't sell any tmobile phones. Sales person tried to sell me cases and screen protector but I told him no since I was planning to buy from amazon (lower price and better delection). Tried to sell me jump but I also told him no. Went home and got a text saying I have jump. Stupid sales people...

I got the same run around from tmobile for the nexus 6. Went to Costco, and since they don't have the n6, got the note 4 for 0 down and couldn't be happier.
Not necessarily free, they would charge you monthly installments. It would be free when you leave the store, so be grateful. Lol
Another note, one of the store I went to was allowing me to choose unlimited accessories as long as the total added up to $100. I'd get $50 dollars back through my next bill.
You should always get the terms and conditions in writing, otherwise, its bs
