Screen powers on automatically after phone is locked - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, I have an issue here. Sometimes when i lock my phone using the power button, the screen will light up around 0.5 seconds immediately after i lock my phone, read that previous HTC phones have this issue too, anyone else have this issue? Any software or mod to fix this? It only happens randomly.. thanks in advance!

Screen won't timeout

Very odd...
My screen won't timeout anymore, unless I manually press the power button. It doesn't matter whether the phone is plugged in or not, and it isn't dependent on the screen I am on either. The screen just stays on forever.
Is there a way I can see if a certain program is preventing the screen from sleeping? Has anyone encountered this type of thing before?
Thanks!

Did you check the screen time out settings, maybe you got it at 30mins ?
Yeah, it's set to 30 seconds. It must be some program that tells my phone not to sleep?
Even more odd...
It fixed itself!
Rebooting the phone for the last couple days had no effect on the timeout issue I was having, but doing it this afternoon somehow resolved the issue.
Add this to the list of idiosyncrasies that my SGS has.
I'm having this annoying problem with my SGS (JPY) at the moment. Sometimes it'll go to sleep and turn off the screen by itself, but 9 times out of 10 I have to manually turn it off with the power button.
Has anyone else experienced this with JPY? I'm reluctant to wipe and start again, but it's really starting to piss me off now...
might be an old topic, but i am experiencing this right now
i just installed gingerreal guerilla version yesterday and it works fine
however when i connected my phone to usb for charging this morning, it wont turn off the screen unless i do it manually by pressing the power button
weird thing is as far as i remember there's a setting on USB debug mode to turn off the screen when connected to usb. i think it might be related to the rom or is it always like that on gingerbread? i assume that is the root cause,
although i couldn't post the issue directly on the gingerreal thread due to minimum post count.

[Q] Random shutdowns

Hi guys,
I've been having quite a problem with my HTC One. Sometimes it just turns off. But it doesnt just turn off, its completely useless after that. I can not start it again after the screen turns black. I always have to connect it to a charger and press the power button and disconnect it again and try turning it on for ages until it starts up again. Besides from that everything works perfectly.. I was really hoping u could help me... Thanks in advance
Basic info is needed-
Device model
Rom
Kernal
Mods(underclock, overclock, voltage changes)
Anything done shortly prior to the symptoms...........
Well I have a german o2 branded Htc One 32 (no dev Edition). It is still on stock, not rooted and bootloader unlocked. I actually did NOTHING special to the phone I installed normal apps( a few games and navigation software and such) and synched music on it so nothing that could provoke such an error

[Q] Volume control delay when the screen is off

When I try to change the volume for music while the screen is off a lot of the times the phone would not reflect this change until much later or when I turn the screen on, it's very annoying when it happens.
This is not a problem when the screen is on. I use ARHD for the most of the times and I went through (70.0-71.1-81.0-82.0) and the problem is still there, I don't think it's ROM related.
Anyone knows what's causing this? It's a weird problem that only affects the volume change while the screen is off.

Have you tried it with the stock rom?
Have you updated your firmware?
Do you have screen lock or saver installed?

Trouble unlocking screen

I just recently purchased a Nexus 6 project FI phone that was on sale and have been encountering a weird issue: whenever I lower the brightness down all the way and try to hit the power button to unlock, the lock screen flashes for a second and goes back to black and I'm not able to unlock it. What's weird is it still registers my touches because it vibrates as if I was swiping for my unlock pattern. The only solution to this is to keep hitting the power button quickly until the screen finally decides to turn on.
The build is LYV48h running 5.1.1 and rooted/unlocked
Has anyone run into this issue, and if so what can I do to fix it? My next plan is to factory reset it and see if that helps at all
Thanks for your help!

Can't boot phone all of a sudden, totally stock

Hi all
Wondering if someone can help please. All of a sudden yesterday the screen wasn't working on my phone, but it was still streaming music via Bluetooth to my car.
Now I can hold the power button for ages and it vibrates, and sometimes gets a white Huawei logo on the screen, but it won't show anything on the screen.
Any ideas how I can force it to boot up please or do you think it's broken?
