Team Win Recovery Project 2.5, or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. It’s a fully touch driven user interface – no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.

Yah sure, no problem. It does not depend on what recovery you previously have.

BTW doesn't TWRP require some sort of editing in the updater script ?

If i need to restoring my backup is it would be a problem with the md5 checksum ? Or i need change the backup to TWRP ?

Hmm...all zips compalitable with cwm should be working with twrp without any problem. I've tested quite a few zips and they have worked perfectly.

No, CWM's nandroid backup will not work with TWRP. You'll need to create a new backup from TWRP.

TWRP will only not work with older update-binary. Although if anyone is getting status error 2...they can try using this update-binary. newly compiled update-binary will not have problems. :cyclops:

They are coded in their resolution ....perhaps you could have removed the theme.zip file from TWRP ...all would have been fine !

For those of you having problems updating your P3100 via Samsung Kies, here is the .tar.md5 file which can be flashed via Odin.
*Tested on my P3100*:
NOTE: I am not responsible for bricked devices or dead SD Cards, you are doing this at your own risk.

Installation Instructions:
1. Download and extract the file, you will get a file ending with "HOME.tar.md5".
2. Download the appropriate .pit file for your P3100 from here and Odin3 v1.85 (or above).
3. Connect your phone in download mode (Volume Down + Power Button).
4. Run Odin and find the .tar.md5 file and mount it as PDA and the .pit file as PIT. You should see your phone in yellow labelled as COM:*something*. Tick the Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time options.
5. Lastly, Flash! (Don't forget to end Samsung Kies or any other process from the task manager that might interfere in the process.).
That's it, you now have the latest official firmware.
If your phone gets stuck at the bootlogo, enter recovery and wipe data/factory reset.
To root your phone running 4.0.4, follow this guide. (credits: Fz.hary)

Not too many changes. Just "improved stability" as always and there was some problem with the wi-fi connection in LF2 which seems to be fixed in LF3.

to OP : sir if you can root this and give us as a odin flashable package ,then we will get root privileges in stock rom
Thanks to your effort once that is done ,we can use mobile odin to flash clockworkmod recovery and our binary counter wont increases.
it will be a huge help for us if this happens as planned .THANK YOU for your effort.

I think Kidney Poker is making one so there would be no point in making another.
Besides, I am using CyanogenMod 9, so I'll have to flash back to the stock ROM to dump the system and data files and I do not like it one bit because my SD card does not have much space so I can make a nandroid backup of only one ROM at a time, either the stock one or CM9.
So maybe you should wait a bit for Kidney Poker to release it.
regards
I'll post a cwm flash able first thing in the morning. Getting a real file host setup first. As for a pre rooted Odin flash ill try to post one later in the day.

Download speed from given link is very, very slow. Possible to list it on exitbit file-sharing site?
Download speed even on a fiber network is less than 100kbs. Possible to upload this to another site?
Thanks.

exec("/system/etc/aroma/aroma","1","0","/sdcard/rom2.zip");

Maybe slim cm7 roms might work
As their system space is around 60mb so that we should be able to dual boot but also for some clues and hint check out the root log out or something like that app it divides the Tom into different users exactly like windows and data for each is separate

Welcome to my latest port. This ROM was ported successfully with no bugs from the HTC Desire HD forums. Credits go to CedArctic for his original thread..
About the ROM
The ROM is really light and smooth, essential for daily use. The zip is just 160 mb with Google Apps included . It has a refreshed UI completely changed (dialpad and contacts are a small exception ) with some neat customization settings. I think the ROM will speak for itself... Enjoy!!!

Crashes
ROM looks great but tried both of the download links for build 2 and neither have worked. First time the file failed and randomly disappeared, second time I flashed it but TWRP crashed and the third time I was provided with a blank "ligux" file with no extension, so I added the ".zip" extension and TWRP crashed again. Has anyone else had these issues or is it my laptop being tempermental?

if inti.d enabled then
not need app and partition to enable swap
i create scripts to swap in that partition that already in device memory and not in use anymore
swap enable by app consume ram, that device already have low ram
also create partitions on memory card downgrade your sd card life they will damage soon 3-4 months
i have damage my sd card old and new both sd card by creating partition on them:crying:
and if xposed have i use lite app to control cpu not consume much ram:fingers-crossed:

xposed also help to increase your device memory

I am getting also the "could not find meta-inf/com/google/android/update-binary in the zip" error. I am using twrp 3.0.2-0 recovery.
I was using cm11 beta4 stable rom before and i did an advanced wipe everything except EFS and micro sd card to get a clean install.
But I am getting this error.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

The whole point was to avoid the inconvenience of using a computer.
Anyway I will try. Could you be more specific about the settings in odin?

.zip files are generally flashable from recovery, Odin's .tars are indeed a completely different format.
I did a little research and I didn't find a way to flash zip files using ODIN.
Either provide tar file or fix the zip file.
I don't want to end up with a bricked device
