CM/AOKP Go back to Long Press for GNow and 2x Tap for Multitasking - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

On both Paranoid Android and PAC, multitasking is long press and Gnow and double tap which is opposite of what the stock rom is. How do I switch it back? I only found the option to set function of long-pressing home, but not for double tap.

[Q]Google now in recent apps

Is the a way to see the extra bar on the recent apps that appears on stock ROM in a CM 10.2 ROM?
I really miss that feature, to search in google now just by long pressing the home button and to be able to see all the recent apps.
Edit: I found a way, by double tap home button

Any way to change the home button actions (long press and double press)?

Im on a custom GPE 4.4 ROM, and I want to switch around the default actions when I long press and double tap the home button.
Double tap is default set to multitasking and long press is default set to google now. I want double tap to open my menu and long press to open multitasking.
Any way to do this?

[Q] Can't acces multitasting menu

Since a few days I cannot get in the multitasking menu any more (double click on home does nothing). I tried various Sense-Roms (Sense 5.5, Android 4.4) and Kernels. After the install I can access the multitasking menu but as soon as I reboot the device the first time it won't work any longer and I have to re-install the ROM to get it working again (until next reboot). Currently I am running Android Revolution 41.0 with latest ElementalX Kernel (as already mentioned before - I tried other ROMs and Kernels too).
It could be that you have to hold the the home menu to bring up the multitasking

No. This will open Google Now. Long Press brings me to the multitasking menu on other ROMs (Omni...) but not on Sense.
try holding the home button or double tapping home. some roms are set up different. if you cant figure it out you can always use an xposed mod to change what the home button does and set it to long press or double tap
I tried out double tapping and holding the home button. As I said before - holding home will open Google Now and double tap will just act as two normal tapps on home (closes App and brings me to home screen). Is there an XPosed Module you can recommend?

disable gnow home swipe

Change HW button single press action?

Title says it all, i'm on stock. In the Buttons screen there are options to change long and double press of each hardware button, but not single press. I can change single press action of the home button with nova launcher, i'd like to change single press action of the left capacitive button so it acts as a regular menu button.
Try flar2's Button Mapper app.
All I want is long press on back-hardware key to kill the current app which we can usually find in developer settings. Is it a Nugent thing or stock OOS disable this feature?
I'm coming from a galaxy s3 running CM from about 4 years ago and even then it had simple things like this, i could hold back to kill and also use volume controls to skip track when screen is off, etc. Can't do any of that on this new phone, really frustrating. To remap back and recent apps button using that app you need to upgrade to the pro version
