Replace lock screen short cut icons? - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
Is there a way to replace the icons used for short cuts on the sense 5 lock screen? Im using nova launcher with a custom icon pack and would LOVE the icons on the lock screen to match.
I would use a custom lock screen, but all the ones I've come across don't allow you to place a lock screen widget like NILS on the lock screen.
Thanks,
J

If you're rooted you can just swap out the icons in the apk's to the ones you want ... Make sure you open the apk with something like 7zip and drag in your new icons, that way you won't have to decompile the apk.

Is it possible without root?
I've seem some lock screen apps, but don't know how good they are.

There is an app in the play store that allows you to change your icons without rooting but I can't remember the name ... I've never used it so I couldn't vouch for it changing them on the lockscreen but I don't see why it wouldn't.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jy.iconchanger.ad&hl=en ... There's that app but I have no idea whether it would show icon changes on the lockscreen awsell, sorry.

This worked perfectly. I had to change the icons and then set them before activating nova launcher.

Click on the homescreen an choose "Widgets" and HTC Widgets. Her you have several watches and other stuff to choose from.
If you want more than 4 icon across you use ADW Lanucher.

Use WidgetLocker.

I tried to use Lock Menu https://market.android.com/details?id=com.husmithinc.android.lockmenu&feature=search_result, but for some unknown reason the camera button stopped working (tested with SPB shell and LauncherPro).
Anyone encountered this problem too?
it is possible to change your lockscreen sliders as long as you want to play with your framework-res I switched those ugly motorola sliders for those from gingerbread (think so) by replacing them in framework, if you want I can upload png files, default sliders are located in drawable-hdpi on the bottom, filenames starts with zz.
There is go locker now too, looks good.
If you are thinking about flashing Cyanogenmod;
there is options implemented to change the Lockscreen. No more laggy Motoblur Sliders.
( I'd totally recommend that )
Otherwise, Widget Locker really rocks the Milestone 2 =) I bought it and i never regretted it from the first Minute
I really recomend using WidgetLocker, but only in Gingerbread. In froyo, it sucks a lot by not replacing the original screenlocker sometimes.
I used WidgetLocker for a while, but replaces the origianl lockscreen, just stood on top. not recommend.

Use 'No Lock' from the market and disable the stock lockscreen to get rid of this problem:good:

[Q] Remove Sense lock screen and use pattern ???

Hi folks, you have no Q&A section so I'll post in here,
missus has Incredible S wont let me root it, but she wants to use the pattern lock screen but when she does the sense lock screen sits on top anyway of stopping it or removing it without root???? as i said she wont let me root or flash custom rom so pretty much up a river with no paddles as far as i can think, any help much appreciated.
she tried magic locker, no lock ect she just a pain and wants to use the pattern lock with the dots lol
I'll take that as a no then lol
Widget locker? Give that a try
I'm confused, it's just the sense lockscreen on top. Even all the other roms/versions will have aosp lockscreen on top before you get to the pattern OR sense lockscreen on top. Using widgetlocker would produce the same result. You have to go through unlocking it before getting to the pattern. so I'm a bit confused as to what you want exactly, and just out of curiousity.. how would you go about doing this if you rooted her phone?
Not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for but Go launcher has an add on called GO Locker with some different customizations.

lockscreen icons

I cant seem to find where I can change the lock screen icons from messaging to something else I'm running nova launcher also if that matters. What if I want no apps on the lock screen etc.

Go to settings and then find lock screen. You will see lockscreen shortcuts there. Click on the words, not the check box and you can customize it. You may have to remove some before you see an add option.

Lock screen customization?

Is there any way to get a custom lock screen? Like change the clock or clock position, maybe even a different lock screen wallpaper? Thanks in advance

i think this goes in the Q&A section. but to answer i dont think there is right now, unless you use a 3rd party app. but do people still use those anymore?
I would like a custom lock screen as well.
About as custom as ive seen is adding lockscreen shortcuts in liquidsmooth rom. I would like to be able to change the clocks color
This is something that I feel should be standard in Android, I mean at least the ability to change the wallpaper. We shouldn't have to use a 3rd app to do the basic function. I know most custom Roms enable you to do this but android is about customization.
