22mm Watch Bands - Pebble

Looking for a watch strap to use with your Pebble? Look no further. The goal of this post is to make a comprehensive list of watch bands and images of them on actual Pebbles.
Post pics and/or reviews of your watch bands below! I'll try to keep the OP updated with your finds.

[EBAY] 22mm BLACK RUBBER DEPLOYMENT DIVER WATCH STRAP BAND
Fossil Leather 22mm Watch Strap - Black
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43424371&postcount=5

I've purchased 2 watch bands, I'll post up pictures when I get them!

I've ordered a Hadley Roma kevlar band, will post pics when it arrives

watch band i picked up locally for $5 used, because the rubber one was too itchy for me. its "genuine leather" but its very light, surprisingly comfortable, and looks alright. should hold me over til the kevlar one arrives to complement the back of my phone

I bought the Fossil Leather band for it, really like it. Nice thick leather, I especially like the piece that goes under the watch. Couple of better pics and a link. There is a Fossil store where I live so I got mine there, but you can order online.
Link: http://www.fossil.com/webapp/wcs/st...&cm_vc=2020&categoryId=2020&imagePath=S221047

Updated OP with the watch strap I got today!
Also, it would help to make this a one-stop-shop for pebble watch straps if you guys posted links along with pictures of your watch straps :good:

Another watch band added, don't hold back guys

I really like the first strap, the rubber diver.
Shame I'm in the UK. Will have to see about looking for a similar one over here!

It's rubber, so it does tend to pick up a lot of dirt/fuzz. Washes off effortlessly however.

That's not too bad. Can give it a wash when it's charging time.

nice watch band. black leather would look nicer i think, i'm not sure whether they have it tho

This is what I get - though the color is Dark Brown:
It's called iWatchz STLDBRDYTP Timepiece Stainless Leather Watch Strap - available from Amazon for about $25.
It's a bit tricky to install and I have to take it to a watch repair show, but it cost me only $5 and the band covers edge to edge (see the picture).

Hi,
The strap looks very nice
Could you please put picture with Pebble
Thanks

Anyone find something metal (black) that goes well with the watch? Thanks

There are many of these.. search in Pebble forums.
HOWEVER, there is a warning for using 22mm metal band...
Be careful of using any metal band which has spring-loaded ends to allow the band to fit various widths of watch lugs. These spring loaded pieces are often sharp edged, and push against the insides of the watch lugs, to ensure no lateral slack. BUT they can easily cut into the insides of the watch lugs, even with a metal watch; and the Pebble has plastic lugs ! You really need to get a metal band with fixed 22 mm ends.
Being in the watch repair trade I have seen many vintage watches with lugs carved away by these awful bands - don't do this to your Pebble.

Here it is! Note that I also use "SlickWraps" to give the "wooden" effect lock on the watch face.
PS: I don't know how to ROTATE the picture 90 degrees for posting in XDA...so the pics look sideways..

I have one of these fitted. Very chunky, very heavy and very nice.
To me the contrast of the polished stainless steel with the black watch looks very nice.
It required fitting in a jewellers due to them needing to take a couple of links out of the strap for size.

Bluetooth works fine. Linked a picture from my Dropbox.

What's the process like for actually changkng the bands. Is it very difficult ? Is the stock band damaged during removal?

Targus Vuscape Case

It's made for the Kindle Fire, but it fits the N7 just fine. It doesn't fully close. What I mean is it doesn't clasp the side since the tablet is skinnier then the Kindle Fire. But it does the job until something better comes out. I got it for $15 at Marshall's

It looks exactly like the yoomee case for the kindle, and they say that it also fits perfectly for the nexus 7. That case though is only 5 dollars with free 2 day shipping with Amazon Prime.
That case is branded by several (hundreds?) companies. Good design. I've been using one on a Galaxy tab 10.1 for six months. Good slim protection and holds it well.If anyone is wondering: don't get one of those cases that covers the bezel. You might not like bezel, but you'll hate those cases.

From my experience, cases that cover the bezel can be really tight. So tight that it effects your ability to use the touch screen and can distort colors due to the pressure.
Clips only for me forever.

A few issues:
1 - thicker and heavier than other cases
2 - pain in the ass to put the tablet into and remove
3 - covers the edges of the screen from some viewing angles
4 - different light quality on the edges versus the center
5 - (this is the most important) affects your ability to interact with the touchscreen for things on the edges or for certain swipe gestures. With the nexus this will be particularly important because it has a tiny bezel on the sides.
I just ordered one of these, $5.99 and free 2 day shipping with Prime.
Looks nice. Thanks for sharing.
Picked this up last night. Looks and feels nice. Only down side is that I find it hard(er) to hit the power, and vol buttons. The back also does not have holes for the speaker but I can still hear sounds just fine.

QUOTE=janedoesmith;29056481]Looks like nova launcher.[/QUOTE]
Ah thanks
I am actually picking up this one until more premium cases come out:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008IEGS9W/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&smid=A29LLD0WGS56WE
I purchased the same case in red (I wanted black with black stitching) since it was 4.00 on Amazon with 2day free prime shipping. Mine isn't branded targus, but it is the same case but less than 1/3 the price, and without the white stitching I find so unappealing. It really is a nice case. I planned on buying this to hold me over till better cases come out, but I'm going to stick with it now.
Since this particular case is made for the fire:
No speaker cut outs, but if you have the case set in portrait stand mode, the speakers are exposed. Perfect for me. The clasp does close, you just have to bend the clasp inward. If you look in picture 5 or 6, you can see how far I bent the clasp in. It fits like a glove now.

The "gadgeteer" in me says "Why yes, of course it's worth it." My wallet says otherwise. It does have a metal band, metal face, and fingerprint resistant face.
the matte black with leather strap looks pretty good, i wish they'd sell it with a choice of straps though, might take down the price a bit, the 250$ includes both a metal and a leather strap

Overpriced. The regular Pebble at $150 is too much. I got it with the Best Buy deal and at $100 it's worth it.
$250? The Galaxy Gear can be had between $200-$250 when it's on sale.
One major problem I see is the special strap (Yes Im aware the Gear has this same problem but you're getting superior hardware at a similar pricepoint albeit a shorter battery)....you can't use any 22mm strap like you do with the original Pebble. I use my Pebble while I'm working out to get notifications and change songs. I use a rubber or Nato strap for that and swap it to a leather strap afterwards.
I'm not going to workout with a watch on a steel bracelet. Sure I could opt for the leather but if you sweat on it consistently, it'll need to be replaced in a few months. Guessing it'll be 39 or 49 to swap it out.
Looks a lot nicer than the original plastic version. Still sticking with my Gear
It's a lot more fun playing with the Pebble than the others. I have the Sony SW2, bought the Gear, returned it after 30 days, bought the Pebble and the new Sony. I'm planning on returning the Sony, don't know yet. The Gear was so limited in terms of apps and plain simple "fun" toys. After all, these are all toys.

"Pebble Steel will run firmware 2.0. Pebble has promised to push this firmware update to existing Pebble users toward the end of January. The software update will be compatible with SDK 2.0 apps that will be available in the appstore."
It also has an led that I'm sure somebody will come up with a use for, double the flash memory and both metal and leather straps come with it. As for the non standard 22mm strap, when I went looking last weekend for a new strap for my plastic pebble, I was presented with many bands that would fit the design of the pebble steel.

Look up 22 mm notched straps on eBay and there's none.
Look up 22mm strap and you get tons of options.
Apparently RAM has been upped in new model (how much, I don't know). Addition of LED indicator too. Otherwise, same functions as original one.
I will stick to my original black pebble with black metallic bracelet. IMO, looks amazing still

Hi, not sure if links are permitted so will just give you the details. I purchased it from Amazon UK from the marketplace seller Ritche Horologe Co. Ltd. The product details are: Ritche 22mm Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch Band Strap Straight End Solid Links Color Black (£12.99). Took about a week to arrive but we'll worth wait. Good quality for price and easy to adjust length with removable pins.
Returning to thread topic...who's bright idea was it to stamp a massive pebble logo on the front of the new pebble steel? Not sure how popular that will be...IMO, this logo dominates the screen. Should be much more discrete/subtle.

Slickwraps for the GWR- First takes
First off, I paid my good money to buy this for review and personal use. I am no way affiliated with Slickwraps, but I do get discounts from time to time, but this was not one of those times lol.
Site: https://slickwraps.com/wood-series-skins-wraps-for-lg-g-watch-r.html
Ok first off, there are NO install instructions. even though they tell you to refer to slickwraps.com/install. But the only wearable install vid is for the Pebble. Not even for the Pebble Steel mind you. But fear not, I have installed it using my infinite patience and know-how and years of experience in applying skins and screen protectors and other junk on our devices.
Amazingly, I didn't mess mine up too bad. I mean I have ordered stuff from Slickwraps many times on different devices, so I expected nice thick skins. I have chosen the one from the Wood Series, the "ebony" version. I wanted it to somewhat match my Maori band with Cocobolo wood buckle that adorns my wrist  . I ordered on late night, 4/6 and just got it delivered to my offcie on 4/10.
Ok back to the install, the packet only comes with the "stop" card and the skin. It is pretty self explanatory on which goes where and the one with the hole is of course for the mic hole on the bottom of the watch. Now this was a bit of a pain to line up. Maybe it's my old eyes, but I had a heck of a time getting it the best so that I can clear the mic hole AND be somewhat in the borders of where the skin rests. There are small cuts to fold or press down on the top portions of the skins so that you can adhere it in between the top and bottom lugs. Next I did the sides of the watch. The button one comes in three pieces, which makes it nice and easy to install. The button part, you can leave it off if you prefer, especially on the darker skins, I put it on for kicks and giggles, and it's ok. The opposite side of the watch is a bit trickier because of the longer piece. You just have to line it up just right so you don't have it wrapped more on ones side than the other.
Then the areas right under and below the non movable bezel was another two that were fairly easy to maneuver. Keep in mind all these pieces have a lot of forgiveness. Meaning if you mess up,like I have you are still ok. Just be gentle in pulling the skin up to correct ones misapplied mistake. The biggest PIA was the circular skin that goes lays right outside the bezel. OMG I was freaking out hoping it was on correctly!! LOL It is on pretty good, not my OCD perfect but hell, good enough lol.
To sum, the skin is of very good quality that has a lot of forgiveness in the application process. Not too sure about the bezel one, that was a one and done one! The overall look is pretty kick ass and almost....almost resembles the real thing IMO. Is it worth it? Well if you have used Slickwraps in the past and have good experiences with it like I have, then yes! :good:
Ok ok....pics forthcoming...oh and any questions please ask! Enjoy!
These things look great and they have so many options. Great review.
Moar pics! Now wood everywhere! lol

Custom strap made for me. It's what is called a Maori design. Watches like Magrette watches incorporate some design elements of Maori as well. I just loved the details and had it custom done. My first initial is on the end of the band, Maori style as well for the ultimate customization lol.
This band needed curved 22mm springbars to fit this on the watch due to the thick leather used. Yes they do sell curved spring bars lol.

Hi,
I'm looking for a phone case (no flip preferably) for my Honor 7. That is not for the "design" but to protect it (fall, etc.). So the case should exceed slightly the screen edge to protect it. Any ideas?
Thx

Nillkin nature is best quality TPU case, but doesn't have alot of screen protection as its meant to be slim http://www.ebay.it/sch/i.html?_from...r 7&rt=nc&LH_PrefLoc=3&_trksid=p2045573.m1684 or from China for cheaper, but you got to wait around 2 weeks.
I bought a silicon one which is fine, except for one big fault which you should all watch out for on this model - the FINGERPRINT SCANNER they left a silly small hole for it, but the thickness means you have to bend your finger in, makes it really difficult to use. Need to find one with plenty of room for the fingerprint scanner, protection isn't really needed there so they should leave the back there completely open. Any suggestions? Maybe I should just cut out a bigger hole lol

Lug Adapter Zenwatch 3
I looked at the pictures of the lug_adapter and to me personally
it looks ugly and not professional at all.
What's really needed is to find someone who can make lugs identical to the
original lugs attach to the watch just like the original ones but 20mm in size
so we can attach any 20mm bands to the watch without making the watch
look un-professional.
This lug adapter on Reddit looks similar to what I seen on Amazon.com
for the Samsung S2 Classic watch which had the extra link attached to
the original lug which also looked bad. (if you all know what I mean).
Have a great day!

This is available on Amazon now, but the reviews aren't stellar. Apparently, it's actually plastic not metal (why are they called Steel Connect?), and the color/texture doesn't match the watch metal at all (not even the black). I'm really disappointed because this looked like a really good (even though overpriced) solution, but I ended up buying the watch anyway after several companies came out with metal mesh bands that are specifically designed for the ZW3.

It works for me.
It's aluminium. Lightweight.
Though the corner edge is of the connector is sharp.
If you play with pets or kids, just take note not to scratch the kids.

As I said in my previous post here, the steel connect is an ugly piece of junk
which makes the Zenwatch 3 look like something home-made by someone
who does not know what they are doing.
It might be OK if you broke your stock band and there were no other choices
of bands, even then I would not pay more than 99 cents for it since that's all
it's worth. At Amazon Com there are many other very nice choices of bands
specifically for the Zenwatch 3 which look great and look very professional.
They also cost half as much as the cheap, ugly steelconnect adaptors.
Your screenshots prove my point very well, the steelconnect adaptor
makes the Zenwatch 3 look ugly and unprofessional. LOL
Have a great day!

How can a company sell something called "SteelConnect" when the
adaptor is made out of plastic, it's false advertising.

It's new year eve. Chill. I just post to share my experience.
Really like the aluminium used.
Though not sure your problem with "plastic". Definitely it is not made of plastic like what the Samsung Galaxy series is using.
Some other views with the aluminium finish. Take note sweat will erode the aluminium gently. So do wipe it with damp cloth regularly.

Sorry about that, I forgot it's almost New Years eve!
Enjoy your Zenwatch 3 with the steelconnect band adaptors.
Have a great day!
The photos of the connectors in the Amazon reviews really look plastic, and the reviews actually state they are. Do you know if the manufacturer created multiple versions? Maybe the original ones (prototypes) were plastic?
All that being said, your connectors don't look plastic and actually look pretty good (even if I don't really care for your choice of bands -- that's the Steel Connect band, right?). Glad you like them. I would probably buy a set myself if I could confirm the ones I would receive are definitely not plastic. I'm not paying $40 for plastic.
Happy new year!
Here's mine with a nato strap that came with the connector. I have had it for about 3 months I think.
Colour matching isn't perfect, but it does the job well.
Worth it or not? I guess it depends on whether if you really want to freely change watch straps.
