B234 3500mAh Battery I found on ebay... - Galaxy Ace S5830 Accessories

Hey guys, I found this very cheap and pretty strong battery
http://www.ebay.com/itm/B234-3500mA..._Phone_PDA_Batteries&hash=item2a2c0b88b7#shId
As this is my first time ordering accessories for my SGA, what are your experiences with bigger capacity batteries, especially those ordering from ebay and China-based retailers?
Thanks

A good thing I've noticed is the bigger battery and so a bigger back cover so maybe I'll give a try to this battery. Never trus batteries of the same size of the original one but more powerful.

Got my battery a couple of weeks ago, it does work fine, lasts about 3 whole days with heavy use (Wifi always on, a lot of music listening, about hour of talk and ca. 30 sms), but you have to calibrate it first. (I think that's the word in English, the thing when you charge it and drain it 3 times)
There is no warranty as a piece of paper, but the seller has return policy.

capacity is cool
wow 3500, really cool. after seeing review, its worth.

Upgraded my phone now, but this is pretty cool and cheap. UK link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350964257092

Here's some pictures, this thing is awesome if you are still using the Ace. I wish this had come out sooner before I got my N5, because I was carrying 3 batteries with me everywhere and swapping them all the time after they ran dry.
Don't know how long it lasts yet, just installed it and haven't ran it dry and then powered it back up fully yet, but going from stock 1350mAh to 3500mAh should be pretty good, and it's not like those fake batteries that are the same thickness as the stock battery claiming to have insane mAh which are obviously fake.
http://imgur.com/a/cVYS4#0
Edit: I thought the battery was junk at first and not really increased capacity, but it seems charging while in the ROM doesn't work properly (??)
It was draining very fast, so I let it drain fully, then charged it fully with the phone off, and now it seems to be fine and (no specific durations) lasts quite a while, so it's definitely legit and increased mAh.

I want a new battery with more power to my phone, i am also not apposed to getting a Extended Battery.. Any suggestions, or info i should no about?
Check out the Hero CDMA sub forum, there are several options for batteries there.
You can pick up two extra batteries and an external charger for about $12 on Ebay. I went this route and don't regret it. I keep a fully charged battery in my glove box and another in my back pocket.
I never worry about killing my phone during the day from overuse. That said, since I've been using Zen's newest MT3G slide ROM, I haven't been able to completely drain a battery while at work.
Check out my sig (the TP2 batteries) for ideas on batteries...
in a nutshell unless you want s really big battery. The best choice is to get a 1500mAh OEM battery or the cheap 1500mAh no-name ones (which are pretty much as good) Don't fall for the mugen and Seidio ripoffs

the seidio cover is basicly junk.. so what i ended up doing was getting the oem htc extended battery door.for the hero ( basicly just like the stock door..etc ) and took my siedio 3500 mAh batt. and took that apart etc. to make it fit under the door..
Worked like a charm.. and looks stock.. cept for the slight buldge.. now most will be like bah this bah that. who cares..lol best 100 bucks ive spent..etc..

The new OEM TP2 2100 batteries...Are you considering them the best for the Hero..? If so where's the best place to get them ?
Mac
for what it's worth, i was hesitant to spend the money on the 3500 mostly due to everyone saying that back cover looked like poo. after getting it though, i can honestly say that it is of good quality. obviously, it's black, and that will bother some people. to me though, it's kind of cool when other Hero owners (there are a ton of them, too) comment on it. they can't believe how much better i tel them the batery life is since that seems to be most people's biggest complaint (for smart phones in general). The cover is rubberized and doesn't fall off like some people say.
As for battery life, i unplug and turn my phone on at 4:45am every morning and usually turn it off around 10pm and plug it in. in that time, my email is pushed every 30 minutes, my bluetooth stays on, i stream shoutcast or pandora for about 1.5 hours (to and from work), send and receive on average 15-20 text messages, talk maybe 45 minutes, and surf the web (gotta check engadget and xda, right?) for at least 30 minutes. the gps stays on the whole time and i only use my task killer once about 15 minutes after my morning startup when all the crap is running in the background. when i turn the phone off at night, it has usually just dropped to the 50% mark. well worth the $53 if you ask me...
2000mah battery
If I'm not mistaken, isn't this the battery that fits the stock back. Previous posts lead to dead link or relisted after relisted, on and on? If this is it, it's back on ebay. I had read somewhere on this site that it was worth the long wait.

Are there any batteries for the DINC that are the size of the original but have a higher capacity (if thats the proper wording for it)?

I have seen those reports too, don't believe everything you read.
I had a Touch Pro 2 before this and the standard battery was a 1500mAh. I had the Seido 1750 for it and it was a lot better than the original battery.
When I got my Dinc I was using the stock TP2 battery for a while and then I bought the Seido 1750 for it as well. I have no regrets, in my opinion it is a lot better than the 1500mAh battery.
The way my phone is set up and the way I use it, with the original battery I could rarely make it through a full day without having to charge it.
With the 1500 by the end of the day I was about done (anywhere from 15% to 25% remaining.
With the Seido at the end of the day I have between 30% and 40% remaining.

Buying that battery now. Hopefully it adds a little boost in battery life
I bought the battery mentioned in this thread and have been getting great battery life. Right now I am at 21 hours with about 17% left. Prior to this I was unrooted and having to recharge every 8 hours on the stock battery. Definitely recommend it but the best improvement to my battery life occurred after I rooted.

Flip it over and squeeze along the edges, working from the camera end to the bottom, making a firm connection as you work down the edges. After a few times things settle in and closing the back is no challenge at all.

Yeah I bought the battery linked in this thread and its been worlds better than the stock. I'm at 27 hours since my last charge, with wifi and Bluetooth always on a few calls and about an hours worth of robodefense, I still have 18% left. Skyraider could have something to do with it but the battery is well worth the investment and the snug battery cover fit was fine.

are you sure that's even possible ? unless the battery was made of some other kind of materials, I have tyrouble seeing how you could store more power in the same battery size.
If you don't want a bigger phone, Your best bet would probably be to buy a second standard battery but it's a hassle to swap the battery when it's empty
If the battery is the same size it could in theory have more juice but it would be negligible. Seriously though, I picked up a charging cradle with battery charging slot and 2 spare batteries for $20. I also have a car charger and 3 chargers in my house. Unless you get a battery that is about double the size, you won't see a big difference and even then many batteries don't live up to their specs. Chargers and spare batteries are cheap. We're not dealing with smartphones of a decade ago where everything was proprietary and would cost at least $30 a pop.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda premium
I remember reading something about this... I think it might have even been on this forum but it was something along the lines of "Don't you think, if it were possible to fit more juice into the same size battery, that samsung wouldn't do that with their OEM batteries?"
Samsung, and I'm sure many other major device manufacturers don't just buy a battery off ebay and throw it in their phones. they spend time and money researching better battery technologies to get the best power/life they can.
It's my second day with an Andida 1850mAh battery, no big changes yet compared to my 8 month old 1500mAh OEM battery, i'll post back after a few complete drain and charge cycles.

How long have you had the battery? I'm looking for a new one as well but not if I am going to get scammed. Thanks!
Not Nexus related, but I have a vibrant that I got the Galaxy S 2 Epic 4G Touch battery for recently. Battery life went from about 6 hours to dead (month old 1500 mAh replacement battery bought at a phone hut) to 34 hours to dead (new samsung 1800mAh battery.) Nothing else changed.
My point is this:
1. If the above statements about samsung packing in as much as possible are true, why didn't the vibrant have a 1800mAh battery from the start? (hint, it is always about money.)
2. Take a crap 1500 mAh battery, slap a 1800 mAh sticker on it. People that buy these batteries will see an improvement because most generally they are replacing a worn out battery with a new one. Of course you will see an improvement, your worn out stock battery has only (arbitrary number) 600 mAh worth of usefulness left. The replacement is new and is not worn yet. (All arbitrary numbers follow) So, you will still see an improvement if you take a rated 1500mAh battery, that is labeled 1800mAh, but is in actuality only 1000mAh.
So asking if there is another, bigger, better battery for the Nexus made by Samsung, is a very valid question. So:

Because it is a device from 2 years ago (2010) and the S2 is from q3 2011. Maybe two years allowed them to cram more juice into the battery.
Maybe it wasn't viable then, to stick such a large battery, considering the power consumption of the vibrant compared to the S2. Maybe if they did the price would have gone up.
I highly doubt that Samsung would just stick different stickers on the same capacity batteries. maybe you had a defective or a non-original one. There are people that measure this kind of stuff. How much damage would Samsung's image suffer if someone found out that they sell a 1000 mAh battery with different labels and price tags?

"Take a crap 1500 mAh battery" In this case "crap"="non oem"
I figured that would be obvious with my prior "phone hut" comment. I guess not.

I am a big fan of the OEM batteries. I have not tested a non-oem battery that will perform anywhere close to the stated specifications so far.
If you guys find some good battery reviews, tests, etc. please post up.
Keep in mind that comparing a brand new "Craptastic Brand™" battery to your old worn out OEM battery is kind of pointless for getting a feel of the comparative quality/capacity of a battery.

Droid 4 Extended/Aftermarket Battery

Does anyone know of any extended or aftermarket batteries that could work with the Droid 4 by replacing the internal battery?
I understand it is an internal battery, but that does not mean it cannot be removed :good:
You can take it out, but it's not supposed to be removed, so as far as i know no one makes one for the droid 4. Some ppl tried putting in a razr maxx battery, but they then found out that the battery doesn't fit into the same slot. What you can do is get an external battery or maybe you can see if they make cases with battery's in them like they do for the iphone and other devices. Hope i helped.
I have been looking for a case that has an extra battery in it and i cant seem to find one anywhere. If anyone finds one please let me know. I use my phone everything so it would be nice to not have to take my charger with me all the time.

Do Droid 4s share the same battery with a Razr? If so, the Razrs can upgrade to the Razr Maxx battery with some tinkering. I foresee problems finding a bulged backplate for a Droid 4, though.

the mugen site doesn't list the d4. closest thing is the d3 and photon (not the photon q, which looks a lot like a d4), both of which have regular removable batteries, so it doesn't look good for us. esp now that it looks like the droid5 just got leaked... and it doesn't seem to have an easily replaceable battery either.

I just puchased the mugen extended battery. It does add a little more bulk and unable to get a case that will fit the larger door. Other than the power meter not able to show true battery life. It is a software limitation. I do like the longevity of the battery though. My original battery would die while I was asleep after about 5 to 6 hours offBT the charger just sitting idle with no wi-fi or BT on.

My original battery would die while I was asleep after about 5 to 6 hours offBT the charger just sitting idle with no wi-fi or BT on.

hey there! Figured I would chime in on some info concerning extended batts for the D4.. Even though I am not sure that this pertains to the particular model you are looking at, I have found one that works extremely well, and does not need an extended back for the phone. It has thicker cells, and I've gotten more than a day out of it. Given that is not full use of course, but still thats almost unheard of (at least for me) when it comes to the D4. Also, I have to say that I was a bit pretentious at first, because this battery is sourced from china/japan on eBay. Anyways here is your link!

Yeh they have a extended battery 2085 mAh using stock door but the Mugen is 3800mAh which seems super capacity tho the device will become a bit thicker due to expanded door.
I don't mind the expanded door just want to know experience of people who have used it - how long it takes to charge from 0 to 100% and does it almost give double battery life to Droid4 when compared to stock battery...
PLSE PLSE share your experience before I spend $100/-
I bought 3weeks ago a new battery from eBay. It 2100mAh and the battery life is quite better than before. I was charging after 4-5 hours of use and now it around 6-7 hours of use. What kills it for me when it is 1xmode for internet.....because I have flashed over to another carrier. Im quite happy with the battery.
Here a link to the same battery i bought....http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Internal-Replacement-Li-ion-Battery-for-Motorola-Droid-4-XT894-EB41-2100mAh-/321329426209?pt=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Batteries&hash=item4ad0b9ef21

Any particular reason besides the price & expanded door you didn't think of purchasing 3800mAh Mugen ?

I am more keen to go for this as it is lmost double capacity from stock battery...

Just received 6500mA battery

Just ordered and received a 6500 mA extended battery for my Note 2 for $13:
http://www.amazon.com/Extended-Tita...&sr=8-7&keywords=6500+note+2+extended+battery
I was using a QCell 6200 ($24) and this one looked just like it so I gave it a try.
It came with a battery cover that's identifical to the one from Qcell and is a perfect fit. I love the Qcell so I want to give this a try. For me, having a 6200/6500 mA battery is a balance between battery life (longer than stock) and weight (1/3 less weight than Zerolemon 9300).
I put this silicon case on it:
http://www.amazon.com/LiViTech-Extended-Battery-Silicone-Samsung/dp/B00AXV0MXG/ref=pd_bxgy_cps_img_y
Just fully charged it for the 1st time. Will report back.
I'm pretty sure its 6200 mAh, not 6500 mAh. And I was about ready to say "uh, just another generic battery with a questionable quality", until I saw they are sold by Bastexwireless - Zerolemon retailer. That should add some credibility
That was what prompted me to give it a try in the first place. ..

Interesting to hear how it turns out.
I've bought replacement batteries for previous phones in similar casing as that and it turned out to be junk.

Yes, I know. That's why I like to try
Here it is after 1st charge, with 15% left: Just normal web surfiing, some phone calls, texting, ebook reading, light gaming etc...
I think it's better than my Qcell. May be my Qcell 6200mA was just old (almost a year old).

5%/33h21m/13h54m
3%/40h36m/13h48m
6%/46h00m/13h41m
12/8/13, 4th: 10%/37h00m/16h30m
12/10/13,5th : 7%/40h34m/18h36m

Of course ZL has better battery life. It's a 9300 mA while the Qcell is 6200. It's 50% more than the Qcell.

So far, I really like this battery. The battery life is good. Here are some updates:
(the other one I ordered from dx.com last less than 2/3 of this one, even though it also said 6500mA)
% battery left / total time / screen on time
---------------------------------------------------------
5%/33h21m/13h54m
3%/40h36m/13h48m
6%/46h00m/13h41m

12/18/13: 7%/33h /15h50
12/21/13: 10%/33h /15h
12/22/13: 38%/16h47m/8h34
12/24/13: 6%/31h /15h39
12/26/13: 7%/29h /16h

Dang sorry if you got ripped off.
My battery just arrived today and I must say I like it. In person its a lot thinner then people think with some extra juice. I put my extended battery on at 7:15 with 56%(that's how much charge it came with) and now with close to 4 hours later, im at 40% with moderate use. If I had my other battery on and was using it the way I was with this extended battery, my percentage will be around 10%...soo far so good. ill report back later with how it goes
Does anyone have a recommendation for cases for this battery other then the ones stated in the op. I ordered it and I dont like it. Any other suggestions I would gladly appreciate it thanks
anyone tried to run this with battery saver on?
Just curious if it would last even longer if you really tried to squeeze it.
