Sometimes all we need is the stock kernel to go back to when things have screwed up
or sometimes the latest CM/AOKP is not working because "please flash the latest .253 baseband for GSM and NFC to work"
So for those situations no need to download the whole 700 MB FTF.
Download : 10.1.1.A.1.253 FTF with only Kernel and Fotakernel
Download : 10.1.1.A.1.253 FTF with only Baseband

Hi. I am on GingerDX v024 now and i wanted to flash Alfs 8a kernel, and when I did, I stuck at infinite bootloop (Alfs logo>reset>alfs logo...and so on) I flashed then older 8 version, and even stock kernel but it didn't help. Only way to fix it was by flashing it back to stock 2.1 and again install GDX v024. So now there is a question: my baseband is 006, is it the problem that I'm stuck on bootloop after installing a kernel for this ROM? Thanks in advance!

You surely need a newest baseband xxx015. You can update your baseband by PC companion.
Then reinstall the rom, full wipe then flash alfs.
Thanks for reply Can I do this via Flashtool (because Companion doesn't work)? And which .ftf file should I choose? And can I do this on current GDX v024 or flash it back to stock 2.1??
Yes, you can use FlashTool. Download the ftf file from here. Isn't necessary back to stock 2.1

For who cant instal the new firmware 253 with flashtool here an flashzip with stock rom 10.1.1.A.1.253 unbranded.
For instalation copy in your phone, enter in recovery, make a full wipe and then instal.

Does that root method work for 253 firmware?!
hello guys. i updated my c6602 to Stock 4.3 but i want to downgrade to 4.2.2 but i tried to flash 2.67 and .244 and .423 (4.1 android) but .67 and .423 do this error:
28/000/2013 20:00:36 - ERROR - 2 : The system cannot find the file specified.
28/000/2013 20:00:36 - ERROR - Error flashing. Aborted
and this is compelet log
.244 installed but when i want to root it i flash .423 kernel and flash is sucssesfull but kernel doesn't change and devise not root.
i used all of that ftf before it and they are have not any problem.
and i use 0.9.13.0 version off flashtools
what i do?

yes i'm Sure. i used them before and also when i change kernels flash is sucsessfull b ut kernel doesn't change but some features like wifi (my rom is .244 now and i flashed .67 kernels) don't work after flash
also phone doesn't update from update center
Do you did a clean flash?(wiped all datas with flashtool)

Hi, i want to have my c6943 rooted and with cwm recovery. Currently i got this using doomlord kernel, but my digital tv isn't working. So, i want to flash a stock kernel, but i just have the stock ftf firmware. If i extract the ftf, get the meta-inf folder, the kernel.sin and the loader.sin and 7-zip in a .ftf file i can flash it without problem?
Or there is a more elaborated way to create a ftf flashable file?
Also, how can i get cwm recovery with stock firmware?
Don't want to flash stock firmware because i would lose root...
You can flash stock kernel by excluding everything in flashtool, and keeping ONLY kernel.
