[Q] Limited App storage space - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Dear All,
I have updated my note to the official 4.1.2 rom.
However I have found that my app storage space is only 2 GB.
Even though i have a 16gb phone model.
This is way to little for me as I want to install rather large games.
Could someone please advice me on how to be able to increase my app storage?
Kind Regards,
Caleb

Dude.. you get 2 gb to store app and rest is USB storage for data. Search swapping memory card with internal storage and you'll find the solution.

If you think you are going to install too many apps or want to keep less load on that 2GB partition, use the AppMgr. With this, you can move most of the apps (not all apps are movable) to SD (i.e, 11GB which shows as USB Storage).

For larger games, use GL to SD(root).

the 2gb is for app installing only, while the rest of memory is repartitioned in sdcard0 (about 11gb) that is used to store app data
I have about 4 GL games installed in my device and still I have about 6gb free in sdcard0.
Yes if you want to install a lot of space eater games, you need to install some folder mounters app that you can find in Google play store ^-^

Dead Space - Possible to run on P970?

Ever since I got my rooted v20n working, I've been trying to get Dead Space to run.
I've tried using Chainfire3D with each of the 3 drives but I wasn't successful...
The best I've gotten was to the EA loading screen, and then the app crashes!
Any tips or suggestions that might work? Maybe overclocking the device or using an app to fix an issue? (because I have no idea why the game crashes)

i worked it on my opt. black.
How did you manage that?? I'm trying on the 1.1.37 version.
Which version of Dead Space works on the P970??
it worked to me without chainfire 3d. Install, download additional file and play
latest version is actually 1.35. they added power vr support in this version.
it works on cm7 without cf. 1.31 wasn't working.
it's available on market.

At some apps just press swapp...and other apps you need to make a swap size on your sd card,128mb should be enough.[/QUOTE]

Android doesn't support App2sd (for latest android OS i think since ICS)
so u can just install app on internal and store media on external
and i think 11GB is enough to have 4-5 High Quality Game and lots of apps
i had ~30 games on SG3 include at least 5 HD games like NFS, FIFA, six gun, sport car chlngs and .......................
and at least 100 applications
So don't think about space.
>> anyway if u want it So u can Root ur phone and use some apps that merge ur internal with external memory.
But i suggest after root install custom rom and then do it.
u can find how to root and another topic u need if search on threads

The first is cuz' lg chose not to have it, check the changelog for v20 thread on the general section
The RAM i belive is google's project butter
And the update: factory reset is recommended. But not necessary, saving your apps and settings
