I am proud to present to you BeanStalk Builds put together by myself. This is a build composed off of the CM10.1 builds and i have added alot of features on top of it. So you get speed, stability, and ultra customization ability. Many of the additional code additions came from slim ROM and also Derteufels build and have been modified to work with my current setup. A huge thanks to Derteufel and the Slim ROM guys for their work and dedication. Also a big thanks to everyone involved with CM as that is the building stone in this project. Thanks to skyliner33v for the bootanimation and upcoming wallpapers!
I plan on updating this and adding features on a pretty regular basis, so if you happen to like this, keep checking back.

Was hoping this one would have working audio through the car dock (USB audio) but its a no go. Freezes up when hitting play on anything while in the dock.
Wish someone would crack this one for me but I know most don't use the car dock.

Very stable thus far
The only issue I have had so far is I am unable to install a couple of apps, I've included a screenshot of the error I receive, any ideas???

First time I tried rebooting I and it seems to be stuck in a boot loop at the beanstalk screen, probably going to have to reflash I'm guessing?
*UPDATE*
I reflashed after wiping everything and now it won't go past the red 'M' screen, please help!

My phone was stuck at the Beanstalk screen, wiped & reflashed then stuck at the red 'M' screen. Wiped a few more times and finally got it to work and I've since rebooted without issue, and the apps installed fine so who knows.
Also I tried looking in the original thread but couldn't find, is there a way we can change the lock screen options/locations?
By default its unlock, music, messaging, phone, and browser.....can we change these?

This car dock hack was fixed by Skrilax or nadbalak (not me, razrqcom folk), but I have implemented it into Carbon. Just FYI.
timpohladthomas, you should be able to cherry-pick it pretty easily, although the hack of course applies to frameworks/base IIRC.

Thanks for the work.
Can we use the GooMgr just as in the original Infuse rom?

I have not posted my stuff on Goo.im yet but once it's there u should be able to download using goomanager

This looked pretty great, but like all custom ROMs, my signals were weaker than with stock. Since we tend to live in a fringe area, I went back to stock.

I tried your CarbonRom a few days ago and it was not working for me. Downloading the latest nightly right now to see if I was mistaken.

Tim, does the rom tweaker do anything for the quality of how I sound to a caller when I use in car Bluetooth? Callers say I sound terrible on Bluetooth and I'm not sure if it's the car or the ROM.

[AOSP]LiquidMetal for the Incredible
First I'd like to thank BigRushDog for his ROCK SOLID Metal build that this RC1 Incredible build is based off of. I also want to thank Sac23 and bmxerkid954 for allowing me to port their build to the Incredible, that I used for previous versions of this rom. BIG Thanks to Koush and the Cyanogen team for their CM6 files and all that they do. Thanks to Koush for his kernel and too many contributions to name. Special thanks to gmichaelow for answering my silly questions. Special thanks to IncredibleDoes for the original Liquid port. Special Thanks to ALL of my testers for their time and trust that their phones wouldn't get bricked.
If I forgot anyone, it wasn't intentional. PM me and I will update this. Oh yeah, thanks to ME for bringing this to my Dinc brothers and sisters!

BigRushDog's thread is here.
Sac23 and bmxerkid954's thread is here.
This ROM is based on Android 2.2 (Froyo) and is built from the Android Open Source Project Code (AOSP) With the Acer Liquid Metal UI on top.
Known Issues
Proximity Sensor doesn't turn the screen off immediately, but prevents buttons from being pressed when the phones against your face and eventually does turn the screen off. (Works perfectly on LiquidLight)
Videos not playing (HIGH priority for me right now) (Fixed)
Mobile Network Settings FCs (Caused by Uncapped Data Mod - See post #2 for a patch to remove this mod)(Uncapped is not default. Will post flashable zip)
Location and Security FC's (Crazy workaround: Rename Phone.apk to Phone.apk.bak, reboot, go into menu and make changes, rename back and reboot - thanks iceman99393)
Internal Memory not mounted (Fixed)
No LEDs for notifications (I'll see what I can do. Any help is appreciated)
LED flashes orange when charging and turns solid orange when fully charged
No TV Out
Changing the Dolby Mobile settings could throw you for a loop.
CarHome doesn't play nice and will not be included.
Light sensor (Rom includes Brightness widget)
PLEASE READ - Tips & Tricks:
To Drag Icons to Other Screens Faster
Drag the icon to the numbers at the bottom of the app drawer
To Dial *228 for Activation or PRL update (*228 FC's on some AOSP roms)
Dial *228+ (long press the numeral zero key to add the plus sign)
To Hide the Whole Dock or Half of it
Drag ALL of your icons for the launcher into the app drawer and the notification bar will rest at the bottom of the screen.
Leave just 4 icons in the top row of the launcher and the dock will become half size.
To Do Normal Reboot/Recovery Reboot
Use Quick Boot app.
To Make the Weather More Accurate
Open your widgets app (either with the icon or by long pressing the home button, while the screen is unlocked).
Long press the weather widget and drag it to the trash can in the bottom left.
Hit the "+" button and add weather again. It will let you search for your specific city.
If You don't Like all of the Vibration Feedback, You Can Turn it Off
For Buttons: Settings-->Sound-->Haptic feedback
For Stock Keyboard: Settings-->Language and Keyboard-->XT9 Text Input-->Preferences-->Vibrate on Keypress
If You Don't Like the Transitions, You Can Turn Them Off
Settings-->Display-->Animation-->Some or None
If You Don't Like the Launcher, Install Your Favorite Launcher (FIRST!!!!) and THEN Change it
Settings-->Applications-->User Interface. After rebooting it will ask your to choose you launcher (DO NOT CHOOSE LAUNCHER2) (Thanks cooljames2186 for finding this)
If you don't install another launcher before doing this, you may end up in a bootloop
If You Select Custom Wallpapers and No Longer Want Them Displayed in the Wallpaper (Home Decor) app
Use Root Explorer (or your favorite file manager) and navigate to here: /data/data/com.acer.android.breeze.launcher/wallpapers/user/
Delete any of the numbered folders (i.e. 1, 2, etc)and they will immediately disappear from the wallpaper app.
What's Included
MMS (Send/Receive)
720P Camcorder
8MP Camera
GPS works
Bluetooth works (Wiimote should work but I can't test that)
Working Wi-fi
Wireless Tether (I've tested with included kernel, after the initial WirelessTether update from the market)
Koush's kernel from CM6.1 (Thanks Koush!)
Gingerbread Keyboard is the default
Google Talk
AdFree
Brightness Widget
Nemo Player
T9 Dialing like SENSE!!!
MORE Acer Bloatware Removed
Zipaligned and Deodexed
VERY Fast System (Please allow it to settle down after first flashing)
New widgets
Verizon apps show up in the market
and much, much, more..
Instructions
Download the Rom and the Phone Fix to your SD card.
Nandroid
Wipe, Wipe, Wipe again.. Oh yeah.... WIPE!
Flash the rom zip via recovery.
Boot it fully (You won't get a FC if you hit back arrow at region selection, but the FC doesn't hurt anything).
Go through set up or skip though it.
Flash the phone fix via Rom Manager or recovery
Set up your Gmail account, let it sync, get your updates from the market.
It may be sluggish after your first boot. Please give it 15 mins or more (depending on how much media you have on internal memory and your sdcard) because the media scanner is going through all of your media, adding it into it's database and creating thumbnails.
Enjoy!

This is basically the same as LiquidMetal with a working proximity sensor that turns the screen off immediately. It doesn't have the weird orange artifact box in the email app or browser (see screenshot below). It's also about 20MB smaller in file size. I added the regular music app with it's widgets that work well. Remove the default music widget and add One of the stock ones (i.e. 4x2, etc). Besides that it has the same known issues as LiquidMetal as well as a widget screen FC from time to time that doesn't hurt anything.
****DISCLAIMER: By downloading you agree that I will not, nor will anyone else but you, take responsibility for the results of you flashing any of the files below.

Man this thing is sweet! It'll take some getting used to, but the new UI is pretty neat. Definitely something different. The status bar on the botom is something I've never seen before. It does actually make it easier to reach. Great job man
everything is working great on my SLCD was wondering is there a way to make app drawer on home screen bigger and can i add widgets to the homescreen not lockscreen... UI is different with this one i like it alot also my battery light seems to be blinking orange instead of staying solid while charging not sure if that something to be worries but or not but thats about the only thing i saw that was different ill let you know if anthting else changes

Quick Intro
Ok, this is my little area for all the mods and tweaks Ive been doing specifically for ARHD users.
You may notice some are posted in the mods section of the ARHD thread, obviously mike cant post every single mod so they are located here.
As Im a ARHD user, all the original sources are taken directly from mikes rom to ensure compatibility with the latest ARHD. As I use these mods myself, its usually uptodate or pretty soon after
Current Source: 6.3.x
Thread has not been updated yet. Keep an eye in ARHD thread for some releases until I get time to update thread.
When a new base is released by HTC we will have to check if theres been any changes to the apks and frameworks. If there is then some of the mods will need updating. If not then they are still good to be used on the new base
This converting takes time, patience and lots of red bull and cigerettes. Please dont keep hassling mike or other members of the team for them. They will get done.

Notes:
Please, please, please leave feedback! It greatly helps in making them compatible for everyone and throw as much creative criticism at me as possible!
Im not a dev or a proper tweaker but Im learning so cant really offer much support as of yet. They are also not really for general consumption as I do everything with ARHD so theres no guarantee Itll work on other roms.
I will add as well that Im a complete newbie to this and its my way of learning for myself so not everythings going to be perfect
The clock mod I personally use has graphics from a clock by trinityeon. Out of respect for his work, I obviously wont be using these in any of my mods.

These are simple Rosie mods to give you either 4x4 or 5x5 app drawer with a selection of transparency to fit in with the scheme of my other mods.
Ive included a 30% option as a fully transparent drawer can look rather messy dependent on screen below it.
This time round Im only doing Rosies without the page drawer divider. It cuts my workload in half and it seems the general consensus is that the divider sucks anyway

Note - Full Transparency uses 30% background for Notifications and QuickSettings, otherwise it becomes hard to read and looks a right mess!
Notes:
The Sense 'curve' on the carrier bar is still there to give it the stock feel
The Sense 'grip' bar is untouched to fall in line with Rosie (easyly changeable)
I spent many hours (5+) just playing with different color combinations to get the perfect mixture of transparency and readability on the notifications bar on both light and dark backgrounds.

One Click Menu Mod

This increases the amount of menu items that will be shown on screen when pressing the 'Menu' button.
Its systemwide and will work with any app that has more than 6 menu items.
Screenies show two examples.

Non-Paginated App Drawer Scrolling (Froyo Style)
This removes the 'pages' from the app drawer similar to the old Froyo style.
Does not include Rosie.apk so the page divider line will still be there but the side bar wont.
Transparent Settings Mod
Screenshots
This stock Settings.apk has been slightly modified to use Androids built in transparency style which will allow the showing of your wallpaper (live or normal) as the background for the majority of settings.

Theme Companion Mods - WIP
Im a big fan of all hestheones themes and of course like to play.
This is a collection of small mods Ive done designed to go hand-in-hand with the themes.
Obviously, these are what Ive done for myself and am sharing so they may not be to everyones taste
Dark Facebook 1.52 with Large Widget Arrows and different Icons
All this is hestheones work, Ive just changed the widget arrows back to the large ones for us fat fingered ones out there Ive also had a go at my own FB icon for the widget and app drawer
RevoHD
HoneyHD
CodeRED
If you are already using FB, backup just the data with TB as you may get a FC when installed. If you do, restore and itll be fine. I have no idea why and it only happens to a small number (including me).
Twitter 2.1.2 with Large Arrows and Different Icons (09/08/11)
Ive used the latest Twitter.apk and added the theme to it along with changing around the icons to fit my taste. Again, 99% of the graphic work is done by hestheone Also adjusted the widget text size to accommodate the text color better.

I honestly dont know mate, Ive just tried them all again after flashing 510 and they work straight of the bat for me.
Have you tried removing the clock then re-adding it?

The call recording all depends on the kernal you are using. I believe that LeeDroid and MDJs kernals both support and are compatible with ARHD at the moment.
Congrats on your thread. I've followed your posts in Mike's ARHD thread and will be back here often to see what you do.

Awesome, thanks I appreciate it
Im just finishing off these S3 Rosies then going to do a 30% transparent one so there is three varying degrees of transparency for people to choose from
Then my next challenge is to look at transparency in the app drawer and possibly the notification bar!
I'm not entirely sure why I'm reading this, as I don't use Rosie! I just saw you had your own thread and though "cool!" But it's great to see you working on this and I'll be following with interest anyway. Nice work mate. Kudos to you.
Hi Dude,
I downloaded your ARHD Sense 2.1 5 drawer app from revolution thread. Cleared cache and flashed in recovery..but I do not get the 5 drawer app option (still 4 drawer) ?

Sorry for the wait, dozed off!
Ive updated the script a little to wipe dalvik cache, as your right. i just reflashed it over my own current mods and it stayed 4 drawer, wiped dalvik and reflashed it then it became 5.
Would you mind trying again for me?
I really appreciate the feedback as well
;edit; Just used the updated restore to stock, rebooted then the updated 2.1 5 drawer and it seems to have fixed it
Tried again as you suggested, still not getting 5 drawer colum !?

InstructionsThe files linked to in this post are based on and intended for use on, CM10.1 Nightlies from codeworkx. Thanks!
UPDATE: There are files posted based on SlimBean builds as well. Thanks cordell12 for bringing that to us! Just make sure you are downloading the right mod for your rom!
Simply flash the appropriate zip for your device/rom version in Recovery, Reboot and enjoy the extra screen real estate, and easy to use buttons and notifications! (NOTE: If flashing on a totally clean installation of CM (ie: no user data/factory reset) please boot into CM once, then reboot to recovery and flash TabletUI.zip)
You need to pick the right version for your device model and CM build. The numbers in the file name that precede "-TabletUI" indicate the CM build date, "*-MMDD-TabletUI". Please do not report issues if you are using mismatched CM and TabletUI builds.(Things tend to change fast in the nightlies, which is awesome, but these changes can cause issues if you try to flash an older version of this mod.)Update(03-22)These mods can now be produced for any CM10.1 rom for this device using the Auto-Patcher for Linux/Mac users. Here is the auto-patcher download page.
For users of Windows check out kobik77's ApG. I haven't used it myself but from what I read it is very simple to use GUI, and builds all the resources required itself, and syncs with Mateor's Auto-Patcher on GitHub so you always get all the latest updates! It looks like you just drag your rom into the ApG window, pick your mods and let it do the work for you!!:laugh:I am not going to be updating this post with all the mods people are sharing any longer. Your best bet if you like this mod is to get yourself set up with Auto-Patcher or ApG from the links above. If you want to share your created tabletUI mods here that is great, I just won't be linking to them in this post any more. If you are going to share just remember to name your files in such a way that the rom and device they are intended for is clear. Happy Patching!

After your tablet is finished booting you are probably going to want to install a 3rd party launcher, since trebuchet doesn't look so good after applying this mod (or see post #2 for instructions on how to get trebuchet looking like it should). My personal favourite is Nova Launcher, due to its speed, size, and customizability.
Note: If you use multiple users on your tablet you need to read this. If you have 2 users enabled and leave one account for another with notifications still active they will remain visible in the other users notification area. You can click the notification, but it doesn't do anything (until you switch to the other user, then whatever the notification would normally launch is launched automatically). If you need to use multiple users this mod is probably not ideal for you at this point, sorry. Thanks Faunotod for pointing this out.
Thanks To:
The whole Cyanogen team!
codeworkx - For giving us CM10.1 on our Tabs
mateorod - for His Autopatcher that made this possible.
kobik77 for ApG

If You Want Trebuchet (Launcher) To Look Like It Should Follow These Instructions
atifsh said:
no matter how much i want this, this have some quirks that should be iron out, like you have to enable stretch to screen to fix out of alignment, but than the icon grid is fixed and cannot be changed and is too close to each other in portrait mode.

If you want your launcher to look the way it did before enabling tabletUI then follow these instructions copy/pasted from my P51XX thread:
(step 1 was just to download my TabletUI zip)
2. Download the Xposed Installer.
3. Download Xposed App Settings.
4. Make a backup - best advice I can give when doing anything like this.
(step 5 was to flash TabletUI update, but you are already using it)
6. Boot in and install XposedInstaller then launch it and tap Install/Update, then reboot.
7. Rename the Xposed App Settings file from .zip to .apk and install it. Then launch XposedInstaller and tap the Modules tab at the top then click on the tick box next to Xposed App Settings. Reboot yet again.
Ok so now that you've got the Xposed Framework all set up all you need to do is launch Xposed App Settings, scroll down the list and tap on Trebuchet, enable the toggle switch then set DPI: 160 and Screen (dp,px): 600x1024. Now tap Save and then the menu icon in the top right, then Settings. Now Clear data for Trebuchet.
When you get back your homescreen should look like this:
You will have to set up all your launcher related options again, but you won't have to use Stretch screens anymore!
Thanks to Rovo89 and Tungstwenty for the awesome Xposed Framework & App Settings!
Thanks !

I am going to try and spread the Tablet UI Love to you 10 inchers out there, but I won't be able to test because my GF has a deathgrip on her baby!!
I'll prolly start a new thread for it in the 10.1 section.
Edit: Post up now!
I'm on stock JB right now , but anyway thanks for this :good:
Using this on p3113 with CM10.1 latest nightly 2-18. Works great! Just one suggestion......can you make the time, signal, and battery icons a little larger?? Some of us are getting old and have trouble seeing the small stuff!!
Many Thanks (and yes, I hit the "thanks" button!)

Thank you. I am glad you are enjoying it!
I know what you mean about getting older but I didn't do any theming of CM myself, i used automated scipts/patches to create this modification of the way the system behaves. To be honest, I'm not much into theming, but if I find a solution to this I will share it.
You could switch to the ring style battery icon, it is much easier to see how much battery you have left! Do this by Settings/System/Status bar/Battery status style.
Thanks again for the kind words!

Try using Nova Launcher....it seems to fix all the alignment and icon problems.
So what is now the official situation in Android for tablets graphical user interface?
Isn't this the old and now abandoned Android interface for tablets?
Or is it just that 7" models gets the Android interface what CM10.1 ships and 10" would get this one?
As I don't know why did Android lose its dual-panel settings and is now forced to have two-panel setup for 7" tablets?

b/c nobody else is giving out updated Beanstalks for N4, and because I love it! I've been building for my own use and since krazee's build wasn't updated since end of April I have to share. It would be wrong to hoard this gem.
Of course, to make it different and worthwhile I added my own contributions. Please try and see what you think.

Google Voice isn't available in Canada so I can't test. This is based on BeanStalk's latest source as of 2013/07/10. The git commit logs are available linked at bottom of OP.
Awesome! Feedback if you have any yet .... ?

Thanks for trying an alt kernel - I've been using Hells mostly w/sweep2wake and it's killer fast and smooth. Please share your Anarkia Faux experience!
Woooooooooooot
"Scroll elasticity options".
this is the first time i ever see an option for this.
After a few hours I can say really a great Rom, all features we need and more
I think I will stay for longer on it ( I am a flash junkie but it's really great )

Thanks for bringing this rom back to life! I run beanstalk on my note 2 and it has cured my flashing addiction on that phone. And I'm glad I can run it on my n4 now too!

That's EXACTLY why I did it! It's been the best ROM on my Note II after using all the rest so I had to have it on the N4. When you're flashing 20+ times per day Aroma installer makes the process a lot nicer too. Now I can test a dozen features with the same build.
Future plans:
-modem options, LTE if it's feasible without clobbering too much (eg camera autofocus)
-ad blocking
-more performance enhancements under the hood
-open to suggestions

I know it doesn't make any sense.
But as you've taken a positive step so just sharing and asking.
I've used almost all the roms cooked for N4.
But at the end i have always restored "frosty jellybean" backup just because it is super fast and almost stock.
Basically the reason why I'm sharing this is for you to have a look at its coding and find out the reason why it is quick.
If you can, give it a try and you can easily judge the difference.
If not possible then that's no problem because i can understand how difficult it is to maintain a rom
P.s sadly the dev stopped maintaining the rom and left it feature less :/
All i wanted in that rom is navigation bar customisation and keyboard softkey to enter, rest it is perfect to be a daily driver.

Have you tried this rom yet? It is easily the best rom for the at&t note 2. I'm sure it will be just as good on the n4. I just flashed it and set it all up. Can't wait to test the battery life. That's the only reason I keep using my note 2. But I do love the nexus.

Yup i already have mate.
It has some good features, and the battery life is epic with joker kernel.
Had to try something, thats why flashed another rom.
Else i am not giving negative feedback.
I'll definitely flash this rom again soon.
But it was just my curiosity, as I've been looking for a dev who atleast can have a look at that rom's code.
Just to find out the reason why that rom is quick.

Oh ok, it is my favorite rom on my note 2. So joker kernel gives some good battery? I will have to give that kernel a try. I think I chose AK kernel. But I'm looking for whatever will give me the best battery.

Since I'm limited to 8 "Thanks!" per day I'll just post it. Thanks! for checking my build and giving feedback.
I've tried Hells, Joker, _motley+ and love 'em all. Also Bricked is good but not as fast/batterywise as these newer ones. With a bit of undervolting (see Trickster Mod app included) we get speed and longevity too.
And a tip for better speed if you choose the VRTheme option:

I am not responsible for anything that happens as a result of using this.

Nice work! I'll give this a try tomorrow. Quick question: what is the quick boot mod? I've yet to see anything on that. Boot on this device is already insanely fast.
Also a suggestion to add the mod for varying sizes of navigation bar.

nav and status bar gone
I used this and everything worked great but the nav and status bar are now gone on my phone. I was running the tiny nav mod before flashing it so that may have played a part. Great work though! thanks for your efforts :]

I'm taking a look into it. Do you remember which option you selected for the System UI?
It seems like it was one without the menu swap.
EDIT: Bug is fixed in A1.1
Any way to get a 4g toggle?

you got it! It was the turn my nav and status black option. I perfer the menu key over the recent apps since I use the menu key constantly and never really use the recent apps feature ever in android. Thanks for the fast fix

No Problem.
I'm almost ready to release 1.2 which has a few extra features. One of them is navigation bar height.
Is there a way to instead of hiding the location icon it is made into 1 pixel? I think I remember someone doing something similar to this for the S4.
1.1 works great
No problems with 1.1 so far. I had to return to stock and reroot and flash twrp so I used your tweak set to flash most of what it has because other than the recent apps button, I use them all. I also flashed the nav bar size change in conjunction with the black nav and status bar mod and it works fine. I haven't tested hotspot yet but I'm sure it works. Thanks for this. Hopefully over time as we get more tweaks and mods this installer will grow! Very well done and professionally presented.
This is an awesome tool! My first reaction when flashing this for the first time was "holy crap!"
That being said, I have one request. Can you please add an option to "undo" or "revert to stock" for the included mods? Sometimes I don't like a mod I tried and restoring a nandroid backup is a bit extreme for something like a boot animation.
Thanks again for putting this together!

Thanks! 1.2 is pretty well finalized, it has stock options for any softkeys mods. I'll try to add some more stock restore features for 1.3 which will probably be bumped from alpha to beta.

One thing I would love and I think a lot of people here would also love is some way to flash new status bar icons. The existing ones are way too big, so some way to make them smaller or perhaps having the ability to flash some aosp looking icons would be awesome.
maybe add a couple more boot animations if you find some really nice ones. I personally don't know of any off the top of my head. I like the google edition s4 boot animation. But i'm sure some really neat ones will drop soon with the new stuff coming, like the n5.
It would be neat to be able to get rid of the toggles on the notification window and have a quick panel view. I'm sure thats hard but I'm just tossing ideas out
I got a great idea! An automatic debloater for verizon users! I have many things frozen but I keep having issues I'm trying to troubleshoot, might be better for a more advanced user to debloat for me
another thing that would be awesome is more options for the nav bar size. The tiny is too small for me but the mid is a bit too big. So maybe like 5 options on the bar rather than 3.
I havent flashed the 3 dot menu thingy but I'm assuming it's to make it show within apps but it would also but cool to have the option to place it on the left or right side of the nav bar because if I had that then I would use the recent apps button.
Options to remove the nav bar and options to flash pie or lmt would be cool
An option to flash a gesture sidebar like AOKP has with ribbons or like glovebox in the app would be valuable.
I also would love to have recovery built into the actual reboot menu.
Man! I could keep going now that I'm really thinking about it I don't know if you can even do most of this, you just asked the question so I thought I would attempt an answer. What you have done is awesome already so thanks!
a mirror would be appreciated as i also cannot download this on my mac. thanks in advance
