Bro u may got the point, just happen too sudden...my phone never drop and never root or install custom FW...
Just hope there is file that can totally recover phone..like repair GDFS/Baseband/Imei...

If u loose your imei then there is nothing u can do unless u have TA backup. Sony Service is the only way, hopefully. U also cannot flash someone elses TA! remeber! It could also be damaged sim slot.

Yes,i totally understand it,now only hope is waiting some repair file release..

Can u not send it to sony repair center? I doubt that there is going to be other solution. Im not sure but TA is heavily secured so the only thing u can do is dump and flash. Correct me if im wrong.

Try flashing this ftf file it only has the baseband in it... Just put the ftf in the firmware folder of flash tool and flash it. You won't loss any data.

sorry bro still no solution yet...i might try using Setool tomorrow..

I have a very similar problem as the OP.My phone froze, got stuck in a bootloop & even after flashing several Stock ROMS & even restoring my Backup TA I'm getting nowhere.Sometimes I get a Factory Reset Screen on start up which asks me to "WAIT FOR POWER BUTTON" but nothing happens n then the phone reboots.I have almost given up hope & I think I might have bricked my device.Plz Help.
P.S. I have not Unlocked my Bootloader nor installed any custom ROMs on it.Only rooted n installed CWM recovery.

I have heard of this..its your efs File got corrupted...and you can only corrupt it during flashing however that's weird it was corrupted during an official update..I don't think the bootloader was updated on 4.2.2... Never the less if there is not a backup with the signature Intact you have no choice but to send it in....sorry

Can i use X8_E15_2.1.1.C.0.0_generic.7z to flash my E15a? What's the difference between 2.1.1.c.0.0 and 2.1.1.a.0.6? Which is better if im gonna root my phone? Tnx
Relax, it happened to me before. Try taking out your battery, then open PCC click on software support. Click update and when they say no phone recognised click repair phone. Once its done preparing and askes you to hold back button while inserting usb cable, you put in the battery and immediately hold back button and insert usb cable. keep holding back button until something happens. Done

I Flashed my phone using this stock rom "X8_E15_2.1.1.C.0.0_generic" and baseband "X8_E15a_2.1.1.A.0.6_Baseband_015". The result is my model number becomes e15i and it's suppose to be e15a

Yes, BUT ...
If you have an UNLOCKED boot loader be sure to DESELECT everything but system.sin, data.sin, cache.sin

To flash the baseband you would need to have an unlocked boot loader.
The ROM ID is rather meaningless when you actually run on a E15a baseband. If you want to correct that "cosmetical" problem edit the build.prop and change all E15i to E15a

Guys, PCC/SEUS is plain crap. The ONLY thing it is good for is to have the drivers installed, but that's all.

I read somewhere that e15a & e15i actually have different operating radio frequencies. Ergo, you could end up with a smartphone which truly works - but without the "phone" capability

[Q] [HELP] Sony Ericsson X8 Bootloop

Two week ago when i played radio from an application on my device while charging it, suddenly my device reboot and reboot again...
Then i was trying reset all data but the problem still exist...
So i followed some guide from this forum by rooting and flashing it using flashtool and using new firmware from provide link ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19684920#post19684920 and http://www.mediafire.com/?d3pobqqc3py66#4c02265ox4l1r )
and the problem was still the same, reboot and reboot again, so i tried using PCC and SEUS but it didn't change anything..
Lately, when i charge my device, it didn't reboot, but when i didn't charge the phone, on some point my device reboot and reboot again and the battery went down to +/- 2-15%
What is really happen to my device ?? Is it battery problem or RAM problem ???
Sorry for my bad english, i am a newbie in this forum...

Using PC Companion: Connect your phone to your PC and turn it on. Look around the update phone section of PC Companion for an option called "Repair your phone". Just follow the steps and your phone will be in working order pretty soon

Sony Ericsson X8 Bootloop
Hey I will tell you what to do.
First of all install Sony Ericsson Update Service or SEUS. Just Google it and you can find it easily!
Now connect your phone to your computer via USB cable.
Start SEUS.
Then follow the on-screen instructions.(You will be asked to select your phone model, update or repair your phone etc)But its easy!!!!!
Then leave the rest to SEUS.
It will first repair your phone, then download the stock rom and kernel and also the baseband and will automatically install them.
After that you will have your X8 on stock rom,it will be updated to the latest baseband and kernel.
Hope it works for you.

For my case, it will bootup with 1.6 stock rom, the baseband will be stated unknown, but it still can call and receive SMS...
Any rom that is above 2.1 won't be able to boot, that include stock 2.1 and any custom rom...
It only can be repaired by SE i think (or maybe JTAG )...
So in the end i gave up the phone and sold it at a cheap price to a friend and he took it to SE for repair, the phone comes back with stock 2.1 ROM
but the camera and vol button are not working, most probably damaged by the repair guy in SE...
Btw, any one knows what causes the baseband to gone like that?

Flashed X8 using X10 FTF from flashtool

Hi all!
I did a big mistake some days ago.... I was updating my X8 from GingerDX 28 to 29 and some problem occured that my X8 didn't boot anymore, so I tried to flash with SEUS and PC Companion to get back the original ROM... But they doesn't work either. So I tried to start again, but this time I did some stupid, I used the X10 ftf from Flashtool to flash my X8!!! After that, it doesn't turn on, dont even light the LED when charging or connected using USB to PC. If a press turn on button in the top, it doesn't do anything and doesn't vibrate... Connecting using USB, windows doesn't identify that my X8 is there...
What can a do? Did I kill my X8?!?!?
Sorry my english...
Mauricio

You either hard bricked it(I don't think so) or its just out of battery.

Make FTF Dump From X8
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to create a dump from a X8 that is currently in use, with the phones complete data (apps + info + settings )
in effect, a nandroid for use with Flashtool ?
I am thinking of using this method in replacement of nandroids because of the recovery being stored in the system partition and I have had problems with them before - usually MD5 mismatch errors.

You can make flashtool .sin/.ftf files from nandroid backups. But these flashtool packages will work only with unlocked bootloader/patched loader, because you can make the .sin headers but can't reproduce the security signatures, so with locked bootloader better if you forget it...

Thanks pilu1978
I tried unlock bootloader before, using the main guide on here, but it kept bricking ?
The build is lower than the number advised to not use so I don't know what happened. I just had to keep trying, then recovering with SEUS.
Any help mate would be amazing as I am sick of being stuck on Stock 2.1-update1 and stock kernel, it limits the phones abilities so much!! argh!
hey
flash naa kernel for x8

Ok, first of all when I buy the phone Xperia Z (C6603/L36h) it work good, but after few days don't recognize the sim card for good.. I don't know if it mean somethings or if because I cut my sim to microsim but I does for good.. After some reboot it rework without ploblems. So it was a temporary problem (30 mins).. Ok second, I unlocked my bootloader and then I flash this ROM -> PAC-ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2208249 this version -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=1774 and then the gapps. All work fine because I does with other phones, after few days the phone start to reboot loop, but after some reboot it end after an hour like.. but start to recognize the sim and not, like he want.. like a mad.. after 1 days start to reboot loop like the video so after bootanimation the phone stay on, but after 30 secs reboot and again and again, I stopped this with POWER+VOL UP. I try to flash these stock because I don't know which use:
1) C6603_10.1.1.A.1.253_GLOBAL_unbranded_LTE -> After This I Try PC COMPANION (So I have to relock the booloader) but nothing SUS too
2) C6603_10.1.A.1.434_UK unbranded -> This won't work like the video so it start and black screen, the app system crash
3) C6603_10.3.1.A.0.244_Generic CE
4) C6603_10.3.1.A.0.244_Generic_DE
5) C6603_10.3.1.A.2.67_Generic UK
Ok. And now tell me exactly how do you flash with FlashTool.

Yes but you do not need exactly this firmware. Every generic firmware is the same. So you can download generic sweden or generic uk or whatever.
Edit: i think it is a hardware problem. Because you wipe all datas, made a clean flash and that more than once. But wait a bit, maybe a person which had the same prob can say it you. Or go and read a bit in the pac thread.

Yep it is very likely a hardware problem.
As this does not happen to other users.
Rather send your Z™ in repair.

After 1 days of researching Thanks to my SI I found the real original firmware and by another guide I downloaded the firmware by pc companion.. So now the problem is just one.. My sim card if I don't put the sim reboot because still searching, if I put a sim don't recoinize it and say "insert the rim and reboot" but ask me the pin of sim O.O, but if I turn THE FLIGHT MODE don't reboot and the sim work, like I can Import my contacts etc.. so the sim work too, the phone too , what's the problem then? O.O
up
Same issue with me. 1st, no sim error. After few days, its start to shutdown itself. But still can on. After that stuck at sony logo. Maybe radio related issue because it wont shut itself in recovery cwm nor twrp. But if I booting as usual, after several second it shutdown. Btw, production week 13W13

I wouldn't root the phone if you don't need it. Simply download a stock .ftf file and flash it via flashtool, this will NOT void your warranty
I too got this problem suddenly, did resetting the phone, flashed using flashtool & repaired using Sony PCC but to no avail.
Is it a hardware problem ?
Help me guys.

I unlocked the bootloader. No success. Installed Kitkat. No success. Just now sent it to service centre after restoring back to 4.3 & locking the bootloader

This happened to me.
I flashed stock and everything was good, I decided to lock the bootloader as I wanted OTA updates. After I locked the bootloader I noticed my Wi-Fi wouldn't turn on. After half an hour of searching and replying to posts I was told to re-flash the whole stock FTF and wipe everything and it worked!

didntask you to unlock tho,
was check what might cause it.
if it is caused by unlocking bootloader, most likely TA backup will solve the problem?

For 2 days I flashed at least 5-6 ftf & 1 kitkat firmware; still my wifi & bluetooth refused to switch on. I think my phone's problem probably is hardware. It's presently in service centre. Awaiting a call from them.

Running into the same problem here. Did Sony ever provide a more elegant solution rather than wipe everything and install again?
