Hi guys, I'm curently flashing stock rom. But i cannot sign in into facebook & they say "an error occured during sign in. Please try again later." What should I do? Please help. Sorry for my bad english

Hi ,
This is such a common problem ...with a simple situation refer to the below link :

1.Download the certificates
2.Extract the same to a folder
3.Copy the contents of the folder to Root >>system/etc/security folder and your problem should be solved .
4.You may additionally need to change the permission all files to rw-r--r--
remember to mount r/o - r/w
This is not my work .But I had the same problem and the same worked for me twice Cheers

I want this application back because it´s really easy to post something to the facebook wall. Could you please someone copy this application from the system and put it here for download for me?
EDIT: Please I need it :/ the installer apk from /system/app would be just fine

I tried it, it doesn´t copy anything.
Try to download it from Romkitchen as an update.zip then flash it with CWM!
quick question Gerusz,
when i goto romkitchen, click on galaxy s, then on generate, then on the apps tab, then select only flash and go, it tells me that if i dont select a launcher my phone wil be unusable. How to i create an update.zip that ISN"T trying to replace my entire ROM?

I know this is an old thread, but just thought that you guys on darky ROM should know that all of these apps are available and installed on your phone on your SD card. They will be in a folder for darkyROM and they will be saved in system/apps within that folder. You use and always should use the darkyROM tool available from the market and it will add or remove any system app you want and it backs them up (so if you remove something you shouldn't you can re-install again) and also it does the same for user apps too. It has now been suceeded by the darkyOTA application though which provides Over The Air updates for ROM related stuff. All support and info is located on the darkyROM forums to check out

I conducted in full accordance with tutorials, my phone was originally Android 2.3.4.. . . . .

I have mounted SD card,but the error still appear...............
Either the file is corrupted or your sd-card has defects. Or maybe your SD-Card is full.
Try using other sd-card. If it persists, try extracting the zip file in PC, see if you can do it.

try disabling the script assert and signature verification in cwm recovery it might work

try google apps package download it extract it and place all the apk files in /system folder apps will get installed cobfigure your google account and then run the market
First install the GoogleServiceframework,
then try copy the market app to /system/app use Root Explorer,then make lt like this:
Read Write. Execute
Owner y. y
Group. y
Others. y
Then reboot your Android.......

Hello all,
Noob here. been trying for days not to backup my x8 but keep getting the following error message in xrecovery: E: can't access /tmp/recovery.log If anyone can help I'll be there best friend FOREVER! I've followed all of the tutorials out there but to no avail.
PLEASE HELP!!!
Have you tried using the xrecovery automatic installer you will need es file explorer or root explorer to mount the system folder writable then run the automatic installer. I am asuming you have rooted your device search for the installer on XDA/Google. More instructions is on the official thread. I really hope i helped!

Well, I hope dasingletoon is enjoying his updated device.
As embarrassed as I am to admit it, here is what I've done:
Created an empty file under /tmp/ named recovery.log, made sure it has all R/W it requires and... upgraded.

I have the above phone and many times when i try to move a folder to phone/android/obb it says its write protected.
I have tried to use root explorer with no luck.

You clicked the button in the top right hand corner on root explorer to allow it write permission?

In the top left it says mount as r/w or r/o
If i select r/w and try to delete a file it says "delete failed"
Can anyone please help me with this?

Im sure it was directory bind that was write protecting the file.
I accidentally delete root (/) folder through TWRP , then after I change my firmware , and now every thing work perfectly but there is no appearance of 1st start up setting screen ( I.e change language , time , add account etc)
Is this problem occurs due to deleting root folder or by other means??
And how to solve this??

look for a similar phone in your area and copy his root folder (the one that you removed)..
root permission is needed to the phone your copying from..
paste it on your phone and restore its pernissions.. via ES File Explorer etc..
