HTC One screen no longer aligned correctly . - Sprint HTC One (M7)

Hello guys I have a problem that I can't seem to fix and its really annoying me . My One's screen slanted to the right and no longer aligned correctly . This problem just happened about 30 minutes ago I was running illusion ROM and while browsing on the stock browser I clicked full screen. About a minute after browsing in full screen I noticed my LCD looked a little weird so I turned full screen off. I proceed to go back to my home screen and all of my widgets and icons are slanted to the right as if their gonna fall off the screen . I quickly restored to my stock sense backup and the problem was even more pronounced the status bar on the left side of my screen was normal width and the right side looked skinny . Can anyone please help me with a way I can fix this ?

Try taking it to a sprint store. Sounds like a hardware defect to me

Alignment problems

My screen constantly goes out of alignment.
I have to realign it 10-12 times a day and sometime it goes out by alot !
I have tried 6 different ROMS and they all have the same problems
Can anyone help ?
Thanks
yeh.. mine's like that too... except it only seems to happen when it gets a bit warm.... haven't been able to find a solution for it so far.
Did a few searches and the general consensus seems to be that it's a hardware fault (screen and digitiser) and other people have sent it off for warranty repairs.
I'm going to have problems with the warranty as I have changed the Rom many many times.
Don't know how to put the original Telstra ROM back, assuming I can even get it !
Hey guys
I am on my 2nd diamond..
the first one had huge alignment problems, so i got it replaced..
after a month, the new one started doing the same thing..
i found a thread somewhere here on XDA (for the life of me cant remember where it is now)
but it had a little solution that mixed with mine, worked!
the problem is that the screen is not sitting properly in the casing anymore, possible due to a bump in your pocket, or a fall.. this causes a certain section of the screen to be higher or lower than the rest..
place the phone flat on a desk, and open up the notes app and try to write/draw something.. see which side of the screen the line is heading towards..
now place place your thumb and a finger on diagonal sides of the screen (eg, bottom left and top right) and press down... check with the stylus if its any better... if not, try opposite sides and check again..
mine always shot up to the top right, so when i held down the top left side of the phone, it worked..
so this meant that the top right side was sitting slightly higher than the rest of the screen.
the solution is:
find a business card with sharp corners and place the edge underneath the screen (just the corner, dont shove the whole thing up there!) hehe
then slide the card up and down a few times, and then do another side of the screen... do all 4 sides but pay special attention to area where the styles was migrating towards in the notes app..
after doing this, my phone hasnt given me a days problem in 2 months now..
give feedback if this solution works for you!

Weird Vivid LCD Problem

So im having this weird lcd problem where the sides emit a blue light on the right side and red on the left side. What is the cause of this? The resolution seenms fine to me and all but when a black screen and the backlight is on, like show on the photo, that shows up.
Do I need a new LCD for this?
Not sure what that could be , maybe a software issue ? Try to re install you software , if not then might just be the screen.
I have a problem where if i touch or hold something on the top of the screen it will touch multiple item's, & it very annoying
There's a lot of issues with the vivid. I've got light bleeding on all sides and scrolling gets weird when charging. Try and get it replaced if you're still under warranty.

Green vertical line when switching off the display

Hello everybody, I have the following "visual effect". It happens roughly 50% of the times the display switches off. It doesn't matter if it is by it self, by the power button or by a software button. In the very moment when the display switches off, a greenish dot in the center of the display flicks for a split second, along with a same color vertical line trough the whole screen. Obviously it is not supposed to be this way Beside this issue, there is no other problems with the display or the phone( for now). What do you think about this? Thanks in advance
Sounds like a screen off CRT effect, check you tube to see if that is your problem
Isn't the CRT effect a horizontal white line ending up in a dot?
I genuinely think the OP's screen may be defective...

do a lcd test and check if all pixels are working ok
Unfortunately it is not a CRT effect, although it looks a bit like it. The difference is, that the line and the dot( little spot) appear simultaneously for a fraction of a second. In a daylight it is hard to see it, even more it happens just 50% of the times, but not every other time. Its somewhat random.
The *#0*# test do not show much. No dead pixels. On blue you cant see anything, on green and red I think I see a little bit darker spot in the center of the screen( where the dot/spot appears), but there are such darker sports and elsewhere on the screen.
BTW, I noticed recently, that when the screens dims a bit shortly before switching off, this dimming happens not so smooth. How should I say it... it happens on a several steps, although the whole thing is done in less then a second, it is not so fluid. Is it supposed to be this way?
Thanks for your help guys
have u tried flashing a different rom stock
I am on the latest German stock 4.0.4, tried several others, including 2.3.6. .Currently with Hydra kernel. No difference whatsoever. I think the auto-brightness doesnt work so good. When set on fixed value it dims more fluidly.
if u on stock rom and not rooted then take it to a service center

[Q]magic screen !! my touch screen works without touching screen - like magic

i don't know is this a good question or stupid question, but i realised that my xperia sp's touch screen is awesom, i don;t know this may b a fault or a option in my phone. have anyone tried this?? ->
it doesnt happen all the time,it happens sometimes when we dont need this, then i can't even type a messege.itz annoying sometimes. but i tried this few times and i saw the magic .this is how i figured it out. ok i took my fingers near the screen, but i didnt TOUCH SCREEN. keep it away from 1mm and move my finger slightly near screen without touching it. in few tries i will saw a white circle on my screen right down where i kept my finger.i think screen detected my fingers heat without touching it. then i can do everything without touching screen, white circle moves where i move my finger and click where i stop. all this happend automatically, but i realised that this is not fault, because if screen can show white circle when i do it, itz something in system. please anyone tell me what is that?
You have glove mode activated go into settings/display and unselect.

Click to collapse
If gloves mode activated and if you unlock phone with not touching screen than when you use phone its will be allways activated if you unlock screen by touching screen than its dosn't work .
Ive got glove mode off and I also got the magic too.
All I need is holoscreen

The Hardest Problem: Home screen glitch-only

Hey guys!
So I'll put a video of my cellphone and how the problem looks like right below.
Last week I installed a few apps from Play Store for studying and after a while the phone screen started to behave with a glitch: It started to flash some vertical lines and sometimes parts of the screen are placed in other places. If I touch the screen where an icon used to be but due to the glitch it is in another place of the screen the app opens normally. Like this glitch is more about an illusion. Sometimes the whole screen can go black or white and then it turns off. Sometimes the colour scheme is inverted. (In the video you can see itbetter)
When I try to turn on the screen again by pushing the Power Button the screen can blink quickly so I can't unlock it.
I saw a lot of things on internet but actually nothing really helped me. I suspected that it was a kind of virus but I changed the ROM 3 times (flashing Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Android 5.0 Lollipop and Android 4.4 KitKat) and the problem still haunts me. When I'm setting the cellphone up the screen is OK and everytime I can open an app this glitch stops. (As you can see in the video) But when I go to the home screen this glitch starts immediatly.
I've heard that it has to do with the battery or it is a hardware problem. But I don't know why this problem only happens in the home screen. On fastboot screen the screen is OK too.
I'm trying this forum really hoping that someone appears with the solution. Thank you so much!
