Moko smart case - Galaxy Tab 3 Accessories

I recommend this case. It works perfectly with the on/off feature. It feels super slim. It barely adds weight or size to the tablet. The corner are nicely protected.

A very good price for the 7 in tablet

I bought a folio case on ebay. Horrible fit, heavy, probably lead in paint and other toxic chemicals. Now looking for a new case. Also bought screen protector from a u.s. seller but it doesn't fit properly and not edge to edge. Any recommendations for a good protector. Cheapest ebay protectors always work for me just need edge to edge.
Does metal in Moko case scratch the tab surface?

So far, I haven't encounter scratch from the metal. I'm also looking for corner to corner screen protector. I got one for now but still shopping around.

Mine should arrive tomorrow...I'll post pics of no one else does.

Hi all,
Here are some photos for my smart case. The last picture is where the metal piece sits on the case to close it. there are two small magnet pieces there. Note, it is raised a little bit so the metal doesn't touch the screen. I wanted the red one but didn't like that it was red and black. Red and white would be better.

My bad, totally didn't catch the word "ultra" in ur description

I've got the ultra slim as well (red, but looks good on the "gold-brown" Tab). It's quite nice and the smart on/off works perfectly. It's a little awkward for e-reading though- the bezel on the Tab 3 is so narrow and the case doesn't give you anything extra to hold onto. I loved the Casecrown trifold for my Kindle Fire so will keep looking for something similar to that. Not a lot of options for the 8" out there yet.

i just got this case also, in white and green, both look nice. but for some reason i dont know why the smart on/off function doesnt work...?
i close it , it doesnt turn off the screen. i open the lid, and it doesnt turn the screen on...? is there some special setting i have to turn on in the tablet?

i have an ugly 'leather' case from ebay and it activates/deactivates the screen. Not sure how it works because the light sensor is completely blocked and front camera is half blocked. Magnet in cover activates magnet in tablet? Nothing needs to be set in the tablet. It works out of the box.
Strangely this generic bad-fitting case blocks capacitive buttons. When i press on the case it activates buttons. Must be lead in the chinese paint. I should probably get rid of it asap and get moko.
Bought a generic holder and X tpu case both are good accessories but the case is not too grippy.

Galaxy Tab Official "Snap On" Leather Case

It rocks.
I got the camel colored one. I don't think I'll EVER use my bulky Zenus case again.
The snap-on cover gives me a great grip, looks very nice, and can be snapped on the front as well, to protect the glass when transporting it. All four corners are nicely protected, as well as the back. Also doesn't wobble as much when on a flat surface.
Doesn't add too much thickness, and has a nice little ridge around the outside edge that makes a great place to rest a fingertip/thumb. The leather quality is very nice, and the embossed Galaxy Tab and Samsung logos make it look very classy.
I'll shoot some pics when the light is better.

Thinnest case for the 4G

Since there is no barely there case can anyone tell me what is a good thin case?
Incipio Feather for the regular Nexus S is probably the closest thing to what you're looking for. It will fit the 4g, but the power button cutout is a little off center. Doesn't really bother me at all, though--I really like the case.
Off center is fine as long as it fits
No white? Blue it is
Thanks

I have a feather too. Great case, doesnt completely cover the top n bottom of the phone but it doesnt bother me.
I jus ordered a feather. Hopefully it will be here soon. Thinness I can find
Update. Feather came today. Looks very nice. Volume is off center and I had to ever-so-slightly trim it. Very nice. Thin, feels better in my hand. $16 on eBay for the black one.
a picture is like 1000 words ...
Taken w my wife's epic 4g. Hard to snap great pics and hold it lol. Very happy w the case after the slight trim where the volume is.
Still sexy thin?

Pretty nice .. Thank you for the pictures.
i bought a red feather case black was sold out at the time and thought red would be a nice change. Turns out i didn't like the red, i used RIT dye and dyed it black using a trick i remembered from my diamond years ago, came out very well. Got bored and started to use sandpaper to give it some texture, after about an hour i have a silver case with black Incipio engraving.. pretty nice. Finished off with smooth straight strokes with sandpaper. Ended up with a fairly good looking stainless steelish case.

I wrote a short review and posted it to my site (site has affiliate and non-affiliate link) along with 11 pictures. Here is a copy of the review.
Here is the case, the Incipio Feather Ultra Thin Case, I just purchased for my Nexus S 4G from Amazon. As you can see by the pictures, the case definitely lives up to its name, it is very thin and also very light. I’ve only owned it for an hour so I will not be able to report on its durability, nor will I drop my phone to test it.
The case is easy to put on and has a snug fit. The holes for the volume buttons, camera, flash and speaker line up perfectly. However, this case was designed for the Nexus S so the hole for the power button doesn’t match perfectly but doesn’t interfere with its operation. I’m able to wake and power the phone on/off easily. The case is open at the bottom and shouldn’t obstruct the use with the mini-usb and headphone jack with a dock.
It feels a little slick but not as slick as the back without a cover. I can’t feel a discernible difference in the weight and size of the phone with the case on. I can imagine this will prevent a lot of the small dings and scratches but wouldn’t offer much protection if you drop your phone. I usually buy cases for my phone but end up taking them off because of the added bulk. For me, this one is a keeper.

I think Ringke is the best case for 4g. Nice texture, good protection, looks good and fits phone perfectly. This case surpassed all my expectations.

Luxury Flip Leather Case Cover Review w/ Video

Hey guys! Made a quick video review of a new case I just got in today. It's like Samsung's Flip Case, but with some added protection and a magnet that keeps it from moving and opening up when you don't want it to. Definitely recommend it!
Sorry for the random black spots during transitions, still new to this! I also need a DSLR camera and better tripod, haha.

Yes, was thinking about this. Love my current Samsung Flip case but the lack of corner drop protection does make me a bit paranoid. I really wish someone made a case like this with a kickstand.

Does the back feel cheap at all? I'm kind of a branding snob. Does the generic look take away from the quality? How does the hinge hold up when you fold the top back? Does it fold back completely and easily?
Does the magnet cause s pen issues?

Nope, the magnet is to the side of the screen, so no interference at all. And the link to do the case is in the info on youtube. Just click to expand. I'll post it on here soon, too.
One issue, though, is it can be a bit difficult to grab the Spen, so if you use it often, that could be an annoyance.

I have exactly the same case, but I would not call it luxury, either from the price (I paid $7 on ebay) or the quality.
OP's case does looks nicer and more premium than my similar case, mine even has Samsung on the metal magnet clip on the cover, but looks and feels like total crap, tossed it to the trash can as soon as I got it.
I'm currently waiting for Amigo flip case, looks super nice from the pic, no magnet though.

There's a few other listings of "luxury" cases
that look similar but aren't the same. If it I'd the same though, I guess it could be a matter of personal preference? I personally love the soft, textured feel of the case. Feels quite nice to hold.

I have the same case as the OP and didn't notice until watching his video that the blue on the latch is only protective tape. I peeled it off and now it's a nice stainless/chrome look.
I can only grab the S-Pen with my little fingernail, but it should be easy enough to cut/file/Dremel the slot a little bigger if it's enough of a problem.

Useful review. Case looks nice, but sadly, once again they forgot to have a cutout for the notification LED. I'd also prefer cutouts for better access to the volume buttons, as I use those a lot as shortcuts and when playing audio (with cases closed).
Most (or all cases ignore this however, especially the LED hole). And it should have a larger SPen cutout like this one. But looks ok for the price.

I agree, having that would be very nice. I may have my dad just got one out himself, actually. I mean sometimes its nice cause I don't always like to see if I have a notification, but for that I could just turn the case over. And with the cover I wouldn't have to worry about getting any scratches.

Quick question to the OP and the other person who owns this case. What type of corner protection does this offer? What material is used for the part that holds onto the phone? Is it a hard plastic like PC or is it a softer Silicone/TPU type material?

Mine is plain hard plastic. Part of one corner is gone due to a drop from less than two feet.
Owned this for 2 weeks until it started affecting the spen area around the magnet. no biggie if you dont use the spen just something to consider.

QuickWindow not working with "NILLKIN LG G2 Fresh Series Leather Case"

Hi, i recently bought a "NILLKIN LG G2 Fresh Series Leather Case" from a vendor. Accordin to the pictures and the specs the QuickWindow feature should work, but its not... Does only the LG G2 retail accessories work proper with this feature? Are there any custom-rom features that could solve this? Cheers!

I have the LG quick window case and it works perfectly well.
On closer inspection of the case it looks like there is a circular chip embedded within the back of the front case and I guess its that chip which then enables the software on the LG G2 to display the reduced visible window area.
Therefore I guess no other cases will work unless its the official case?
there is a setting for it under general > accessory
Make sure the embedded magnet in the cover is lined up with the left side of the screen about 1/3 of the way down, that's where the sensor is.

It's just a magnet.
BTW, get a better case (other than quick window). Just dropped mine from about 3 feet and it not only bounced, but popped off with no problem. My precious now has battle damage. On top of that, it appears to affect certain screen protectors. Even after cleaning the screen protector, the area of the window has an outline and gathers debris easier.

Case works well
I picked up one of these cases from Amazon and can confirm it works as intended. The window shows the clock when the case is shut and then again when the power button is hit or a call comes in. The only downside I can see right now if the lack of a hole for the notification light. I plan on making a hole for the light when I get home with a hot nail.
Hi,

The lack of a notification hole was easy to fix, I just expanded the hole for the speaker. The material is vinyl cover cardboard? so it did not melt as expected. I ended up taking a fine blade and cutting the space I wanted. This left ugly white edges so I colored it in with a marker as well as the window edges. If you have a small craft punch it would make a nice, clean hole.
The case is better in the hand than the bare phone. The back is smooth, but seems more grippy than the naked phone. I usually folder over the case when holding it so it helps with the grip as well.

:good: No it does not bother me at all, for some it might.......wasn't a deal breaker for me at all...The case is very grippy, nice textured to the back, I think I posted a picture with a close up of the back.

Thanks. I placed my order yesterday. Let's what I will do with LED hole. It is just weird I think that they did not consider that.

Cheers....It is a bit odd not to consider including the LED hole, but the cool thing is that the LED on the G2 is so bright you will know when its lit.

Which material is used on the back, it looks kind of grippy like the N5 back, or is it just plastic?
Also, how long did it take to arrive?

I think its a textured hard plastic or maybe that TPU material.....it feels really nice in the hand......Shipping was pretty quick and free....surprisingly it took only 2 weeks to deliver from China to the US.

Any cases with "nexus"printed on them?

Hello guys
I have been using this device for few weeks . And now I'm looking for a nice case
I want a case with Nexus printed in back of them and remaining case should be plain /with descent texture
I've already searched on Amazon.. but looks like cases I want are not available in my country :silly:
So can anybody suggest me a good case and post a link here ?
Thanks in advanced
(Ps I'm using black Nexus 5x .. in case someone needs that info too )
(Please ignore grammatical mistakes if any )
I got a Smoke Black Silicon S cover, it protects against scratches and minor bumps, and it gives some extra grip. Also looks really sweet and since it's quite transparant it still shows LG and Nexus. Can't really find the link anymore but searching smoke black tpu s or smoke black silicon s will probably get u the same thing, and it's quite cheap too, mine was like €2 from aliexpress.
The supcase comes in a version with a clear back so the Nexus logo shows?
Amazon Link Example
Thats the case I use. Its been a great case.
I bought a nillkin tpu 0.6mm. Its cheap and good too ( ₹399). And no Nexus is not printed on it, but its transparent, best thing about this case is that it also covers the usb and headphones slot. And the power, volume button feedback is also improved. See here

I use the same case and like it. "Nexus" is clearly visible through it. I kind of wanted to be a **** about showing it off as Nexus and their's no difficulty seeing it. IMO it's doubtful that you will find a decent, legit, case that says Nexus on it unless Google sells it. Nexus is one of their trademarks. You may find some skins that sell you the letters n, e, x, u and s that you can stick on with the rest of the skin but they are pushing it too since they are replicating the size and font of the actual trademarked logo.
The Nillkin is okay, the best thing about it is the dust flaps. BUT, it's a little too thin for my liking and feel flimsy. Has no camera protection whatsoever.
I'm using a Ringke Fusion now and it's much better. Not flimsy (i would like it to be a touch thicker) and has proper camera bump protection. I have the smokey black/clear as i read the all clear can discolour (yellow) around the edges. Plus it comes with a cutout template which you can make any logo visible through the clear back. But i'm not using it as the Nexus is very visible and looks great. The button feedback on this case is great (same as Nillkin).

What about the space between camera fingerprint sensor and flash, some people said the phone could be scratched with the ringke.

I've had mine for about a month now and no such scratches on my black 5X. The back of the Ringke Fusion is a harder plastic to the side bumpers, and yes the cut-out for camera and finger print does appear to have a sharp finish where it makes contact in this area. The actual side where you can touch has a slight bevel edge, it feels great. Given that it sits flat with no movement, I can't see how it can scratch the back of the phone. I've used many cases with this phone, this one is easily the best so far. It's a perfect balance between moderate protection and retaining the natural feel. Plus it looks very nice and clean. The only negative I have read about it, is the clear bumper version and discoloration. I have the smokey black which has no such issue. [Edited for more details]
