Anyone tried using Lightflow on their ZR? I tried but it did not work for me. Tried with stamina mode on as well as off. The settings menu showed 3 additional LEDs that could be controlled. Tried enabling all of them but still no luck.
Couldn't get Lightflow to work but got an app called "Illumination Bar Notification" which works perfectly well even though its not meant for the Xperia ZR.

Can you suggest me a good LED control app?
I was trying the full LightFlow App but it doesn't run really well. For example i set up it for Whatsapp but it blinks at the rate that i choosed only for the first 5 seconds, then it turns back to the whatsapp's default rate!

Simple.. turn led control off in whatsapp then it won't over rule lightflow

nope, it doesn't work. The same with calendar: the LightFlow's notification works till the screen is on (i set screen to turn on 5 secs), when the screen shuts down the led turns white and "default" blink rate. And i set off the control of the LED by the calendar...
If then i press the power button and turn the screen on, the lightflow's notification works again till the screen shuts down again
P.s. lightflow is enabled in stamina mode
EDIT: it works if i turn off Stamina Mode... strange! there is a conflict

Try to white-list that app in the stamina mode.
As i said Lightflow is enabled (or whitelisted) in Stamina mode!
there is a conflict with Stamina Mode and lightflow or lightflow is working on your device???

Has anyone found an app that gives us better control over the hardware LED?
I'd like to have the notification light periodically blink when there's an SMS message or missed call, (and maybe some of the other important notifications), and the default settings offer so little control as to be useless. <rant> Seriously, why would I want a LED to tell me if the phone is charging, I can see damned well that it's charging, there's a cord attached! </rant>
There's the LEDBlinker app, which has all the options i'd want, but when I put it into test mode, it doesn't blink the leds.
Has anyone else tried to do this? Has anyone had any success? It's a cool hardware feature, that I think i'd really use - but it's hobbled by the crap configuration options Samsung gave us.

Samsung prevents the LED notifications from working unless the screen is turned off. I'm using Light Manager (the dev participates on this forum), and so far it works fine in "alternate" mode. When you test the LED settings, a pop-up tells you to turn off the screen, and only then will the test work (and it does).

Thanks - turns out I'd turned the LED off in settings (along with the options to use the LED to show charging status). /facepalm
I have sacrifice my Lightflow to light up the Xperia logo when there is a notification. I like the Xperia logo light up when having notification, try to add Lightflow into Stamina mode, but still not working.
Lightflow can control the xperia logo ?

Haha. Is ok. :laugh: Can. Under setting there is a additional leds found. There will show led light that found on your device and set it as notification light even your screen backlight.

I had problems with Lightflow as well. It was installed when I updated and seemed to work ok until I turned on Stamina. Then my flashing green notification that I have to tell me phones on and in signal, stopped and it was flashing a really slow and dim pinkish colour even though there was nothing set to that. Soon after that though I was hit by charging bug so I repaired software and factory reset only to still be hit by the charging bug.
I'm waiting for the UK unbranded software to come out now so I can install that and reinstall apps and do a proper test. I refuse to play about much when i'm going to have to reflash my correct software in the next few days (weeks... months... whatever). Sony need to pull their finger out with this one now. It's beyond understanding why they would do half a roll out on a Friday afternoon then not continue it first thing on Monday.

I was using Illumination Bar App for 1 year without any problem. I choose this APP because the old update from Sony disabled the led notifications in Stamina Mode.
Anyway, since the 4.3 update recently, the light is now always blinking until I open the phone to check messages. Before, it used to blink for 60mn and then disapear. I didn't change anything in the configuration.
I tried to update the Illumination Bar App with PlayStore after the 4.3 update, but it doesn't change anything.
I also uninstalled it, reboot the phone, and reinstall the latest version. Still the same behaviour.
Does someone else encouter the same issue ? Any workaround or tips to get rid of the problem ?
I know now the LED is working fine with the stock illumination app from Sony but you can't set the max blinking duration time before it stops.

Problem is the settings. You need to set that it will stop blinking after screen unlock. This will prevent all that blinking. Also setting a time-out will help.
After I flashed TWRP, root, and installed a custom rom, notification LED doesn't seems to work anymore once the device is turn off. The notification LED allows me to know the status of my charge at a glance so it kinda bothered me when I noticed it wasnt working anymore. Anyone knows how to fix this problem?
Most of the roms have an option for that on settings.
Charging Led or something like that.

I already adjust the settings. It works when the device is POWERED ON but not when its POWERED OFF.
