I don't believe that this phone is capable of LTE. I think it is only capable of HSPA+ (21 Mbps). I live in a refarmed area and my speeds have never changed.

Well it is capable of LTE on AT&Ts network but ironically not on T-Mobile's. The T-Mobile note has the exact same radio as the AT&T note does thus it does not have the added new T-Mobile frequencies for LTE. So unlocked T-Mobile notes can access AT&T LTE networks but not their own LTE network.

It's all about the frequencies, our phone is for the most part exactly the same phone as the AT&T Note. With exactly the same radio. Although it's capable of receiving T-Mobile 4g it's not able to use T-Mobile LTE as they use different frequencies. However to answer your question if your phone was nand unlocked, you have an AT&T sim card, and flashed an AT&T Note Modem then yes you can use AT&T's LTE with this phone.

Can it be used in the u.s?

I'm in the process of getting a Samsung Galxaxy s i9000 from Europe (a trade) and I would like to know if I could use it on T-Mobile or AT&t in the United States. Would I have to unlock it or is it already unlocked?? Would love to know as soon as possible... thanks...

You should be able to use it on att. Not sure though if even with the proper modem that you can enable 850hz band. Still has 1900 though so you should be good. As far as unlocked goes, depends if it's a carrier model or not.

I currently have T-Mobile so I was wondering if I could use it with T-Mobile. The internet speeds don't really matter much, I just want it to make and receive calls and texts.

Yes you can.

i9000 supports 3G bands 900/1900/2100
AT&T uses 850 and 1900. So you'll only get 3G on AT&T in 1900 MHz coverage areas.
TMobile uses AWS 3G bands (1700/2100 MHz). It requires BOTH to work on 3G at all, so it will only work on 2G/EDGE.
You could use a Galaxy S i9000T on the entire AT&T 3G coverage, as it supports 850/1900/2100 MHz.

Ofcourse it will work, if its unlocked that is.
since T-Mobile is refarming to 1900, some major cities get 3G
in Boston area i only get 2G/EDGE

I had to make sure, I was looking at T mobile frequencies and O4X frequencies they match up but I had to get another person feedback. Thanks tho!
Also, your only getting 2G/EDGE in Boston? I figure you would atleast get 3G in a city like that.

My knowing was that international phones won't work with TMobile USA other than edge but on att just fine.

I used it with AT&T in UMTS in the west coast states. The quality and availability of UMTS by AT&T is okay.
T Mobile isn't working in UMTS because of the frequency band which doesn't work with this phone, but GSM will work.
I am using it on Att prepaid. Works great.

All bands roaming

So if you put your Sprint device in automatic instead of LTE/CDMA can you roam on AT&T and T-Mobile like you can on Verizon? Or does sprint not have roaming agreements with them so you are blocked?
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
If you're referring to roaming on 3g, I believe Verizon is the only other carrier that we can roam onto. If you're referring to 4G, (Someone correct me if I'm wrong) we cannot roam onto another carrier's LTE network as our phone only has the appropriate bands for Sprint and these bands are not shared with other carriers.

But they're GSM carriers so they use different bands.

[Q] No 4g/LTE

Hello. I have just bought a One with Sprint, I tried several Roms and never I Reached 4G in Spain. When I selected LTE or CDMA no data , If I put it in automatic I have 3G or H but never 4g.
Same issue. I know I can get 4G beause when I drive around, my phone has said 4G on it. With that being said, I only get 4G about .00001% of the time im using the network so it goes to 4G when i dont need it. i doubt its my phone its Sprints towers but that really sucks cuz 3G is sooooooo slow for me.
It's probably because your Spanish carrier does not use CDMA or Sprints LTE bands

In Spain for the moment is 1800 and 2600. End of this year also 800 but not yet.
Sprint is using 1900 800 and 2500. The sprint HTC only supports the 1900 lte

As far as I've ever head the GSM is limited to the edge network, which leads back to my previous point.
