when i enter the service menu by *#*#7378423#*#* and then "service test" then "speaker", i can hear a little distortion during music while keeping the phone near my ears.
is this a common problem in zr or i have a faulty zr?

I too experience distorted notification sound some time. But it seems random.

i'am using this device and i get this weird but nice behaviour and i don't know if this happens since the new firmware ( 9.1.A.1.141 ), with Xperia T !
The Volume is actually really Low and yesterday while playing Music i take a Screenshot on the Device and all of a sudden the Volume came up and it was better than ever before

I have MW1 don't have the volume problem. I would recommend using Hybrid ROM by peetr_
Volume is much higher in it as he tweaked it and it's rock solid anyway
The only issue I have with my MW1 is that occasionally I get 5 seconds of constant messed up stuttering... Goes after the 5 seconds but still it's rather annoying

There's a bug in .140 and. 141 jb firmware where the Bluetooth sound level is lower than normal when you turn it on. The easiest fix I've found is to just change the alarm sound level in the sound options, press ok and the volume level increases significantly.
I have this headset. There are no such problems. Stuttering cleaned using the latest firmware headset.

The person wasn't talking about the old stuttering problem. That was fixed on the last headset firmware upgrade. There's another problem but due to the xperia t firmware, the solution I gave above works

Today i Bought Xperia Z1 ,it recently started to make an annoying squeaking sound whenever I'm trying to type. How do I completely cut off the vibration? I don't like motor squeaking sound in the feedback or when I'm typing So I prefer it completely ٰTurn off

I did but still is active when i get new Email or Message in Wechat/Viber//line
Disable also Vibrate when Ringing and Vibrate on touch in Sound. Other than that you have to look in application which you installed, they are the main reason for that.

I had the same problem. Open diagnostics. Test your vibration a lot of times. If you hear squeak, contact your service. I sent my phone to repair.
Same problem here. I've sent my phone to repair today. I'll get the answer tomorrow, I bought it last week and I'm having this issue.

When i got my z1 i thought theres no way to turn the vibration off.. But i dug deep enough to fix this myself.. Just think every app that could have a vabration in it and turn it off thats what i did and then carefully set the vibration of the only app i want to vibrate.. Its sad that on the prvious xperias and other phones that if you turn off the main vibration switch every app that has a vibration even if its on it wont vibrate..

I had a same problem. First time I left it for service they said it's software and that they update firmware. Few days after same problem again, now they changed the earpiece and finaly works ok

so I send it back to sony and got a new ls,perfect sound..

This is odd. After updating to the latest build the sound issue where the phone speaker would sound instead of the loud speaker is gone. Still though when I use my headphones and the google music app the sound doesn't sound right until I press settings on the drop down menu. :-/ it's like the equalizer doesn't take effect until I do the former steps I mentioned. Thought this update would fix that too. 14.3.a.0.757

I tried clearing the cache and delvick but that didn't fix this either. It's happened less than before but it's still present. I hate it because I listen to music though my phone several times a day. Everytime I hear the audio without the added effects I feel like so I which this bug is fixed rather quickly.

I got a Xperia Z1 and i recently changed the screen, but unfotunately i broke the microphone you use when you are calling, but the microphone in speaker mode still work.
I wonder if they is any solutions to force the use of the microphone works, and disable the microphone who is not working

I am facing exactly the same issue, got screen replaced of a water damaged phone and now the microphone not working. Now can't make calls on loud speaker as my voice is not heard on other end....any solution?
