I think nandroid with root can be restored and then delete superuser.apk with root explorer than factory reset must be works

My guess is this is not entirely true. To the best of my knowledge, all available superuser solutions install a su binary as well, which is located someplace like /system/bin/su or /system/xbin/su or some such, and possibly other files required by the solution. That would mean that while simply removing the APK might make it impossible to use su (as the binary might be dependent on the APK in order to work properly, although this is just a guess), it most certainly won't restore the sytem to its pre-root state.

I'd also like to get a copy too please!

Well, guys, I'd really love to help you with this, I would be able to host this on a machine with practically unlimited bandwidth, however, unfortunately, Fedex seems to be holding my phone in a wrong country because some idiot put a wrong country code in the address and they don't seem to be willing to do anything about it. \-:

I don't know much about TWRP, can you provide a Logfile so we can see what part of the script produced this error?
Otherwise try using the latest TWRP if you don't do this yet or use CWM/Philz

for flashing recovery you need a PC, at least I don't know about another way you have to connect it via usb, reboot your phone to fastboot and use this commands from your fastboot folder on your PC (recovery.img needs to be in same folder)
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Thank you very much I ll try it

yes this can be a problem for updating. you have to be completely stock to be able to install an OTA update. I posted a guide before how to revert everything. I think this is the easiest way.
but root is not the cause that you can't flash your stock recovery. Is your One recognized by your computer correctly? To be sure that the drivers are OK and the right ones you can install HTC Sync

[Q] Please help, Butterflys S stuck on black screen after reboot

Hi guys,
I have some issues here.
I planned on rooting my Butterfly S but after unlocking the bootloader and installing a recovery, I formatted by SD card and remounted it. Unfortunately my rom backup didnt work for some reason.
When the phone booted again, I had the HTC welcome screen with the little music and then a black screen with only on top right the network symbol and that's it. I could at first use the bottom button but not connect to the internet.
Now, it's just black.
I restored the stock rom given in this forum, but same result. I then copied the original SDcard directory but nothing has changed. It's black and keep on rebooting.
Any idea of what I could do? The phone is not rooted.
THanks a lot! It makes me anxious!!
Wow. This sucks. U will have to sideload a rom using twrp, and pc. If there were an RUU, u would b good to go.

Hello,
I'm making progress. The NOS Rom had made me do progress.
I can connect to the internet, it's stable when i'm not in developer mode.
I can't restore any ab file though... And I have lost my IMEI.
So my phone is not a phone anymore. Can someone help me restore my IMEI? I know it's quite easy on Samsung, but on HTC??
And also, is there a RUU available? How much time does it take usually?

I didn't have problems with IMEI after wiping internal SD card, however it's possible that IMEI is lost. Please read this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36079357&postcount=1
Step "choose and download RUU for your mobile" I'd suggest to download source code from htcdev.com

Thanks for this. I always wondered exactly what files I'd need to port a current sense ROM to Sprint. I've done some personal ports before but that was back during my GS2 days. I look forward to seeing some fully functioning ports in the near future.

Download international rom on computer, unzip rom, drag files from this zip into the extracted rom, replace/add all, change mount points in updater-script(\META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script), zip up newly ported rom, Flash.

You probably will always need to change partitions as the international ONE has different mount points. Just open the updater-script, and find all mentions of "mmcblk0p" and change the numbers after them to the ones for sprint in the op. Make sure you change all mentions of this! Don't want to write things to the wrong partitions.

i tried some method from other thread, one is to re-lock the bootloader, I thought if i re-lock it, it becomes officially locked and then it will be able to update. after typing this command : "fastboot oem lock" it re-locked but i couldn't start my phone again it stuck in bootloader and no way to start it, when i saw it will take long time to got fixed and since i have an exam tomorrow and i got an urgent call to make i decide to re-unlocked it using htcdev method suddenly that wiped the sh** out of my phone, I forgot that is gonna happen and i didn't make a recovery.

If it's 4G it's 901s. Well, I don't really care about 4G here because it just started here and it is 3G with another name and price, the carriers are cheating here and it won't be really 4G till Q2 2014.

I don't care about 4G, i'm very happy with 3G it is more than enough for me, i use wifi all the time when im home and when i go somewhere i found a wifi network. while i'm driving, 2g is enough for chatting and checking emails.
BTW my problem got solved, Thanks to daorderdillon, 5 hours on gtalk teaching me step by step how to fix my phone and gave me links for all needed files.
Nice to hear that! I hope you don't have anymore problems!

Why are you running two simultaneous threads? You'll just get everybody confused. Recommend you stick with one thread so people can follow.
Sorry I didn't get any help so I tried again and forgot to remove post if I can lol

you said you are using TWRP 2.7.0.1. Is there a 2.7.0.1 for the M7_UL? The only one I know is for M7WLS. What is the complete file name of the recovery you have flashed?
I was just asked to post this in here and let other post die so that's what I will do lol

I haven't got that file on my comp anymore to know the full filename I can always get a different recovery if that would help

I think you might have flashed a wrong recovery (for M7WLS)
try this recovery: http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/m7/openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-m7.img
better to md5 check both your rom and recovery before you flash them.
Make sure the rom is for M7_UL variant.
Lets hope your partitions are not screwed...
What difference should this make and what will I have to do next lol

ehh.. ok mate, without any knowledge you can brick your device, why do you trust me? you dont even know me. Can you read just few basics..? im not trying to be rude mate.
You have everything here, i mean everything all your question are here, use search write your error and thats it..
Your frimware must be correct recovery etc, if you dont know what version firmware or recovery you need, open topic with rom and there must be instalation tip.
You are loosing your time when you waiting here for answer.
sry for poor English.

TWRP recovery 2.7.0.1 is probably the M7WLS version not for your phone!
I don't know any 2.7.0.1 version for the M7_UL
So flashing a stable twrp version for your variant is the best move atm (2.6.3.3 or 2.6.3.4)
then try to flash your rom again
clear cache and hopefully it will boot
I know your not being rude mate just i had this phone for 4 days and 3 of them.days I've been stuck with it just need get it working again I've said my problem.and done as people have asked me I spent first day searching for help with this prob and never found any hence why I'm asking for help coz I've got myself stuck

maybe thats only me but i like to read instructions before i will brick something for 400£, or maybe you dont care about money and you like to test, right now you are testing your device.
