nice work!
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 4

For some reason devhost DL speed is terribly slow (ROM download) as compared to download.paranoidandroid.co (Gapps) which is at least 5x faster.

If someone wants to make a mirror, feel free to do it.
I'll see if I can upload to paranoidandroid official server for future release.

Any plans for a crespo4g port? Seems almost everyone has forgotten all about it for months.

I have been using this rom for last few hours it is great rom but i think it is on the slow side due to the hybrid settings and it does not go well with nexus s hardware. But i think this is best rom for devices like n4.its a bit laggy on nexus s but then again great work developers....keep it up i hope you will come in something to improve its speed on older devices..thanks....waiting for per app power modes that might help a bit...

Thanks for your impression. I am not sure hybrif affects performance, but of course the ROM can be better for our nexus s, if I optimize, or clean it a bit.

There's no theme support and/or dark toggle right? Or i just can't find it in the settings?

Yep the dark toggle like on slimbean where you'll get a dark theme by just toggling it on the settings.
Thanks!

PA theme engine is the same as the tmobile/cm theme engine. cm is either reworking it or have dropped it entirely. I'm not exactly sure the reason, but it's even been removed from the latest crespo4g 4.2.2 nightlies. if there were xposed framework for crespo/crespo4g that would be a viable option, but I can't seem to find any mention of it anywhere.

Thanks .

how to enable those floating notifications on other 4.3 Roms?

Can I assume since this is an aospa port it's built on aosp source? I only ask because I have seen others build it on CM.
Thanks!

Do you have any mods in particular in mind? Let me know! :highfive:
Hey guys, I know it's been a while since I've posted an update, but here I am, just letting you know I'm still here! I was planning on having a build out here these past few days, but my main drive in my build server failed . I'm working on getting it back up and running, but it might be a few more days before I can get it working again. I will have a build up here as soon as possible, and thanks for hanging in there guys!
Version 1.1.0 has been released. Changelog is as follows:
### 1.1.0
* common: update to android-4.2.2_r1.2
* SoMeX: add dictionaries and gesture keyboard support (CM)
* common: add PrivacyGuard support (incognito mode) (cyanogen)
* settings: add PrivacyGuard manager (slimroms)
* common: add SMS Security support (lithid)
* phone/contacts: add T9 dialer and landscape dialer functionality
* phone: Make going to call log after call optional (CM)
* libcore: patch BOTH master-key security exploits! (AOSP)
* phone: add transparency to incall screen (fitsnugly)
Deodexed builds are up, odexed will follow later today.
Just an extra note, you should no longer need to use the modified gapps I provided for gesture keyboard, you can use the official gapps now. Link is in OP.
Odexed builds are up!

Hey guys, 4.3 builds are up! Test em out and let me know how they run! I tested a bit and it seems to be pretty stable, let me know if there are any issues.
Forgot to mention, the gapps have been updated for 4.3, so you need the new package (updated in OP) to flash with this zip.
Also, Google's dialpad autocomplete has replaced the CM T9 dialer, and will need to be turned on in the Phone settings if you want to use it (it's off by default).

The odexed builds are generally faster/smoother, the reason people used deodexed is since you can easily modify the system apk files for theming and such. If you don't care about that, go for odexed
Anybody have a USB OTG cable they could test something out for me on?
New build up! Changelog is as follows:
Code:
### 1.2.2
* common: update to android-4.3_r2.2
* common: enable NTFS support in kernel
* tuna: improve color display in kernel (cm)
* tuna: correct compass behavior
### 1.2.1
* build: Remove AOSP Calendar from builds
* common: Enable BLE for tuna/grouper-based devices
* tuna: fix OTG for all tuna-based devices
* grouper: fix OTG for grouper based devices
* grouper/tilapia: fix Storage menu force-closes (fattire)
* LatinIME: latinime: Add "more" keys to ALL the keys (cyanogen)
* LatinIME: Enable more keys for top row on tablets (cyanogen)

Based on my collaboration with djmatt604 and the work on my existing Mackay ROM, we bring you the AOKP experience Infamous-style!
This ROM is based on the AOKP jellybean 4.2 sources
To this we added:
-The CM device & vendor trees, adapted to our needs
-Mackay kernel
-Some CM/AOKP cherries
-A unique set of homemade patches
-A tailor-made gapps included in the zip
Changelog version 1.7.4
-AOKP source code 8-May-2013
-TRDS code, including a Dark UI toggle
-Added toggle ribbon
-Added Hidden Statusbar Pulldown
-Latest Mackay kernel
Installation instructions:
-Reboot to recovery (CWM or TWRP)
-Make a backup of your current ROM
-Wipe system
-Factory reset
-Flash the zip (no need to flash gapps separately, as it is included in the ROM)
-Reboot and enjoy!
Don't try to do a dirty flash or restore system settings using Titanium, both cause bootloops. Trust me, I have had the honour of testing this for you!

Did you tame the unicorn, btw? Or ported any tweak?
Thank you, your roms are truly appretiated.
Awesome kasper!! Your 4.2.2 ROMS are the best . I´m going to try it now!
Just one question : Why you don´t include scripts for init.d or tweaks for build.prop or sysctl?
Hope you continue with your work cause it´s impressive.

I don't believe in scripts to improve overall performance...maybe in specific use-cases it can help, but not in general.
Well its booting faster since we can disable bootanimation,we are able to customize ui as we like,i think its great,i dont know though something, can aokp for p970 be updated when cm is updated too, even if cm10.1 gets changes for our phone spesifically?

CM10.1 and AOKP are separately updated. Important updates in CM are often quickly ported to AOKP. I use a common device tree for building Mackay ROM and AOKP, so all p970-specific changes for CM are also applied for AOKP.
I have to say that´s really good. Smooth and fast. I love more Paranoid ROMS but these is supperbbb! Great work
Oh yeah are there performance options anywhere or is aokp disabled them?

Same issues as all JB4.2 ROMs (battery drain relatively high, camera (especially video) buggy).
Hello, does this Rom fix the several problems with the Bluetooth or does it include all bugs from CM?
It is nice to see that some people continue to develop for our OB.

This is normal for AOKP, it has no launcher settings and as I mentioned before p970 has buggy video recording.

I meant JB4.2 for p970, not JB4.2 in general. On my Galaxy S, both Mackay ROM and Infamous AOKP work perfectly fine.
Wifi tether doesnt work, but usb tether is just fine. It looks fast, but lets give it a shot after instaling more apps.
Sent from my LG-P970 using Tapatalk 2
So the problem is that lg has not released the appropriate drivers or that cm devs dont have time for p970?I understood that u meant p970 i just wonder why p970 has that many bugs compared to others.

The normal cause of this is running Halo. You need to disable Halo before installing anything and reenable it afterwards.
Not sure as I can't see Halo mentioned in the OP though, but I guess you have installed it yourself.
That was it. But halo is included in the rom. I had not even installed.

One bug report is swyping with the stock keyboard makes it close. This isn't a problem for me because I use swype.
Another thing I had is the play store force closed when I scrolled really fast...though the scrolling is super smooth!
I also dont have a camera app which I'm assuming comes with gapps. I flashed the one from september but also have the one from august. I didn't click on the link provided for gapps in the op so ignore this if i'm just a noob and need to leanr to do things right Is this just a matter of flashing the proper gapps to get the camera and gallery? I know it's an easy fix so I'm not concerned
PS and BTW: knock on works perfect! I had many situations where knock on would not work very well at all on my phone with it stock but knocck on works perfect everytime now on this rom. I have recreated every situation where on stock it would fail to knock on and on this rom (and i'm guessing all the AOSP based roms) it's working perfect. Hopefully the knock off feature will get fixed and things will be glorious!
GPS works perfect! instant lock!
tethering works! on it right now!
I'm assuming everything else works...this is my new DD! Thanks so much devs! amazing rom!
Was the stock camera removed? I am unable to find it.

OMGGGGGGG... Thank you
Looks good!
I would really like the option to disable battery light - And option to enable soft keys.
Other than that... Nice.

The best ROM so far just miss the status bar tweak like network monitor and navbar option. BTW daily driver material especially layer theme manager ?

So did navbar and battery light options show up in last build?
