Memory sizes available? - Galaxy S 4 Active Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is the S4a still only available as 16gb?
And for the avoidance of doubt I mean actually shipping and seen in a store rather then announced or available (in reality some time in the future) from an online seller.
Thanks

Which Galaxy Tab

Hi guys,
I plan on getting the original Galaxy Tab but before I do so, I wanted to know if it makes a difference in terms of rootability/ROMs,etc...
I will only use it with wi-fi so it doesn't matter to me which carrier it is with but that said I do not want to get the wi-fi only version because I hear it is not as powerful as the ones sold by the carriers.
I personally prefer the Sprint one but that's just because it has the white back but I seriously want to make the right decision for the right reasons. I actually bought the asus transformer but I just love that feel of the galaxy tab in your hand, the way you can type, etc and for some reason I do not like honeycomb. I guess I am old school and just like the phone version of Android on my tab.
I'd really appreciate some inputs.
Thanks
You really should read the forum rules. this is the dev section. Questions go in the questions and answers section.

Thanks, I am aware of the forum rules. I've been around long enough and I know this is the DEV section but my question is kinda related to the developability of this device so that's why I thought this might be a more appropriate section.
If necessary, I'd appreciate if the admins can move it to the q&a section.
Thread should be moved, but I sent you a PM for things to consider when you purchase your Tab. My personal preference is GSM. Hit the thanks button if I helped a brother out.

Well you are obviously not aware of the rules otherwise you would know that no questions of ANY kind should be posted here, development based or not.
This section is for posting or work and reference ONLY!
Questions go in Q&A
Developments go in Developments
Simple as that

Basically, unless your thread is to actually release something or discuss something of a very technical and n00b unfriendly nature, it doesnt belong here!

Fair enough, let's move it to Q&A then
You could have read and posted in my thread from several days ago with the exact same title.

GSM
np for rootability. so go for the gsm variant. (more functionality) thats all.
The performance between both are the same.
Almost(region) all hardware is the same (CPU/RAM/NAND is)
AND YES IDD WORN PLACE FOR YOU QUESTION !!!!!

Giffgaff thread

I have searched for a thread like this on here but only found mentions of giffgaff, rather than specific threads about it.
For those who haven't heard of giffgaff, they are a mobile network who offer great bundles and fantastic prices. Check out all the info at
giffgaff.com/
And for those who do know of giffgaff, are you a customer or deciding whether to or not? How have you found their service?
For anything giffgaff related, post it in here. Whether it be questions, reviews, or general chat about giffgaff. Feel free to post it all in here.

XDA is a development site, not a place to push commercial enterprise.

Why no dedicated forum?

Jeez XDA, still no dedicated forum for Chromecast? With its current sell out & continued interest you'd think there would already be a dedicated forum here.
Then again, why am I surprised at XDA being slow on the uptake lol!

Really? No Dev section, no general, etc... "Umm" your definition of a dedicated forum and mine appear to differ.
It's only been out for a weekend. Many people that ordered the first day still havent even received theres (myself included). Give it a week or so. It's already been rooted and people are figuring out work-arounds to do what they want with it. Until there's actually mods to make to the device, it probably want get a dedicated section.

But I sure that xda forum is a dedicated forum where all persons can share any new information or problems. I will say thanks to xda forum for aware the informations of dedicated developers. I also visited CSS Chopper where a number of results always found the dedication of developers.
I asked about here but no response.

What is happening?

I've been away and I'm disappointed and disturbed by all the splinter groups starting up for different countries.
This is supposed to be ONE COMUNITY WITH ONE LANGUAGE. It states this. Splitting off is nothing short of breaking up XDA though self imposed racism.
It stinks on a thread where the phone is identical everywhere. Use Google translate.
Don't undue the ideals of the site.
If you want an Arab thread I'm sure one exists in your own country. This is not a site of race groups. We are all the same with the same love of technology.
Lord knows why the moderators let this happen.
I've even seen an English thread. This is harmful racist and dumb. I'd bet money it's newer members. If you don't like it as it is move. Don't fragment the site into the dust

Don't like those threads? Then don't open them
Why not? There might be some country specific questions which might be better answered in a country specific thread.
There are lots of questions related to carriers and accessories which might be country specific. It's easier to ask those questions in a country specific thread.
Just having country specific thread is not racism.

Exactly, let's not be fooled by political correctness. Creating a country specific thread and spreading hate or taking initiative against other race/nation/country etc...yup it's the same
and what does this have to do with the n4?
actually in the galaxy S4 forum the regional threads are not allowed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2381647

Speak for yourself. I find your post more of those things than any other language oriented thread I've read on this site, congrats.
This has already been discussed and country specific threads are allowed on XDA as long they are not made exclusive, they stay on topic (i.e. where to find the best deals in a given locale, carrier reviews, etc.), and the discussions being carried on in these threads stay within the rules.
With that being said, this particular discussion only stands to stir up trouble and cause arguments, so I have no choice but to close it.
Thank you, and have a great day.

why ultimate kernel thread was closed ????

Hi everybody
Thaere is ONE best kernel for notr 4 exynos called "ultimte kernel"
Do u know why it closed ????
Whyyyyyy
Same happened with the AEL kernel in the Snapdragon area (incl their rom). Seems that XDA is overwhelmed by the huge amount of developers for the Note 4 that they want to clean up the areas of bit. Who ever finds the irony can keep it. Now we have one last kernel developer for our devices. Ridiculous. That's not the expected development I hoped for. In this case I could go with a cheaper device without any developers because we don't have much more as well. But we'll, whatever. I'm sure the XDA crew has their reasons.
because of the Rules and Regulations
What rules and regs??what happened

so this thread is acording to a Dictator rules !!!
how can find them , anyone nows any web site ?
@mehdi.moha
use 4PDA Thread or use Perseus Kernel or StockRider Kernel
just search for the name of the kernel or rom you're looking for in google and you'll find it if its elsewhere than XDA.
Echoe staff disagreed with a moderator on XDA, so they voluntarily left and made their own website. unfortunately this went against an XDA rule, and their XDA content has been locked.
Threads get closed for a variety of reasons, sometimes as is the case with Echoe ROMs, it was the decision of the developer. Sometimes, the moderators close the thread because there are problems with it. Typically the moderator staff can not discuss why we closed a particular thread, because that would violate the privacy of the OP. xda is a development site and we do not close development threads with out a good reason and "excercising our dictatorial skills" is not considered a good reason!
Closed is one thing. But "Discontinued" in thread title is misleading.
