Yep. Just saw this. 199 and 249 for 8 and 16 GB. Brilliant price for the phone!

I don't think LTE works on AT&T right? Only t-mobile. If it does damn I have to figure that out since I have an LTE sim card already inside it.

Getting ready for the next nexus phone!!!

I'm one device away from making my Nexus complete. Hope I can do it this time.

Hoping it is for the new Nexus. Kinda killed my resale value though.

Omg i can't believe it. One of the most competitive smartphones on the market for $200...
N4, PA+Franco

Why do this when most people don't even know what a nexus is at least advertise it so apple doesnt get all the shine next month

I'm really tempted by this deal. I mean, it's the same price I got the original 32GB Nexus 7 for, and the phone is great overall. But, I kind of want to wait for the Nexus 5 just because it may offer better specs. It's just so hard to pass this deal up because it's being sold at such an amazing price.
Am I the only one in this predicament?

Are you happy with your current phone? If so, wait for the Nexus 4 (2013).
(Side note: Why does everyone insist on calling the next Nexus phone the Nexus 5? The number refers to the screen size, not the iteration; observe "Nexus 7 (2013)" instead of "Nexus 8", and with Google having stuck to the same phone screen size for 2 generations straight and then reaffirmed their affinity for this screen size with the Moto X, I'm pretty sure that the next Nexus won't be 5", and it won't be called the Nexus 5.)
Even if you decide at that point that you'd still want a N4 instead of a N4-2013, the market at that point will be flooded by people selling their N4s as they upgrade to N4-2013s.

Looking at you Moto X.

I'm actually really sad about this. I was in the works for trading my phone for a note 2 to try the screen size. The other party just gave me the finger I hope this means a new nexus will debut soon I've had this phone the longest of all my phones 9 month and now I'm starting to get that new smartphone itch.

I'm wondering how much it will cost here. Gnex cost about the same as the Nexus 4 16gb so should cost list 17 to 18k right?

Factor in a few costs like shipping taxes and profit of the reseller and most likely 20-25k. Still a good deal at that in my opinion. Of course I'm just speculating.

there have been rumours that both globe and smart are about to provide lte service in our country, don't you think that with this device lacking 4g would eventually be a big draw back for us in the future? Nexus devices have been really slow around here. So my best bet would probably getting one from SG or HK.

Right now the LTE in the philippines seems to be a running joke. They arent covering all of manila just different buildings or small areas. I dont get it. They should LTE the whole thing or at least the majorly populated areas. Plus the LTE cost is high with extremely low bandwidth caps making it useless

TipidCP Nexus 4 thread
Actually, they have even problems with their 3G network. In case you forgot, our 3G (HSDPA and HSPA+)is only at 2Mbit max which is so fvckin' lame! In terms of Smart's so-called "LTE," it can only reach up to 15Mbit which is the normal speed of other country's 3G (HSPA+) or even their 3G is way faster than that! Mind you, their LTE at that time should be fast because it was only a test and there's no one using the signal except for them.
Our telco's aren't ready to cater LTE services.

Nexus 4 - Discussion Thread

I figured many users may want to express what they feel about the new Nexus 4.
Well, in my opinion - It surely is a beast - I don't like the look of it though - The back looks stunning but the front is kind of weird.
THE BEST PART - The price is INSANE! 349 for 16GB GSM - Getting a 2G, Quad Core BEAST is INSANE!
Sorry for caps but it's just amazing! I'm trying to sell out my Nexus to get the N4.
The thing I don't like - It's not SuperAmoled - But it's not Pentile either.
Android 4.2 features are amazing, it looks smooth! I love that they finally included quick settings and the sphere camera thing is epic.
Let's get this thread going
the phone is very cheap for the hardware, but i think if it won´t offer a better batterylife i can wait. the nexus itself is awesome and very fast, there´s no need for me atm for more power xD
i hate the fact that google is gonna take the way of apple, getting money (50€/$) for 8gb extra internal storage... and the 8gb version makes not much sense. if u own such a device, you´d like to play games, that take benefits from the hardware and such games are 1gb+. all in all i can wait for the moment. in 2months i can get a new phone, because my contract is gonna expire
i´d always prefer a nexus, but hd display, with only 16gb storage sucks if u want to watch hd videos :/ so i might take an s3 or nexus tablet for that and stick to the nexus as mainphone, we´ll see.

I got mine on 10/5, so about 3 weeks ago. Does anyone know anyway to convince Google to take it as a return? I see they have 15 days only on their website, which is honestly a joke... Except for big ticket items (cars, homes, etc.) the standard should really be 30 days and I'd even say up to 90. Anyway, any guidance is helpful, if there isn't any, no big deal.

How the hell Google is taking way of apple when Google is selling their flagship phone for $300-$350? Apple charges $700 for the unlocked iPhone 5. At this price I don't think there is any room to complain.
Sent from my Nexus 7
I am seriously considering getting one of these babies at launch. The specs look fantastic and I have grown to love stock android since getting my Nexus 7. I'm hoping I can set my 6 month old One X about £270-280 so that it will cover this purchase. The only downgrade will be the storage space but considering I only use about 4gb of the available space on my One X it won't be an issue.
I understand for some 16gb won't be enough. But if you look at what Google has done with the Nexus 7 I wouldn't be surprised to see a 32gb model released a few months down the line.
I'd like to see a screen comparison between the One X and the Nexus 4. I LOVE the screen on my One X and if the Nexus 4 screen isn't at a similar level it could make me decide to stick with what I have.

Undoubtedly! The Nexus 4 is SO cheap! I can literally sell my Galaxy Nexus right now for the same price of the Nexus 4.
At this point it may be difficult to sell the GNex at New pricing, unless you literally ordered it before it was removed from Play or you use convincing-enough wording when listing it on Amazon.

I'm going to buy direct from Google and switch to GiffGaff. It runs on o2's network so the signal will be the same. They have a variety of very low priced offers. Check it out: http://giffgaff.com/
I've cancelled my contract with Vodafone. Contracts are just too expensive in the long run. This phone will be around £25-30 for 2 years. That makes a total price of £600-720. Buying direct and using GiffGaffs £10 a month offer after two years it is £520

Thinking of selling my 2012 nexus 7.

Thought about selling it to get a newer one while there is still value. But my main concern is the issues with the 2013 nexus 7. But at the same time i wanted a larger tablet but dont at the same time. Plus my 2012 nexus is just reliable for me. Never failing. Not sure if i should trade a reliable tab then buy something that may not be as reliable.

Might be worth while buying the 2013 then selling the 2012 when you're happy

I don't know. The development section for the 2012 Nexus 7 is alive and well and everything is stable since its been out much longer, why not just save cash and wait until the 2013 Nexus 7 becomes more stable and reliable not to mention cheaper. You really aren't missing out on any exclusives as I'm sure Kitkat 4.4 will be on both the Nexus 2012 and 2013.
Besides, after the Nexus 7 got 4.3 that pesky fstrim problem went away so now you don't really get that terrible lag after a while. I'm running Slimbean night lies with the default stock kernel and lay out and I'm happy to present its very stable and very smooth and the battery life is above average at default voltages/gov/io.
TL;DR : If it ain't broken, TRY not to fix it.

So, I have a best buy junk out coming up for my One. This should be happening in the next week or so.
I was told I can get any phone in store that is of equal or lesser value, then get the difference in store credit if lower. So, do I get the Nexus 5 32 gig and take the $250.00ish store credit?? I'm kind of leaning that way, but I have been an HTC fanboi for so damn long that I'm a-scurred! lol

From what I read earlier, Sprint will be offering the Nexus 5 for $199 w/ $50 MIR with contract or you can buy it form them for MORE than what you'd pay if you bought directly from Google... Somewhere around $550. If you're taking the contract route it's cheaper, but you get screwed if you buy it from them. I just purchased my Nexus 5 32GB for $438 and may, or may not, be switching to T-Mobile cause I guess I roamed too much?

I use my one for everything and it has yet to let me down. Sometimes pictures could be better but the way I look at it, it's a smart phone, not a digital camera. If I want high quality digital photos then I should probably use one of those. What does impress me about the camera though is how good the low light photos turn out. Unmatched. The other thing I feel can't be beat is the front speaker sound quality. Front speakers do make a huge difference! Beats with viper4android makes this phone sound awesome! I've yet to hear a handheld device sound better. Until another phone manufacturer comes out with front facing stereo speakers that sound at least as good as these I'll be sticking with the one series.

Not sure how reliable this is, but in an online chat with Staples yesterday, I was told they would be selling it also. No word on pricing, but I will probably get one when they get in stock (company account at Staples = easier to justify and write off). For the time being, I plan on getting a TMOB prepaid SIM and using it as a second phone line. If I like it enough, it may replace my One.

They did the same thing with the HTC One, $200.00 over regular off contract price, but I just walked in and said I need a price match to Amazon.com and they said "ok no problem"

PSA - AT&T Insurance will NOT replace your phone

It is covered, but the company that handles insurance claims for them can not get you a new N5. They will offer you a G2.
The reason is their phones are sent from a carrier's warehouse. AT&T is not carrying the N5, so their warehouse will never have it.
On that note; any suggestions how to get the phone quickest? Is it possible to go to Best Buy and claim it through AT&T there once the phone is released? I JUST got done with the long ass wait, it's gonna kill me to go through the credit card for a refund and place another order and wait weeks and weeks. Or is it best to contact LG / Google
It was a drop, so my fault.
A. Why would you ever think AT&T could replace a phone they don't sell.
B. You should actually be happy about this, you should be able to flip a G2 for more than enough to buy another N5 and maybe even make a healthy profit in the process.

G2's are going for $500+ so you'll easily be able to get another N5.
The G2 is a much better phone anyways

That's debatable. I'd take a nexus 5 over it any day of the week. Yes it gets better battery life, has a slightly larger screen, and takes slightly better pix, but that UI is just alwful! I rather have faster updates too.

The UI alone is enough to make me want to not touch it with a 10ft pole. Even Touchwiz is better. Yes, I just said that.
OP: Take the G2 and sell it.
It is really interesting because today I asked from orange (switzerland) my insurance is valid for N5? They're said of course. But in Switzerland actually you cannot buy N5 directly from any carrier.

Probably a better insurance plan. The US carriers use Assurion, a company that will screw you every chance it gets. My last phone was like $12/mo premium with a $200 deductible. No thanks.
OP, I agree with the others. Take the G2, sell it on Swappa, and buy a new N5 and clear $50 or so.
