[Q] original Lockscreen - RAZR i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hello,
trying to pass on the Pi-LAMA's rom. I'm looking for the lockscreen original razr i.
I also would like to know how to put the launcher and system ui French.
Thank you

The system language can be changed under Settings -> Language & input -> Language (tap the menu entry at the top) -> Français.
The lockscreen style is stored inside framework-res.apk so you need to mod yours, or download and install an alternative one, e.g. max_chocos mod http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2393777 (without motorola lockscreen)
I don't know if anyone posted an installer zip for the stock framework, but I can upload framework-res.apk from Omars rom (with motorolas lockscreen) if you want.

thank you for your help!
I have my razr setting in french but my launcher (pages widget and shortcuts) are always in English.
For the lockscreen j tests flash the zip in the link that you give me and I'll keep you current.

I hope you understood that this zip doesn't contain the stock lockscreen?
My mod of this framework has the motorola lockscreen, you just need to replace the framework-res.apk inside the zip with this one, before flashing it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45180637#post45180637
Edit: Does Pi-Llama use Apex launcher? I think it does, so I tell you how to change the language there: Double tap your homescreen and go into "Apex settings", then open "Advanced settings"->"Select language"->"Default" (or "Français", so it doesn't get affected by system language)

for the MOD, I understood.
By cons I flash the zip launcher in this link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2174731) and I think it's just the launcher which is in English!
If you just help me translate it I would be very happy!
thank you

I looked at it and think I found the problem. You installed "RazRi_BlurLauncher_Install.zip - Reinstalls Blur Launcher with the Circle Widgets and removes Apex" right?
This is the english-only version of the launcher.
You need to install "RazRi_BlurLauncher_Install_de.zip - Reinstalls Blur Launcher with the Circle Widgets and removes Apex (Deutsch)"
This launcher is not german-only, but multilingual (I tested it a few minutes ago). After you installed this launcher version, it automatically uses your system language

thank you for all your help works great!
and congratulations to you app frameworks!
See you soon

Can you share your zip? Cause, i can't flash the zip
Im on MIUI 1.9.2..
Sorry for my poor english, thankyou for helping me
Hi,
I'm using the Extended Settings Mod from your link, and in the download link, there is a file called Center_O2X I think. That's the one I flashed, and it worked, despite there is some chinese in the notification bar (the words "notifications" and "toggles" are not translated).
For me, after rebooting from recovery, it crashed, so i reboot again and it is working well. I just did it 30 minutes ago ^^

Lockscreen Wallpaper MANUALLY change

Hi all!
Have a question. i'm on stock based rom
How can i MANUALLY change lockscreen wallpaper. what files should i push to system folders?
I get FC when i try to change wallpaper using Settings\Display\Lockscreen wallpaper option.
Several custom roms already provide NOT stock lockscreen wallpaper and i want to know if i can change it myself.
Please dont advice me to change the lockscreen app.
and YES, i did search this forum and found partial solution here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1520258&highlight=lockscreen
But in that solution the LOCKscreen wallpaper changes as fas as i change the HOMEscreen wallpaper and i want 2 separate\different wallpapers
noone knows the solution?
what UI are you using eg: touchwiz or go launcher? also are you on rooted stock rom?

Look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31380208&postcount=2
You may have to mod the apk file manually to inject your wallpaper...
Using Gallery you can also just search for the wallpaper you want to add wherever it is located...easier solution IMHO...
Did you ever figure this out?
cant you go to gallery and open the pic you want as wallpaper and hit the menu button and select "set as"
Gallery > Image > Set As > Lockscreen Wallpaper.
Ah i guess. Im on a stock galaxy nexus but thought you guys were on stock rooted roms for your devices. so figured you would be in the same boat as me. Stock jelly bean can't set lock screen wallpapers.
Oh well

[Q] Unable to arrange icons in menu screen - Paranoidandroid 2.12 - JB 4.1.1

Hi guys
I'm using the amazing rom which called Paranoidandroid 2.12 and when I'm trying to edit and arrange the icons on the menu (not on homescreen) and even creating a new folder it's impossible .. tried using nova & apex launchers and it doesn't work either .. is there any way to do that ?
Thanks,
Moshe
What you are referring to is the App Drawer, not the "menu" (big difference!).
Creating folders and rearranging the program icons within the App Drawer is something that is specific to Samsung's TouchWiz launcher, and as such is something that you can't do in Apex or Nova.
What you can do, however, is set up the top headers to be pseudo-folders. Currently it should say something like "apps" and "downloaded" and "widgets" or similar. With the paid-for Apex Pro (I know Nova does the same, but I am unfamiliar with the launcher and the corresponding process) you can customise those headings. On mine, for example, I have the headers set to "Programs" (I HATE the phrase "Apps"), "Tools" and "Games" with the widgets list disabled.
So, if you are after folders, and can make do with only three folders (the widgets section is redundant as long as you can add a widget to your homescreen with long-press) then you can do that with Apex Pro.
Unfortunately, there USED to be a thread in the apps section for the JB GSIII Touchwiz launcher for CyanogenMod 10, but for some reason I can't find it anymore to link it to you...
so, arranging the icons on the menu like on ics (not on the homescreen) not available on jb ?

you still mean the App drawer, not the menu! The menu is the text list that appears when you press the left capacitive button on the phone or the three dots in apps. The App Drawer is the full list of all programs you have installed on your phone with icons. The two are very different, please refer to the correct thing as it's very confusing otherwise!
anyway, as luck would have it, I've found the thread for Touchwiz on CM10: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1854826
If you install this then you will be able to do everything that you remember and require from stock Galaxy Note ROMs including folders in the app drawer.
As another clarification for you, ICS and JB are not the problem for you. When you say ICS you mean the stock Samsung Galaxy Note ICS Touchwiz based ROM, and when you say JB you mean Paranoid Android 2.12 CyanogenMod 10 based ROM. Those last bits are crucial. Apex runs on ICS just find and you still can't do the folder thing that you want to do with Apex on ICS. Only Touchwiz - regardless of Android version - can do the folders and rearranging of icons in the app drawer.

Wait? Is this for Android 4.0 and above? If so, you have to write it in the title of the post! Good work, though...

[Q] Need help removing default Launcher link from Settings

So I installed the Reincarnation Rom Series v.5 | Touchwiz Nature UX Edition [23/02/2014] rom, & as many have already said the launcher is laggy so I removed the S4 launcher & S4 lockscreen using install manager & installed holo launcher instead. But there r options under settings for these two apps & when selected those, the Settings app crashes. Now while this isnt that big an issue, just for the peace of mind (& learning something new in the process) I'd like to know how can i remove/hide the Launcher & Lockscreen option links from Settings.
Appreciate any help. Sorry had to post here as cant post on the development section for being a n00b.

Setting.apk is coded in such a way to display S4 Launcher and S4 Lockscreen in the settings menu and when you click it, it basically searches for the required packages and runs it. However in your case, since the packages are already uninstalled, Settings.apk can't find the package and hence it crashes. However if you are still hell-bent on removing it, then I suggest you go through the following thread. It is a thread on editing your settings menu in the Settings.apk by first decompiling it, then making required changes and then compiling it again. I suggest you take a backup of Settings.apk before you try this.
How to Edit the Settings Menu on Your Android Device?
Hope I Helped
