i downloaded v20a_00.kdz from csmg.lgmobile.com and flashed it using kdz updater but every time after flashing the phone restarts and gets stuck at the lg logo with all 4 buttons and lg logo blinking continuously. i have to flash v10g to get my phone to work again. plz help with the jb update.

on that link the lg e615 rom for india is given as v10g which is the ics rom I am already running.. I checked through lg pc suite and it says an update is available and downloads v20a but also ends up with the same flashing logo problem. and yes my phone is lg l5 dual.

ignore the region, just use v20D for e615 and flash with kdz. be patient and let it finish flashing... ur phone will restart on its own once done ..

.. Jist usebwhat i have said ,,, but make sure its LG E615 (f) ... then use tjmhe V20D version unless yhey have rolled out jb for ud country, if not use tje V20D it should work and officially updatevur device to jelly goodness

I'm please to make the latest (*at time of writing) LG 2X ROM release available for your use in NVFlash format. This is doubly useful as it provides us with a great 'disaster recovery' solution for when we're playing with new ROMs, recoveries etc.
Please note that you use this at your own risk!
NVFlash is for use on Windows PCs.
Excellent details on how to set up NVFlash are available in this topic (thanks jmcnz), but in a nutshell the process is:
Download the ROM file below
Download the driver file below
Turn device off, remove battery, plug device in while holding volume up and down - screen will stay black but Windows will add a new 'APX' devices
Install drivers extracted from driver file download
Run 'flash.bat' from ROM file download
Wait for flash to complete and device to reboot

Dont think so, this is a vanilla version of the orginal ROM which was shipped on the Optimus mode. We'll have to wait a bit longer for the CWM

Question is.. what's new in this release if you have 10a, is there a point in doing an update?
I'm guessing it'll wipe everything if I update through NVflash? In that case i'll wait for CWM and some other goodies first.

V10A for scandinavia etc.
V10C for other european contries and so on.

Hmmm would be strange, i'm from holland and i have a Optimus with version 10a but it's possible we are sided with them (small country afterall).
V10A in italy too
V10m in Korea.

I hope you got, that this was a thread in O3D Optimus 3D Forum... Anyway, if you want a stock Rom, just use R&D tool (use search) and read the first post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111771 and then read my reply http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22237122&postcount=449 and you will be able to flash v20x. Being noob doesnt mean u ll get a step by step guide, so do some reading pls. If you want a custom rom, also go to first thread, download the pack, use blackjack to root or search for root v10x where x is your version and then use CWM.exe (or similar) to install CWM or do it by RomManager! Then download a custrom from Dev Section and havbe fun

U CANNOT overclock V20n! You need Nova ROM to do this, and this is only 2.2... So better think about it again Root your phone now, and then install Zeus, it is v20n, but modified, to be faster...

Not every kernel supports ums. Additionally it has to be activated in menu ( ->memory->hit the options-button). Otherwise you can use apps like "software data cable" and copy your stuff with wifi.

v20h has some bugs which will make u remove the battery after the calls gets cut. Like the display wont come up.If u had faced the same problem as me anytime,do let me know cos i found a baseband version which gets u out of this 20h problem. If u havent encountered then ur lucky.

U can try "NOVA HD RUBUILD V1.1"
Its really good and crispy.its an ICS build. But no video acceleration. If u want to see how p990 reacts to ICS, can give a try.:thumbup:

i already tried it but i am facing a battery issue with there kernel and then came back to stock. i think that the orignal ics dont have such issue. and i also heard that the stock ics is come with major updates like lg quickmemo etc and more new features...waiting for that

yes ofcourse. if u download v20h and if you had not rooted your phone, then you can upgrade using lg upgrade tool. if the new version is available then you can. if the software projects like "you have the latest version then you cannot".

Actually I need to take it to the service center because my front camera is not working.. so if i just flash the v20h by using clockwordmod then its fine.. then wont get to know anything.. currently using v28elite

Do NOT use this tool to DOWNGRADE from v20X to v10X!
You can safely UPGRADE from v10X to v20X or you can upgrade or downgrade between any two versions of v10X and v20X. (i.e. from v10F to v10H or from v20A to v20B)

I myself upgraded from v10F to v10H, from v10H to v20A leaked version and from v20A leaked version to v20A official version using Windows XP without any problems and wihout losing any settings or applications.

Flashing KDZ files on an LG phone is a complex task.
I've developed a helper application which can be used to flash any KDZ file on your hard disk using LG PC Suite.
WARNING: Use this application at your own risk.
Here are the steps to flash a KDZ file:
1. Download the application from: http://www.tazetaze.com/?dl_id=5 (186 KB)
2. Extract the LGKDZ.exe file from the zip file and execute it. (Minimum .NET Framework 2.0 required)
3. If you get a warning like the one below, click any button you like. (it does not affect the application)

6. After your phone is recognized by LG PC Suite, click the "Upgrade Check" button.
7. You will see the following messages in LGKDZ application and LG PC Suite will tell you that it found a new version. Click the "Upgrade" button and proceed with the upgrade (or downgrade if you chose a KDZ file with lower version)
8. Do not close the LGKDZ application until upgrade is completed.

Note 1: You must have stock LG ROM installed on your phone for LG PC Suite to recognize your phone. With custom ROMs, this solution will not work.
HOW IT WORKS:
When you click the "Upgrade Check" button, LG PC Suite sends a query to LG servers with your IMEI number asking the lastest version of the firmware for your region.
This application captures this request, changes the latest version info to V99Z, and the location of the KDZ file to the file you selected on your hard drive.
So, LG PC Suite thinks that there is a new version, downloads this "new" version from your hard disk, thinking that it's downloading from the LG servers and then flashes the KDZ to your phone.

It's much shorter and simple. You update as if you've got a new version from LG.
Important note: Your phone must have stock LG ROM to update with LG PC Suite.
(That's what I think but I haven't tested. I would appreciate if someone with Custom ROM can test if it works...)

LG PC Suite may have issues with Windows 8.
I am using Windows XP and I upgraded my phone from Turkish v10F to Europe Open v10H using the version hacker.
And please be sure not to close "LG PC Suite Version Hacker" until upgrade is completed.

Yes, that's what I did on my Optimus 4X.
I had Turkish v10F installed but then I installed Europe Open 10H.
Hi i have an lg p760 L9 and i am trying the update but when i press start to update from brand tim 10b to 10h lg pc suite begin to download the firmware. But it is on my hard disk already downloaded. Any workaround or this is normal?

Please answer the following to get it right:
Without using the hacker application, LG PC Suite says there is no update. Is that right?
If your answer is "YES" and you are following the instructions on the first page, yes it's normal.
It seems to be downloading from the Internet, but it is downloading (well, actually copying) the KDZ file you selected.

I cannot answer your question because normally there is tim10c as Last update so i Will try again in The morning And i Will let you know. A user from An italian forum following this guide is stuck at 40% of "download-copy" after pressing upgrade. Why?

Well, the application is tested on Windows XP, with LG PC Suite v5.2 and LG Optimus 4X.
LG PC Suite doesn't recognize my phone, I think this might be because I'm using the CM 10.1 ROM of Eternity Project, any help?

That's what I expected. LG PC Suite requires that you have stock LG ROM installed on your phone.
For users who have custom ROM installed, the only way to flash KDZ files is the traditional one, not this solution.
