No, and OpenGL ES not from SoC, but from GPU
Only Adreno 305++ can running OpenGL ES 3.0

So xperia L has 305 meaning it has support for 3.0
Does it mean that GPU wise, Xperia L is better than V?

The thing with Xperia SP is the camera quality thats why I resorted to Xperia L or Xperia V. The nexus 4 here in the Philippines is worth like xperia ZR and 16GB is a big no that's why I'm down to these two phones

well adreno 203 is better than 205 and you can compare 205 vs 200 on the internet.
you wont find any thing for 203 so am telling you what qualcomn tech support told about 203 having same specs as 205 but a better performance/battery support.
officially 203>205>200.
So I Should not buy an Adreno 203 phone ??

I say off all available 203 is the best choice(out of 203 , 205 , 200).

[Q] Buy xperia T or xperia SP

Hello xda members.
It's time for me to change my xperia U. I was thinking to buy xperia T or xperia SP.
Which device do you think it's better? Xperia sp has adreno 320 and 1,7 ghz dual core s4 pro.
Is xperia t a good device? Everything works fine on jb?
Thank you

Here is the difference between Xperia TX and Xperia SP
Xperia T - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Xperia SP
(1. No LTE) ( 1. Has LTE)
(2.Bravia Engine 1) (2.Bravia Engine 2)
(3. Internal Memory 16 GB) (3. Internal Memory 8 GB)
(4.Bluetooth 3.1) (4. Bluetooth 4.0)
(5.Camera 13 MP) (5. Camera 8 MP)
Definitely SP's performance is better cuz it has more powerful processor and better GPU and higher Battery. So if you are gamer choose SP. But if want to take good picture and also gaming choose Xperia T.
I'm using Xperia TX,(same as Xperia T) It's very stylish and good looking rather then SP. But Xperia TX also has a removable battery but T and SP not, so that's a good plus point. So if considered overall Xperia TX is the winner.
I played many HD games in my TX and all of them are ran very smoothly. So i'm happy with my Xperia TX. So my opinion is performance wise SP is better. But overall Xperia TX is best. Still choice is yours :cyclops:
I hope you will find ur desired mobile :good:
@irfan_omi22 Thanks mate
I don't care about BE as it can be ported. The only thing i worry about is the performance. SP costs 100 euros more and don't want to spend all this money, that's why i asked if the T's performance is good enough. As about games the only game i play is NFS and some fps. Ok, i think the best choice is T.
Just a note, I've seen that the adreno 320 devices have higher resolution textures in high-end games compared to the T/V.
Tapatalked from my Xperia V
SP has a way bigger battery, xperia t will get you through the day if you're a medium user but not if you're a heavy user. So, if battery is important to you I think you should go for the SP. Also I like the aluminium design of the SP. I wish I could trade my T for a SP.

Small correction there: The T would get you through a day with heavy usage and about 2 days with low usage. Also SP has the sexy LED strip!
Also BE2 ports? I don't really trust they work. At least I havent found a working port for mine.

Via pimp my rom i can integrate bravia engine 2. I don't link led bad to be honest mate. I personally don't find it useful for xperia u. I don't use it at all even for notifications.

Gaming is not something I do often but I have tried some games such as Anomaly HD, Gun Strike, Razor Salvation, Tentacle Wars and CS Portable. I have not experienced any kind of lag. As for phone calls, occasionally the dialer does lag a bit when making calls (especially T9 dialer) and annoys me, but that maybe because I have well over 200 apps and installed and many of them have running processes. If you're talking about calls during games, there is no problem. Incoming calls are fine.
About Bravia, there is no real proof that it works (even with those who claim it works) so it might just be two lines on your build.prop and a couple useless of extra files in your system

It seems that SP has a different CPU(series) from others(T,TX,Z etc).So maybe FXP/CM support will not be easy, but I can't be sure of it...
To be honest bro, I don't use cm10 even if its a great rom. I used it on my Xperia u but didn't like it because of the camera.
I found sp on almost same price with Xperia t so I think I'll buy the sp.

Shall i buy the Xperia T

Hello i am thinking of buying Xperia T but since Android 4.3 is comming out i thought that Xperia T is a bit too old .... shall i buy it or buy something else .
Its pretty cheap for its specs and i think its one of the best phones out there but its is kinda old.

Yes, you can buy mine!
Only joking mods.
Seriously, im getting rid of mine for the Moto X. And if i wasnt getting that id get the Nexus 4.
So you suggest me to go with the Xperia SP rather than the Xperia T ???
Xperia T has better camera but Xperia SP is a more pricie in Greece.
Also Xperia T has the SOD issue.
I dont know yet i will compare the two.
And search the thing a bit more.
Edit: I searched the thing and i will probably go with the SP if i have the money.
It has a 1.7 Dual Core proccessor and 4g Technology
But the 8 MP camera should be enough for a person which does not take much photos.
But as for the front camera....Is 0.3 MP enough for Skype calls ???

hey bro, the main interesting part you should go for in SP is GPU, did you know that it has Adreno 320 GPU?!!! the same as the one used in Xperia Z, while the pixel quantity is way less than Xperia Z, so you would see better graphic performance, or AT LEAST the same
no one can compare Adreno 320 (in SP) with Adreno 225 (in T and TX)
don't make my mistake, go for SP
hope that my words come of a service to you, bro

I had the same doubt and i decided to go for T for the following reasons:
1)Better camera (13/1.3 vs 8/vga). Most sp users complain about camera quality.
2)More internal storage 16gb (T) vs 8gb (SP)
3) Also seems there are some problems with touchscreen of the SP.
4)I really like the design of the T.
5)It's true that has an adreno 225 the T but i also took a look on several gaming reviews on youtube and seems there are no lags.
6)Found T for 230 euros and SP for 350 euros.
7)T has cyanogenmod and even if there are no official releases from sony cm will give us probably android 4.3 and 5.0.
8)On some videos of youtube seems that t has better display than SP.
Just my opinion mate.
Thanks but now i am more confused.
As for the price Xperia T 264 EURO and Xperia SP 300 (no bigie there)
SP +
1)Adreno 320
2)Bravia Engine 2
3)Bluetooth 4
4)4G
5)Larger battery (++)
6)CPU
7)Larger Screen
8)Aluminum Frame
9)I like the button
10)Dedicated camera button
SP -
1)Camera
2) Internal
3)Design
4)Pixel Density
(Internal Storage is not a huge deal for me .... because i will have a 16GB external storage and with apps to sd its no biggie)
Know Problems : http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/128963?start=0&tstart=0
Xperia T +
1)design
2)Camera
3)Pixel density
4)Internal Storage
Xperia T -
1)CPU
2)GPU
3)no dedicated camera button
4)Older handset which means it may not get the 5.0 kelimepie update
5)Small Battery
Known Problems : http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Android-Devices-Samsung-HTC-Sony/Sony-Xperia-T-sleep-of-death/td-p/393068
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1961714
Small battery offers way less fun
But still a good and Cheaper handset.....
I am not sure....
You can't be sure about android 5.0 update.
Xperia t was created as high end device and sp like mid range device.
There are several mods and roms for t currently not available for sp.
Right but i think i will go for the SP because i it will be updateable to 5.0 and it has better specs

No! Buy Xperia T.
No words can describe that! Simply I went to the store and SP wasn't even close to T! I can't explain why.
As somebody said here T is made to be high end, and SP mid range phone.
This is evidence specifications mean nothing!
There's new Honami flagship on the way, price of Z(L) can drop!
Either go with T or with Z(L)
If you want newer Androids, T has good development, go to xda and install.
I think Sony even said older devices (T) is getting 4.3 but I don't know.
The best thing I think is to buy a nexus 4 if you want for sure getting android 5 and 4.3.
Since processors, rams and other stuff change every 6 months and you can't never be sure that you have the best phone of the moment, why don't you buy a phone like Xperia t and a tablet like Google nexus 7? You will have a great phone and an epic tablet for gaming etc. I am thinking to do this way personally.
I cant afford both ( i can barely afford one ) so i will buy the best phone.
But guys personaly i am not taking very many photos (1-2 per 2 or even 3 months and not from people objects and stuff most of the time)
and i need something up to date and very fast with a large screen.(both Sp and T have these things)
I went to the store and meesed with the Xperia Sp for a bit and saw that it fitted my hand well and it did not lag a bit.
When SP gets old (in one year or so ) i will start messing with it (if there are no update to future android versions) like changing the rom or flashing a kernel or even overclocking it so its stays up to date. Also i saw somewhere that SP is designed as a High End device and it will be updateable even in the future android versions (after 5.0)
Also the place where i am buying the phone from has not the Nexus 4 available now.But in no store in my town i found the Nexus 4 ... i dont think it is available in Greece.

Umm, pretty sure you might need to explain something because as far as I can tell, it doesn't.
Googled some specifications just to make sure and this is what I found -
Chipset: Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800
CPU: Quad-core 2.2 GHz Krait 400
I've also tried searching "Xperia Z1 ARMv7" and there is hardly any useful results.
Also looked here and Z1 isn't listed anywhere. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1596800

Cant post links right now, but on anandtech (anandtech.com/show/9388/comparing-snapdragon-810-v2-and-v21) they mentioned v2 was the first mass production revision. So i believe sony could not buy any v1 chip
